Hours when the centre could be used - only after 6 pm in school term and not to be used by " professional sportsmen" The way we've been playing lately it wont be used by professional sportsmen...

Anyone expecting news on the website about this today? I'm unsure if the permission is now officially granted, or if that is just the recommendation from the case officer.

Helen Ainsley is a senior planning officer and ,I think , the most senior. She was lead planner for the UWE application so I am not sure it would be a good idea ( in terms of career progression) for a junior planning officer to object to her recommendations

So if no council member asks for the plans to be referred for consideration within the next 5 days then the decision should be rubber stamped by a Planning Office this month?
That was surprisingly easier, perhaps Wael's team do know what they are doing after all! I guess the BP article yesterday was complete nonsense then.

Cant do any harm.

That was surprisingly easier, perhaps Wael's team do know what they are doing after all! Yes, but why isn't Wael, and other random members of the Rovers organisation, tweeting stuff about it several times a day? As a Gashead and internet user, I demand they make loads of half-arsed ambiguous tweets possibly alluding to this situation in order to fill up the long hours between losses matches.

Incorrect. Planning Officers are professional people who check and carry out the legal planning rules and make recommendation's to either accept or refuse a planning application. The Rovers application has been recommended for approval. If a minor application that's it it is approved. If a larger or major development it goes before The Planning Committee who are ELECTED Councillors to vote on it. They mostly but not always accept the Officers recommendation. I see nothing in the application and evidence submitted that is contentious so cannot foresee Councillors voting it down and if so an appeal would certainly win at the expense to the Council who are under severe money constraints already.
