I'm not going to have a go at Roos, because he did his best, but I do hope this was 'agreed' behind the scenes, because on the simple face of it it seems like a Championship club throwing their toys it of the pram and dumping us in it because he's been on the bench for a few games. We are a decent Lge 1 team, none of these players from a higher level CLUB, but no higher level experience, should expect to play every week for a stable and successful team who are 8th in Lge 1. No other fit keepers at the club and with Puddy's injury record that's dodgy. With Puddy it's dodgy; full stop. Need a new keeper asap. 12 points from 15 with him between the sticks. Don't see the problem.

Nothing at Rovers, I think he jumped ship with Atkins & Cunnah as he's not mentioned on the Rovers website anymore as an employee? Wael seems to be pulling the purse strings for some reason. I fully expect Wael to put the club up for sale if the UWE project fall through That's my concern but whose going to buy us if Wael want's his full "investment" back if the UWE is a no go, which the longer this saga goes on the more it seems likely you sense January is crunch month for Rovers future.

No game time for the Italian keeper in today's reserve match. Not sure if that's a good or bad sign in terms of whether he's impressed DC.

More of the "I told you so" posters if it goes tits up ir sink back quietly in the background for a couple of weeks if it doesn't. First it was all Henbury in the know about the UWE and here we are he knew nothing or very little of any consequence. I really don't see Wael as the sort who will just give up and let us down. Amazes me that anyone would listen to Henbury after all the false dawns.

It's not only Henbury though there's enough warning signs, Directors leaving, stalemate with the UWE, no signs of DC being given decent transfer funds, the Almondsbury contracts not exchanged, loan players being recalled, no new big shirt sponsorship deals. We've even got the new damn gates at the Mem! When was the last time we had some real positive news from Wael?

There's some real nonsense, unsubstantiated, rubbish, negativity on here.
Quite happy Roos has gone, he was only warming the bench and now DC will definitely have to sign someone better.
As for the rest of the loans they are largely no loss. Colket apart, who evidently wasn't currently able to justify a starting place, none of the others could keep our long term, committed, and ever improving players out of the team, let alone prove better than what we have.
Our own boys won't 5-0 on Saturday (with one of the failed loanees on the other team, showing why he is no loss).
Well done to DC for shipping them out, and I wish him all the best with getting his targets. Quit panicking, it's still early January and the teams performing exceptionally on the back of double promotions.

Post enough crap, and eventually something happens near enough to what they said, for them to give it the 'big one', whilst forgetting the 99% of rubbish that didn't come close to being the truth.

I guess the conversation either went DC(Derby County): Are you gonna play Roos any more? DC(Darrell Clarke): No, he's let me down, but I need him as cover for my third choice keeper. DC: f**k that noise. or DC: Are you gonna play Roos any more? DC: No, he's let me down, and I've got this Italian bloke lined up. DC: Fair enough, we'll call him back then, to give us time to farm him out to some other League 1 outfit (Wimbledon might be interested). What's the chance he will play a blinder against us if he goes to another L1 club that we are still to play? Think we trounced that superstition on Saturday!

Can a player on a season long loan go out to another club? With regards to not playing a bloke and his club getting upset (ie Chelseas last week - pure speculation), they just recalled Nathan Ake from Bournmouth who has played most of the games. Good luck to Kelle Roos, there is a good goalkeeper in there. Ake is not a fair comparison though as they stated they see him pushing in and around the first team in run up to end of season and a busy time True. Rumours at the Arsenal match last Tuesday that Ake was going back and it might be his last match for Bournemouth. Think it's a different context.

The problems generally start happening when he has shots to save. Really? Hasn't done too bad from where I see it. Fortunately the team have performed the last few home games so he's barely been called into action. Seems a nice guy who adds to the team spirit but nowhere near good enough for League One. He didn't meet the grade at Braintree in the Conference earlier this season so cannot be considered a long term answer.

But if it suits our back 4, they know him, he knows them, that's got to count for something. And I hate to labour the point, 12 points for 15 with him in goal.

It might be just me but it looks as if some posters get worried if we are not matching other teams in this league with signings. And then someone drops another bomb into the thread, Wael might sell the club, the UWE has gone pear-shaped, Will Dubey has gone. It's a bit like when you step into a lift and all starts fine and then someone ** and it becomes uncomfortable. Looking at some of the clubs in this league just like last season in League 2 when Cambridge, Notts Co and others signed so many players and people on here said we were doing not much. Simple imo, we didn't need to we had the basis of a good team. This season it's the same in this league. Port Vale, Bury, Shrewsbury all seemed to be buying loads of players in the Summer and again now. Again they needed to, they are not 8th in the table. I agree we need a goalie, perhaps a CH and a forward in case MT goes but DC says he has plans to do this. This time it won't be to strengthen the squad I hope it will be to go in the first team and make us even better. In DC i trust, no need to panic, no need to match what others are doing, no need to sign quantity just a few quality if we can get what we need. If we can't get what we need then let's not sign them, although clearly we do need a cover goalie at least (and perhaps he's already done that). No need to panic, no need to copy others , let's just do it our way. UTG!

The 12 points have been won with him barely called into action. History tells us that when the time comes he's called into action, he won't be good enough for this level.
