Great game today but very sad that we have lost a top goalscorer and replaced him with a non-goalscorer albeit a very honest player. Im surprised that suporters have bought into the "we couldnt do anything about losing taylor" but dont worry we have got luke james bullsh**. dc and wael/hamer have just got off the hook because they have obviously got most things right but i believe the city taylor thing was a done deal long ago and we should have had a new striker in before the deadline. i believe we had a small chance of promotion which we have thrown in the bin as we simply will not be good enough up front for the rest of the season. Great if i have to eat humble pie on this mind you

Great if i have to eat humble pie on this mind you I can't see James being the goal scorer we need to replace Taylor either to be honest but I wouldn't call it bullshit. Marcus Stewart and DC both seem to think he'll come good and that's good enough for me for now and I'm happy to see him over the next 15 games or whatever it is we have left before I decide whether he's good enough or not. Don't forget Taylor didn't score in his first 10 starts and James has started twice I believe so far. Also Taylor couldn't get in FG Rovers side before he came here.

Give the bloke a chance ...... He may or may not be the answer but he deserves a run in the team to show us what he can do.

Think we need Jermaine in the squad for tuesday as we have very little goal threat now.

Very little goal threat ? We have just played two of the better sides in this league without Taylor and done ok , we aren't going to put 3 or 4 past teams every week and to say Easter will pose more of a threat is slightly off in my opinion as his goals to games ratio is hardly anything to write home about. Marcus Stewart has asked for fans to be patient for the next couple of games in his interview this week, so why can't we be . We're in a great position on and off the field so let's see what happens

DC and Marcus have seen this lad in training every day since the start of the season and have confidence in his ability. He has rarely player as a striker in recent seasons and many appearances have been cameo one's from the bench. He needs a fair run of games before we should judge him so harshly. The lad's a team player and a trier and really hope it comes good for him.

James was horse sh** today. I would give him a rating similar to the rating I would give to the op for his sh**ty attitude towards the team and his all round negative posts towards everything Bristol Rovers.

It is a crying shame to see a post like this two games after Taylor left. As he/she quotes James' recent scoring stats for other clubs, it seems only fair to quote some back
Jason Roberts scored 1 goal in his first 17 games for us.
Rickie Lambert scored 1 goal in his first 22 games for us.
Matty Taylor scored 1 goal in his first 13 games for us.
Give the guy a chance!! Give him to the end of the season. Get behind him, big him up. He has shown he has had the scoring touch in the past and is in great hands at our club to regain it. What do we have to lose? At the end of the season, if DC feels he's not the answer we won't sign him and we'll bring someone else in. But maybe, just maybe, he is the answer. There is clearly ability and effort there. Far better to give him a good run of games now than to write him off and let Easter see out the season up front, in my opinion.

I agree with your mark for the OP but I'd give James a 6 out of 10 today he did more than Ellis who had another of his frustrating games where he seemed to be in a world of his own. It was a gutsy battling performance by our team against a very good side and James spearheaded that gutsy performance at the front whilst Harrison wondered around with his head up his arse in my opinion. James has started two games and he hasn't scored yet but like I said in another post he deserves time all players do.

So with 15 games left of the season the probability of James not even scoring is quite high then? It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't, just hope the defence is tight enough now to make up for the lack of goals

What happens if he does start scoring? Will Peterborough want him back or would they want a lot of money for him?

I remember people saying the same about Taylor , give the kid a chance for goodness sake Who were they then? One of them was you and Taylor turned out to score over a goal every other game for us so it just goes to show people can jump to conclusions early on and then be proven wrong. James has waited patiently for his chance all season and worked his socks off with a great attitude in training and really impressed our manager with his attitude and ability in that time. That's good enough for me.

Perhaps if Monty had actually beat his man once or twice or Leads put in one decent cross our strikers may have actually had a chance? I can't see how you can judge James on today's game as I doubt the Snake would have scored as losing Bodin was a massive blow, hopefully, he recovers for Tuesday. I still don't understand why DC won't play Harrison & Gaffers together, given they both play a different type of game.
