DC and MS have to take their share of responsibility for today's performance as well as the players.
What were they trying to achieve with a 4-4-2 formation which, Lines apart, had not a jot of creativity in midfield? The formation had all the hallmarks of a team set up to contain the opposition, not to take them on. Opposition which was two leagues below us!
Lines, admittedly, had a poor game today but that only served to highlight what little else the midfield had to offer. How many times did the midfield pass the ball sideways or backwards to the back four and/or goalkeeper? Where was the pace and movement and, Sinclair's first half effort aside, where were the forward runs?
The constant chopping and changing of the side and the different formations is not helping and DC is beginning to sound like a stuck record when he repeatedly defaults to blaming the players.
Time to stand up and be counted DC.

I think DC needs to take a long hard look at his "back room" staff....
The defence coach, well.... employed as a kit cleaner and now in charge of couching our "defence"....
The Goalkeeping coach.... the last 3 seasons we have had poor Goalies and none have been improved by his coaching....
Before DC starts pointing fingers at players he needs to take a long hard look at his chosen coaches first

We have had a bad spell over the past 6- 8 games where the effort and some of the performances have been ok if not results yet we are only two points out of the playoffs. Yesterday's result was embarrassing but this happens like it did against Bath in 2014 and Chesham last season. DC has been loyal to this group of players that have given us so much.Progressive changes are need to be made as some are clearly not going to get us into the top six come may. The meltdown on here and at the Mem yesterday was sad to see as I thought after May 2014 those days were gone. I sometimes wonder if a section of our fanbase would rather live through the dark Times of old and would rather support a sh**e team as they get off on having a moan and booing.

Fascinated to see what the recruitment looks like and whether we'll retain the excellent team spirit which has been so instrumental in our success of the last few seasons. In fairness DC has already shown he has the ability to dismantle and rebuild a failing team and make them winners. What everyone seems to be missing is that he actually got us promoted too quickly. If we had stayed in L2 I think he would have moved on the same players he is moving on in January. The fact remains that we are still punching well above our weight. Someone on here posted the stat that we have already conceeded more goals this season than in either of our last 2 seasons total. I'm fairly sure none of us predicted that Brown, Leads and even Lockyer would struggle this much. Most of us felt they would be alright. Hartley looked a good signing. Lines should be ok at this level. Taylor has proved himself (again) and though not scoring enough Gaffers hasn't done bad and Sinclair hasn't let himself down. Let's show a bit of class and support the manager and the club rather than criticizing a guy for having too much success, too quickly.

All i'm saying is the fault is just not with the players but some blame has to be with the quality of some of our backroom boys. Its ok for the club to employ 12 backroom "medical" staff but if you cannot get the core coaching right then these problems will continue and yes i agree some of our fans only see the bad things within the club and i just cannot understand why they booed the team off yesterday

Think that one is well out of order ..... Yes he joined us as a kit man when I suspect we had no budget for another coach, fair play to him for doing what was needed at the time, and he was coaching pretty much from day one as well as performing his other duties. Lets not forget he was one of the best centre backs ever to wear the quarters, played at a decent level when he left us and has done a pretty good job to be part of a setup that won two promotions and had us in the playoffs earlier in the year.

Whilst agreeing that many changes of staff are needed, January is an awkward time to get the requisite players. Anybody any good is required by their current team, so will cost much more, anybody else we don't want anyway. It's the summer, when you get better value for money. That said, you could work your way through the team today, and be hard pressed to find someone worthy of their wage this week. Roos? Nuff said Brown- so so James Clarke so so Leadbitter- just not good enough. Won't take on full backs, and forgets about defending. Lockyer - long since time he was taken out of the firing line. Lines - just not good enough Etc etc etc. Until DC is willing to drop his untouchables, this will go on. Dont even start me on the rest of the team. DC has been here over two years and still can't pick his best 11. It's not a project DC, it's a bloody football match. Chelsea have just picked the same team 10 games running. And they can afford to chop and change every game. DC needs help, and I hope he gets it in January, because if he doesn't more and more people will start thinking the unthinkable. However, first and foremost he must help himself, by developing a settled team, give or take the odd one or two changes match by match. As for today, where was Boetang, who is big enough and strong enough to deal with the Barrow giants? This game proved, as if we didn't know already, our biggest weakness is that we have no height in the team, therefore we might as well give up on corners and free kicks into the box. We have a keeper that few have faith in. Therefore we are weakened at the outset. We must get a tall striker in, a tall strong centre back, and a tall strong goalkeeper. That will be the three musts in January, then in the summer, another three or four quality players to replace our conference players who have over achieved, but have now reached their limit. That said, I would still keep Sinclair, but replace the others. "Lines - just not good enough" Bullshit. Line is quality on his day and has been more consistent in his 2nd spell. I just feel he needs a kick up the ass sometimes and to get stuck in more but to say "he isn't good enough" is a bizarre comment. You say Gasincider is talking bullshit then go on to say what is totally wrong with Lines! 'quality on his day'! This should be virtually every Saturday at 3 pm not one in six.

Lines is good enough.... when he wants to be. They were all sh** yesterday but Lines disappointed me the most. He is the senior player in the team, the apparent play maker. yet he didn't demand the ball, didn't try to drag the team forward and waved his leg around in the air in an 'attempt' to tackle someone. If anything it was a game for Lines to boss and he did next to nothing

Linesy's problems are not that he isn't good enough though!!! His problem is he needs a kick on up the ass and get stuck in more at times. He's still quality on the ball though. He's been one of our best players this season bar the last few games where most of the team has been sh**e!

But... That's why he gets so much flack. He should be our best player week in, week out. Who said that? Me. It's my opinion that Lines is one of our best players when he plays well. I don't think he plays as well as he is able often enough. It may be teammates or it may be that he does need a kick up the ass. I'm not sure. Other opinions are available.

Very disappointed with him Hartley Roberts & Moore who have done little to justify being brought to the club.

It's an interesting task DC has ahead of him, and the same one Paul Trollope faced several years ago. Let's show a bit of class and support the manager and the club rather than criticizing a guy for having too much success, too quickly. That's all very true. Despite a disappointing recent run, it's important to remember the bigger picture and acknowledge the fantastic turnaround over the last couple of years. Whilst DC has rebuilt a team already, I suspect the task of doing so again is significantly harder in the League One environment. It's more than simply making a living at this level with good money floating around. Plenty of commentators on here have slated Trollope for getting rid of the likes of Disley, Elliott, Hinton etc and replacing them with the likes of Wright, Blizzard and Regan. Like I said, it'll be really interesting to see how DC manages this transaction period and whether he can maintain the team spirit.
