This whole thread about Miller is bizarre! It's almost as if he's the only forward out there to sign in the Summer. People seem a bit obsessed with him. What I think is of no consequenc but if DC thinks he's good then ok but I'm not sure he's DCs kind of player character-wise. This whole thread reminds me of the Summer 2013 when Magoo spent the whole of it chasing Constable from Oxford but never got him and didn't have a plan B. So we started the the season without a new striker. All our eggs were in one basket and we didn't get it. The same with John Ward in Summer 2013, spent all his time chasing JJOT, got him and then realised too late we had no strikers and didn't get one. That ended up well didn't it? This thread is reminding me of those times. Thankfully now DC is in charge of our transfer policy and and not some of us!! UTG! I gather DC may not rate him, even taking into account his record of goal scoring.

If that's the case then I'm not surprised. I'm sure DC will have his targets in attack and I hope it's a young lad on his wY up not someone looking for a contract on his way down. UTG!

Surely if he joins us he will be on his way up?
I first noticed Miller while watching FGR V Dover Play Offs last season; I liked the look of both Dovers strikers (Payne the other one) and Deverdics in midfield.
Miller especially was all action, chased everything, strong, good in the air, bit of a nasty streak and knew where the net was.
Obviously we don't know what Dover were asking in Jan, but obviously they felt is was worth sacrificing a fee to keep him until the summer.

Lol. In all seriousness, I rate the guy, I really believe he's going to start hitting the net for us soon. Also, he seems to have the DC type attitude - waits patiently for his turn to play, works his socks off when he's on the pitch.

Hope so! I'd love nothing more than for him to start banging them in but he hasn't been for Hartlepool (2nd spell), Bradford or Posh so you wonder how its suddenly going to happen.
He is still only 22 so plenty of time to rediscover his touch I saw in those Hartlepool YouTube video's, but I have my reservations.

Well, he's getting a fair crack of the whip now, if he doesn't start scoring by the end of the season I'll change my mind about him.

It'll be Luke James on a permanent. I'd be happy with this if Darrell rates him. I also like Christian Doidge at FGR. Darrell tried to sign him a few years back but he chose D&R instead.

He will clearly need someone (really) big alongside him which we don't have at the present time.

Whoever we bring in I hope we bring them in early because they want to be here. I would like to think we are busy planning ahead and have targets on paper already. especially if we have begun giving out contracts to player who we can build around.

Don't think that suggests he doesn't rate him.
