Can't stand them but you are right Tilly. Dolman provided loads of cash for them but nothing like Lansdown. And he was patient, giving Dicks lots of time and many false starts before making div 1. I bet he's turning in his grave to see the mess Pantsdown presides over. What a shame! Bless. UTG! Dicks lol! I forgot about him. Very appropriate name for the lot of the wasters. Yes Dicks Out even better than John Snout.

I realize this will come across as taking the water but I admire Lansdown for sticking by LJ.
He should stand next to him in the dressing room and back his manager and tell any and all of his underperforming wasters that they will be gone if they don't sort themselves out. Its what Higgs should have done with Penny.
Too many players have total control over weak owners and managers in football.

Problem is I can see them staying up. Brentford and Preston away are two fixtures any team in that division would do well to get points from. Look at their remaining fixtures and it's littered with sides with absolutely naff all to play for. Qpr, Wolves, Birmingham, Barnsley all on their holidays I imaging already. 4 home matches too. Even if they lose to Blackburn I still think they'll be OK unfortunately. You pessimist...i'm sure Holloway and QPR will be up for it and I don't see the other three just rolling-over and hopefully there will be at least a few Barnsley players who will want to get one over Little Lee. OK they are not the favorites for the relegation spot but their own fans think they will have a good go at achieving relegation and that's the type of optimism I like.

There are such a stupid club, millions and millions frittered away by Dolman and Landsdown over the years and still the stupid fans believe what they are told. Last night people were ringing up suggesting they get Pardew or Redknapp these people are in cloud cuckoo land or is it cloud robin land? Easter Monday v Blackburn away it will be so funny to see them bombed out by a team in blue and white called Rovers. They never cease to amuse us. Fair play to the ones that travelled last night though. Great supporters, too good for the club. I hope Matty Failure enjoys his money as there isnt much else there to enjoy. I don't think that Harry Dolman deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as Lansdown. He's a bit before my time, but I always got the impression he was one of the old school "gentleman" type Chairman, and his investment eventually got them to the promised land, and funded what was at the time a state of the art stand. Lansdown comes across as a spiv with billions to splash around on his toy - regardless of the fact that he's taken it away from the true fans. I agree with Tilly here, the Dolman family were left massively out of pocket when the club went down the pan in 1982. Harry Dolman always came across as a nice chap, who was willing to put his hand in his pocket for his club. As for those that have followed

That's what SL needs to get across, though, as Hugo says. He needs to say something like, listen, this little manager next to me may be a cock, but he's our cock. It might be hard, but we need to shake things up. We need to get a grip, and if we go down, we need to go up again. If we need to keep going up and down for a long time, we have to believe that things will cum together, and there will be a happy ending. Otherwise they just look like a bunch of wankers.

Not one of those clubs are rolling over because the season is done. They will still want to win. Unless Lansdown buys them a yacht each :-)

I just read OTIB and the thick knuckle draggers still believe that old cliche of "we must not accept this like rovers fans. Rovers are rubbish because they put up with rubbish. We'd not allow this down here etc etc"
Bollocks.
The very much did "let this happen" when their entire outfit went down to d4 and went bust. The idea we stood by when we could have intervened is ludicrous.
It's very easy when you've had a series of rich backers bailing you out over and over to ascribe your teams relative success to yourselves, as fans....I am sure the BCFC mob were instrumental in attracting the businessmen and marketing the club to them.
What they are actually describing is a convenient excuse for being bad fans. Bad fans who expect everything today and spit and hurl bile and vitriol from the terrace. This serves no purpose. Do you think prospective managers, players and investors think "well, their fans seem to have their heads screwed on. We love the vile atmosphere and immediate need for constant success" or do they see the cauldron of discontent as something to be feared, something negative?
Ascribing your teams miracle backer to the fact that you are fickle fans is the stupidest thing I could ever think of. It's like winning the lottery and saying "well, we only tolerate winning tickets round here. You need to sort your newsagent out"
Utter bull and about the only argument you can make against a club having ridiculously loyal fans who always get behind their lads (in the main). If being negative and self destructive is key to supporting a team, then I'd rather be a rugby fan....and I really hate rugby.

JOHNSON IN! JOHNSON IN!
He's doing a fantastic job, hope he stays for a very long time and Pantsdown continues to back him.

I'm still quietly trying to control my delight at this latest meltdown
I'm gutted about how Huddersfield buckled but now what makes me laugh is that city thought one swallow made a summer and they really thought they were good as opposed to Huddersfield having a shat day at the office
They are still deluded enough to think they are a big club too good for the likes of league one
may 7 2017 could be almost as much fun as may 7 2016

I think that we now need to adopt a collective 'we don't care' approach. If they go down, great, but just let things take their course so to speak. The reason I say this is that in my experience, the more you want something to happen, the more chance of it not. Enjoy the defeats, root for their rivals but keep it to yourself and don't crow about it. Then, if it happens, go Dam mental!

I think being away from Bristol has softened the rivalry for Ollie these days, he seems to say nice things about the teds in the media.
You still have to believe he would want to help relegate them though!
