More of the "I told you so" posters if it goes tits up ir sink back quietly in the background for a couple of weeks if it doesn't. First it was all Henbury in the know about the UWE and here we are he knew nothing or very little of any consequence. I really don't see Wael as the sort who will just give up and let us down. Amazes me that anyone would listen to Henbury after all the false dawns. Good day to you sir as well That case i won't tell you what i know but i do tell people like oldgas what i do know and they agree with me

Yet another thread, this time about a loan goalkeeper, changes course and hits the rocks where according to several on here the UWE project has already floundered. Not only that, Henbury has now informed us our Captain is now about to jump ship and leave the rest of us to comtemplate the future of our beloved club. My own thoughts, the UWE is going to happen and as he stated, Captain Wael is in for the world cruise not just a trip around Lundy on the Balmoral!

i think its naive of people to think were not paying any salary on loan players,we might not be paying all the salary of every loan but part of loaning players out is to get them off the wage bill. also the "premier league" loans are younger players who wont actually be on premier league wages personally i believe rovers wanted boateng, colkett, roos and roberts out to create room in the budget to bring players in and reckon they would like a few more to move on if they could find a club to take them.

I wonder if Roos, or any of our loane have been on our payroll? I don't know if this is the case, because I didn't ask Hamer on the train last Monday! However, I don't think we would have been in a position to take on the salaries of Championship and Premier League players. If that's the case I can understand the parent clubs recalling their players as there would be no advantage for them to pay for their players to sit on our bench or in the stand. Having said all that I hope w have a keeper, if not the Italian trialist lined up, otherwise we're left with Puddy and the youngster. I was really hoping we had moved on from the days of muddling through and making it up as we go along. Who could forget the farcical situation under Trollope when we didn't have a first team keeper prior to the start of a new season? Added to that, what is that chap Will Dubey supposed to be doing? As usual, every other club in our division is doing business and we have an Italian goalie on a weeks trial. I'm not saying I am dissatisfied with the squad, we seem to be doing very well; but DC has said that he wants to bring in 2 or 3 new faces, and that was before he lost all of the loan players (I know JCS is still technically ours, but he won't be available for another 6 weeks or so) Nothing at Rovers, I think he jumped ship with Atkins & Cunnah as he's not mentioned on the Rovers website anymore as an employee? Wael seems to be pulling the purse strings for some reason. Will dubey is still with us.

Fortunately the team have performed the last few home games so he's barely been called into action. Seems a nice guy who adds to the team spirit but nowhere near good enough for League One. He didn't meet the grade at Braintree in the Conference earlier this season so cannot be considered a long term answer. But if it suits our back 4, they know him, he knows them, that's got to count for something. And I hate to labour the point, 12 points for 15 with him in goal. Why labour a point if it's wrong? Six games since Shrewsbury 2 of which we lost and 2 of which were against the most woeful sides (bury and Coventry) that I've seen in a very long time, not sure how good or bad Northampton actually were because I think we left them shell shocked after 20 minutes. But hey why would we ever expect a squad of players to be improved?

New permanent goalkeeper with Puddy as back up. He isn't a top 6 keeper at this level but he's certainly good enough to be back up given some of the kids we've had sit on the bench in the past.

also the "premier league" loans are younger players who wont actually be on premier league wages Was told that Colkett was on £15k a week. Didn't believe it at first, but it is Chelsea and he is supposed to be a starlet; and if the likes of Ozil can get £200k then it might be true.

Pretty sure he was, given that the Goalkeeping coach and Groundsman get a mention you'd hope our Performance Coach would anyway? Has anybody actually seen him at the club recently?

With Puddy it's dodgy; full stop. Need a new keeper asap. 12 points from 15 with him between the sticks. Don't see the problem. Yes, but if we keep collecting points at this rate, it will obviously be Puddy's fault we didn't win the title.

Really? Hasn't done too bad from where I see it. Fortunately the team have performed the last few home games so he's barely been called into action. Seems a nice guy who adds to the team spirit but nowhere near good enough for League One. He didn't meet the grade at Braintree in the Conference earlier this season so cannot be considered a long term answer. That's rubbish - he got injured at Braintree in the FA Cup and so came back to us as his loan was due to expire and we needed him fit due to Mildenhalls injury. I understand more than 50% of his Rovers appearances have resulted in clean sheets! He deserves more support & respect!

Yep whenever Puddy has had a decent run in the side we've done very well and conceded very few goals. Unfortunately because he was fouled against Dover, made a mistake in his first game in months at Shrewsbury and saved a goal at Wembley he's not good enough to many.
