Shame really.
I liked the bloke, but maybe to attacking for DC's liking......

No great loss IMO - flashes of brilliance, but overall disappointing (although not played enough?). Is he good enough to fill Linesy's boots at the moment in a 442 - probably not.
The nearest youngster I can compare him to is Marcus Stewart and he isn't in the same league as him at the same age! The other Chelsea lad is a decent defender.

Started well with some decent finishes but went missing a bit in games. Especially when up against it. That back heel against MK ***** was class though.

Really disappointed with this, makes you wonder when Mansell and Lawrence are selected before him vs Charlton whether DC actually rates him.

Not a great surprise really not enough game time he should have been in the side at Charlton might still be here now if he was! He will be straight back out on loan to the cobblers and facing us on Saturday along with Boateng sh** happens!!!

They're probably unhappy with his lack of game time recently.
Not really surprised and DC can't just play him to keep his parent club happy.
Some important goals and contributions from his short time here though.
Good luck to the lad!

So 3 of our 5 loans have now been recalled by their parent clubs...

no surprised when the lad is sat on the bench for 90 whilst Lawrence and Mansell are on the pitch.
The number of players we need to bring in this windows increases. 4 or 5, if we seriously want to build a good squad.

I'm a bit disappointed. Thought he looked really good at times. But I guess Chelsea don't want him just sitting on the bench and never playing. Good luck to him.

Will be interesting to see if he goes straight out on loan elsewhere, that would suggest to me they are not happy about him not playing and won’t bode well for future loans from Chelsea.

Hmm, 15 out of 25 league games for a kid who naturally shows inconsistency at this level playing 1st year of senior football.
Think it shows the 'no loan window' is naive, as its impossible to prepare yourself by having a big squad for months and months without upsetting players/clubs.

This will be a true test of DC ability in the transfer window to replace this quality with another "seasoned" player....
I won't hold my breath

I won't hold my breath You say quality but do you honestly think that if he was true quality that DC wouldn't be playing him every week or at least a lot more than he did, and as someone else said he's played 15 times, for a young kid with no previous experience what do you expect? a starting place every week? As for your dig at DC, 'I won't hold my breath' really? is that in any way necessary, has he not made any signings that you've been happy with? I honestly think some 'fans' would rather he fails just so they can say I told you so, he can't sign anyone he doesn't know/isn't from Salisbury. These extra loan players were obviously brought in because of the nonsense new loan rules, and if it means that we get less loans in now as these clubs won't let their players come here then so be it, never really been a big fan of loan players anyway, they're never gonna have the same feel and passion/connection with the fans as someone who is contracted to the club.

No great surprise there, what were Chelsea (or Crystal Palace or Swansea) getting out of the loan? Think DC has badly messed up his use of the loan market this season which will be doing him and us no favours.

Other clubs will be doing similar getting these players in to bolster there numbers as they can't do business as and when like in the past
but obviously to some it's all DC's fault

The number of players we need to bring in this windows increases. 4 or 5, if we seriously want to build a good squad. Can't say I agree with this. Colkett barely played anyway so its not as if he really needs replacing. We had too many midfielders a couple of weeks ago so we are probably just getting it down to the right level now. I don't think any more than four is really necessary. If Mansell isn't in DC's plans then he will need replacing. Otherwise, I don't think we'll sign a replacement for Colkett just to be sat on the bench or in the stands again, any player we sign should improve the first XI. So same situation as before really, just with one less unhappy squad member sat in the stands. Only thing that worries me is that there is no other creative midfielder to replace Lines should he get injured. UTG!
