With all the different combos going on I find it odd that we haven't given manse ago.
In my opinion, he's a real leader. Would be good to have him bring a bit of measure about us.
I appreciate Clarkes attacking play. It's great to watch, but there is merit to having one player thinking about the game from a different angle.

Def should start against Barrow, especially with lines suspended

IMO he could be the holding player we badly need at the moment.

Sits in front of the back four and helps keep the shape. We've missed him so Much this season.

Didn't Lines miss one of the Crawley cup games, if so, who can he be suspended again so soon, surely he hasn't clocked up another 5 bookings since then? This is the seemingly up to date one caution away list: www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/discipline/suspensions Gaffers, MT & Hartley one card away, so all clear now as we don't play until after the 30 Nov?

Surely has to be considered now. He has been fit for months and seems to have been discarded by DC. Not even on the bench. His experience would be vital to the youngsters playing at this level for the first time.

How many games as Manse played at this level given he's spent most of his career at Torquay prior to signing for us?

A couple of seasons with Luton, totalling probably about 30 or so games, early in his career. Not a great deal of experience, but I'm more surprised that he hasn't been tried purely because he was excellent alongside Lines in the run in last year and it is surprising that DC hasn't wanted to at least see if they could hack it together in this division.

Not too sure to be honest. I know he played a few seasons for Luton Town when they played in div 1. I just think he has more experience of higher leagues than some of the others have coming from the conference together. Not pretending for one moment this will cure any faults, but it has been proved that over the last two years he brings out the best in Lines, or at least gives him the freedom he needs whilst also banging in a few goals. He also has played many 3rd FA Cup matches which may help also

You sense it's a bit like the Mildy situation last season, once DC makes his mind up about a player there's no going back, perhaps he's hoping his lack of game time will encourage him to leave in January and so free up some of the playing budget? You do sometime wonder if DC would have been better rocking the boat in the summer and telling Manse etc that whilst he'd offer them contracts they had no futures at the club, it's not as though DC's given them a real chance to prove themselves in Div 1.

Mans e would certainly gives us a voice in midfield and if he played deeper, would possibly free up Lines

Not good enough. Sinclair is the better option. He was not excellent last year at all, he shouts points and chases shadows. Top bloke, good pro, but not the answer. He along with a few others are rightly being phased out after earning 1 year extensions last season.
Our personnel has remained the same since we were doing ok a month ago. There's no need for panic or sweeping changes. A couple of fresh signings in January will see us comfortable in this division.

Yeah I am thinking back to the thread about us finding our true league position. I think we are still a handful short of quality players. If we get to January mid table and we make the right acquisitions then we will be alright. I think it may take a few seasons to establish ourselves and hopefully push on. We've been spoilt the last 2 years. Now we are seeing a more normal progression of a club on the up. But we still are a club on the up.

I get the like of Sinclair, I do. but he can hardly be called a positional player and that can often leave gaps that another player would cover. when the other player is Lines who can't really tackle...

Manse hasn't had a chance. Him alongside Lines from Christmas made a big difference. I hope he gets the chance and let's be honest it can't be much worse than the last few matches. I am seriously surprised he hasn't played, I kind of presumed he wasn't match fit and with all the midfielders we've got just couldn't get a place. Pretty sure he won't let us down but as he would sit in front of the back four perhaps DC has decided Ollie C is the better option. UTG!
