I wonder if Roos, or any of our loane have been on our payroll? I don't know if this is the case, because I didn't ask Hamer on the train last Monday! However, I don't think we would have been in a position to take on the salaries of Championship and Premier League players. If that's the case I can understand the parent clubs recalling their players as there would be no advantage for them to pay for their players to sit on our bench or in the stand. Having said all that I hope w have a keeper, if not the Italian trialist lined up, otherwise we're left with Puddy and the youngster. I was really hoping we had moved on from the days of muddling through and making it up as we go along. Who could forget the farcical situation under Trollope when we didn't have a first team keeper prior to the start of a new season? Added to that, what is that chap Will Dubey supposed to be doing? As usual, every other club in our division is doing business and we have an Italian goalie on a weeks trial. I'm not saying I am dissatisfied with the squad, we seem to be doing very well; but DC has said that he wants to bring in 2 or 3 new faces, and that was before he lost all of the loan players (I know JCS is still technically ours, but he won't be available for another 6 weeks or so) I don't know if its me but i'm getting the impression that the purse strings are being pulled very tight at the moment, maybe cause we have to spend some big money soon on the stadium project ?

Or maybe its because we are Bristol Rovers and still have Andy Tillson as our record signing 25 years ago.

I'd reread the thread one poster is trying to restart a debate he was losing on the previous thread about loan deals. Quite happy to respond if he wants to start it again. What do I need to restart that I was losing, that players have been called back by other clubs, from loans not at BRFC to be loaned elsewhere.
But of course we are Rovers and we have done it wrong and it will cost us in the future, despite all the other examples where it is happening.
Come on Pete, get with it!!! You know you gotta criticise DC at every available opportunity! Shows how hard & macho you are.

He has gone back to Derby - personally not bothered if he was pushed or just recalled. Have no doubt whatsoever that DC will bring in a better keeper & in the meantime we have "clean sheet Will" so no worries.

Can a player on a season long loan go out to another club?
With regards to not playing a bloke and his club getting upset (ie Chelseas last week - pure speculation), they just recalled Nathan Ake from Bournmouth who has played most of the games.
Good luck to Kelle Roos, there is a good goalkeeper in there.

Is it possible for certain threads to be tagged with a symbol that means more meltdown rubbish? Would make lt easier for level headed posters to ignore and for teds to home in on the ones to take the rise out of us with.

Ake is not a fair comparison though as they stated they see him pushing in and around the first team in run up to end of season and a busy time

Wael seems to be pulling the purse strings for some reason.

Expect Derby see him helping out the catering department "Oh no...he's dropped another pie....but my god he can kick it far!!"

We still have MM as back up. only keeper at the club with 100% clean sheet record. Im F - ing amazed that DC doesnt play him more often with that record. DC out. Me? I'm not going in goal! ♿️

I'm not going to have a go at Roos, because he did his best, but I do hope this was 'agreed' behind the scenes, because on the simple face of it it seems like a Championship club throwing their toys it of the pram and dumping us in it because he's been on the bench for a few games. We are a decent Lge 1 team, none of these players from a higher level CLUB, but no higher level experience, should expect to play every week for a stable and successful team who are 8th in Lge 1. No other fit keepers at the club and with Puddy's injury record that's dodgy. With Puddy it's dodgy; full stop. Need a new keeper asap.

Are we allowed to play "drop back goalies" in League 1? Might solve this problem. Worked for me in the local park in the 1960s.

Is there any other signs Wael is 'pulling in the purse strings'?

Indeed, he (Will Dubey) was certainly at the MK Dons away match (3-3) sat with Wael. I was only a few seats away.
