Lucky we got in before he went to Chinese super league Chinese Burn !! Play him on the wing ala Mcgee and we'd have a Side Burn...

A day after Burn's night, we sign Burn. Is it a special day today as could be a clue to our next signing? So what Aussie are we signing being Australia day and all? Would Mark Schwarzer do?

Can't you at least show some sort of sign that you're happy with the signings, the progress we're aiming for? Until we've seen them play how can we judge a player, it's not like Hartley or Moore where you could find info about them and then express an opinion. I just hope DC feels they are good enough to start and they don't just join Partington on the bench on Saturday. You'd have to hope DC feels JB is a v. good prospect if he's signed him on a permanent deal but that could be anything from a 6 to 24 months contact. I'd just like a CM to join them. Â Â Â So,you can judge Hartley and Moore before seeing them play, but you cant judge youngsters until you see them play. How does that work?

Agree an experienced midfielder or young permanent CM to play alongside Lines would be nice.

Not denigsating anything the club has done or who they have signed but looking at the ages do you think we may be entering our first team for the under 23s league next season

No one is asking people to judge the new signings yet but rather be happy with the signings themselves as in young players with something to prove and their best years ahead of them. I just hope he performs well or it could be a case of Burn out. (sorry baggins)

If DC is going to go down that route then he needs to give them a chance not drop them after one bad game.

I don't think the others were ever dropped. They were just part of the rotation policy that we know DC loves to use. But obviously the amount of game time they were getting wasn't good enough for either them or their parent clubs. At least with permanent signings, we are not borrowing players with the feeder club telling us how often they need to play. UTG!

Well that was a shame we didn't sign him yesterday. Jonny Burns on Burns night! Welcome to the club Jonny and good luck from all the Gas family. He could have travelled down the night before ........................... on Burns night.
I'll get my coat

I would like to see 3 at the back again, maybe with different defenders it may work better and let's face it Chelsea and now Spurs are doing very well with it..

Youngsters from the top flight, hungry players from non-league etc. This is that different approach in action.
