After what Hamer had to say I can't see us getting another update for a few months, then we'll by close to hitting the summer holidays when the UWE seems to shut down until September, so if we don't hear anything positive by the end of June you do have to fear if we'll ever get any good news.

I personally have given up on it and believe it will not happen, we are going to be stuck in a run down ground for years and years, as I said my opinion

I'd be surprised if the board aren't looking at alternative sites if the UWE are holding out for a price we don't want to pay.
Someone said here that we aren't all that far away from making a deal, it takes time for UWE to make decisions because of their structure.

Are the UWE pictures in the bar in colour or black n white? I'm sure I read a piece from SH over the last few days about being 'patient' and not to keep on about it... Luckily we have a forum member who stalks Chairmen and keeps on about stuff. The drip feed of non info(assuming that's all it can be if SH puts out official sound bites) will certainly keep the mushrooms occupied.

SH clearly said there's no Plan B, if there was wouldn't it make sense to say there was to put some pressure on the UWE to do a deal. If somebody posted on here the moon was made of cheese would you believe them? Nobody as a clue if we're close or not the fact SH got stroppy about giving regular updates suggests we're not that close.

Not sure if this is referring to me but thanks for the comment.
Just to correct one thing, the word "stalks". I arrived at yesterdays match about 30 minutes before the kick off and took my seat with two other Gasheads half ways back on the halfway line. Just before the kick off, SH arrived and noticed us. He went out of his way to come up to us, perhaps he was stalking us, to advise me about the AGM as I had written to BRFC for clarification when this may take place.
Obviously, as he was there we asked questions about the training ground and Michael Cunnah. SH was happy to answer the questions and it did not seem that anything he said was confidential.
To be honest, I and a few others got the same reception from NH. He always came over to us and was happy to answer any questions and only once did NH say that he preferred that some info was not disclosed on Social Media at that time. Now I am no convert to Social Media, not having a Facebook account and not using Twitter, Instagram etc.
I've always found the Directors, both old and new have been happy to engage with Gasheads and the notion they do not is entirely incorrect, in my opinion.

Think he was being uneconomical with the Truth with that statement I guess there's always sell up and run but I wouldn't call that a Plan B, as far as I can ascertain nobody is aware of any other sites being seriously considered, even if they were buying the land would be more or less the same cost.

That's true re. the UWE land price. It was the club that moved the goalposts by wanting to purchase the land, so why should they expect "mate's rates"? If our owners are serious about building a new stadium and sticking around for the long term, then pay up and get the bloody thing built! A few seasons in the Championship and a good cup run or two and they'll soon get the £££ they're haggling over back! Perhaps I'm being "disingenuous" and there are more complex issues to address than the asking price, but I’m currently getting images of that task from The Apprentice where the candidates have to buy a load of random junk at the lowest possible price –trying desperately to haggle with the shopkeeper to get an extra quid off an old coat stand.

Think it's a bit more than that. IF rumours are accurate, the land was valued at £8m when it was to be leased and UWE have naming rights, but now we want to buy the land it's suddenly £12m. Assuming that this rumour is true (and I have no idea), of course there are lots of negotiations going on - why would we pay £4m more than the land was valued at, especially knowing UWE got the land for virtually nothing from Hewlett Packard.

And let’s not forget UWE were supposed to be ‘renting’ space in the stadium as well, and even up to quite late in the NH regime, T.Watola was trying to flog the empty space in one of the stands to UWE because… Well probably because they had no idea what to do with it. All that has to factor into what we are willing to pay, what UWE are getting out of the deal and/or what UWE were going to pay/off set against the deal
