The last game of the season v Millwall could be vital. I've got my ticket safely tucked away.

If we can win our 5 home games we have a real chance.
5 wins at home would take us to 66points.
1 draw, 2 wins and and 2 loss's away would take us to 73 then we'd have a chance.
Massive challenge but if the mem becomes a fortress you never know...

In the post match interview DC mentioned targets. Specifically 53 points which would equal 07/08 post PT promotion and 63 points which is the highest L1 total for 17 seasons. Worries me a bit.

I would imagine he has a stretch target of 70+ points he maybe isn't declaring. Our challenge is to get to playoffs, we need a team to really screw up as well as do well ourselves. We can only do our bit but closing what is now a 9 point gap (8 to overtake Millwall but they have a game in hand) is a hell of a mountain to climb. I bet he is going to give it a try though! No less than we should all expect

No less than we should all expect There's usually one team at the top that falls away during the run in, although at the moment that looks like being Scunny and I think we're too far behind them to catch them. But doesn't mean we shouldn't give it the old college try. The attitude that our current squad has tells me they won't give it up until the maths say it's impossible.

Thing is, we can bang on about average points to get in the play-offs etc, but the truth is that there is only one team between us and the play-off places. That is Southend. We play them on Saturday.
If we win that game we will draw level on points with them and it will start to get very interesting, as we can set our sights on Millwall. We need to get within 2 points of them by the last game of the season, when we host them at the Mem. Suddenly that doesn't seem so unachievable.
If in doing that, we are surpassed by teams below us that have a game or 2 in hand, or Southend better our points tally from a standing start, then fair play to them. They will have deserved it. One thing that is crucial to all this though, is a win on Saturday. Without that, then it's probably all over for the season.

I got us finishing 6th on 74 points and but I'm an eternal optimist so we probably won't make it, all came down to the game against Millwall which I had us as winning, says it all really lol

I can't shake this gut feeling that we are going to create history and make it 3 in a row and replace city...
The storyline is there - Our relegation and rise back up,our takeover,DC, Pantsdown millions spent and his ego with this bristol sport BS,Taylor's move, the 16 year old "gap"...etc
I'm honestly putting £5 on a bristol double tomorrow by us swapping places.

2nd May, that's a great way of looking at it, to be within 2 points of Millwall before last game. Makes it appear possible. Still don't think we'll do it but I love the optimism and blimey, if we did the Mem would explode! UTG!

The game this weekend against Southend is huge. But I think the one last weekend was just as big. Oxford have got 3 games in hand and have been in great form. They'd have been my favourites to break the top 6 before Saturday, maybe even still now. We might look back at that win on Saturday as the biggest of our season. UTG!

It's all about momentum, we have been playing well but not killing off teams, win the next three and you never know, more interested in our success than the Franchises demise!
