Seems relevant to the thread what happens if Posh decide recall him as have other clubs that the gas have loaned from this season ? and is he worth signing again. Think Miller would be a good signing hopefully the gas can get him for free in the summer when he is out of contract I don't believe they can recall him, outside of the transfer window.

mark richards, ricky miller, byron harrison, aaron wilbraham, james collins, jon stead or james vaughan. Christ, what are you on? Mark Richards, Northampton fans would be happy to see him go, pace has gone and he's probably looking for a final contract. Haven't you learnt anything from 3 years ago? Byron Harrison, ok in the Conference but when in league 2 didn't set the world alight. I hope we've stopped buying players because they played well against us in one match! Aaron Wilbraham, would want too much I would imagine and we want players on the way up, not on the way down. Have you not realised the transfer policy of DC?Jon Stead, ditto. James Collins, no pace, not good enough. Ricky Miller, don't think he fits into DCs type of player. James Vaughan. Yes good player but never been south of Manchester and would want a lot. Mind you that could still happen later on. Mate, you appear to like winding people up and then hide behind saying you want us to get promotion. Don't we all but most posters have reasoned views that don't sound like a sh****** on the wind up. I really shouldn't bite but you do post some rubbish that is designed to upset people! UTG!
ok if true then what was the thinking behind signing Liam Lawrence?
Think some are being too hard on the OP. DC has already admitted trying to sign 2 strikers before deadline day, but now James is the answer as soon as he couldn't get anyone in?
Surely he should have said Taylor went but as James was already here he didn't need to attempt to sign anyone as they believe in James and is Taylors replacement?
If one of those 2 attempts came off James would have been getting splinters again. Cheap option even in a new Wael era.

LL signing was obviously cover, not sure what that's got to do with anything now. He got LJ in last summer thinking MT was going then but as he didn't LJ has not had the chance to show what he can do. DC tried to sign some others but decided they were not worth what it would have cost so he decided to stick with LJ. Sorry, not sure what your point is. UTG!

I bet Lawrence was on quite a tidy wage just for cover.
My main point is that if James was Taylors natural replacement why did DC try for 2 other strikers when he knew Taylor was off?
Don't think I can make it much clearer really...

Now it's obvious but not from your first one! He'd just lost an important player and he's got stick for not replacing. I can just imagine the stick he'd have got if he hadn't attempted to replace. He tried to, was unsuccessful for the reasons stated. What do you expect DC to say, LJ isn't very good but that's all we got? After the transfer deadline had closed DC did what any manager would do, support the staff he had and try and build up LJs confidence. I have said all along that we would use LJ as a straight replacement for MT. Hope that explains it! UTG!

Well, I named Yakubu coz he was actually signed, and he went to a team below us, so presumably we could have got him. In any case, it was a bit of a joke, coz I imagine he's exactly the sort of player that DC is never gonna bring here, especially as it looks like it was a short term, blow the mortgage money on a desperate hope type signing.

Yeah I meant more the other post, but even Yakubu has been in negotiations over wages at Cov for about the last week. 27 appearances in 4 years suggests its a bit of a punt for sure.

Anyone get the feeling bluebutterfly is trying to get in before Tbone does. Hate the player, then blindly criticise everything they do. Judge him after a run of games against a cross section of the division. If you read my op i did say that luke is a very honest player,if he proves himself to be a handful and gets a few goals,i will be straight on here to admit i was wrong and chuffed we sign him for 150k from peterbro.
