Don't know what you guys think, but I think this interview from DC is the most he has ever criticised the players.
He says in his heart of hearts he knows certain players have reached their level. He says it's not rocket science where he needs to strengthen. He also talks as if changes in January are not a possibility, but inevitable:

As discussed in the match thread, in my opinion a good interview. He doesn't name the people he thinks need replacing if they don't improve fast and so doesn't turn it into a personal attack, he does say we need to invest if we have ambition to push on he does say that the board have backed him so far and has no reason to assume they won't in January.

He's given the players a chance this season and they have done ok,he's not daft though and anyone can see if we want to push on we need more quality and that is going to cost Over to you wael

Actions speak louder than words. Lets see what happens in January, irrespective to what happens in the games before then its been quite obvious for quite sometime new blood is needed.

Yes, and no one knows this more than DC. He has been loyal to the players that have worked so hard and loyal to him. That was the right thing to do until proven that they couldn't step up. The manager now knows who can and cannot provide what we now need and wants to bring in new blood in Jan. He said it in this interview and he has said it several times in recent weeks. I agree it's now action rather than words that count. The actions of our new owners that is, let's see if they are as good as the words.

In DC and Waels head we are a year ahead of ourselves and it's going to cost them quite a bit of money for the next step up and even more once we get there

He should embarrassed, losing to a side two divisions below is pathetic. It's happened three times in three years. He obviously needs to play his strongest team snd stop taking the water out of our supporters. I'm all for giving players a chance, but some of the players he signed pre season aren't up to it. Time to sort it out.

Not listened but undoubtedly some players aren't up to L1 but DC needs to look at his tactics as well. If you want to play a progressive style that means both fullbacks are pushed up the field at the same time then you need a midfielder sat in front of the centrebacks to augment them when play breaks down.

Previously DC has said he's got the green light for transfers.
After the Charlton game that became more of a threat, with him saying players have a few weeks to prove they are top 6 quality.
He's now gone a step further and is outright saying some players are not good enough and will be replaced.
For me, this is a significant change in stance for a guy that has always praised his players. I just wonder exactly who he's talking about?
He says it's not rocket science. I think it may be the holding midfielder (OC) as the full backs aren't being covered effectively leaving us vulnerable on the break. I also think TL may be another, as teams are going through the middle of us far too easily.

Whilst agreeing that many changes of staff are needed, January is an awkward time to get the requisite players. Anybody any good is required by their current team, so will cost much more, anybody else we don't want anyway. It's the summer, when you get better value for money.
That said, you could work your way through the team today, and be hard pressed to find someone worthy of their wage this week.
Roos? Nuff said
Brown- so so
James Clarke so so
Leadbitter- just not good enough. Won't take on full backs, and forgets about defending.
Lockyer - long since time he was taken out of the firing line.
Lines - just not good enough
Etc etc etc.
Until DC is willing to drop his untouchables, this will go on. Dont even start me on the rest of the team.
DC has been here over two years and still can't pick his best 11. It's not a project DC, it's a bloody football match. Chelsea have just picked the same team 10 games running. And they can afford to chop and change every game.
DC needs help, and I hope he gets it in January, because if he doesn't more and more people will start thinking the unthinkable. However, first and foremost he must help himself, by developing a settled team, give or take the odd one or two changes match by match.
As for today, where was Boetang, who is big enough and strong enough to deal with the Barrow giants?
This game proved, as if we didn't know already, our biggest weakness is that we have no height in the team, therefore we might as well give up on corners and free kicks into the box. We have a keeper that few have faith in. Therefore we are weakened at the outset. We must get a tall striker in, a tall strong centre back, and a tall strong goalkeeper. That will be the three musts in January, then in the summer, another three or four quality players to replace our conference players who have over achieved, but have now reached their limit. That said, I would still keep Sinclair, but replace the others.

I just feel he needs a kick up the ass sometimes and to get stuck in more but to say "he isn't good enough" is a bizarre comment.

here's to deadline day loan deals fed every other hour then GGMI is on the case already! I know it's not our priority but I like the look of 20 year old striker Kashket who plays for Wycombe. Scored a hat trick yesterday, all 3 goals well taken and his contract runs out this month. Wycombe fans are desperate for him to sign an extension.
