In great Bristol tradition, lets get some Magners on ice to present to the lucky soul who relegates the fuc*ers (opposition player not LJ)

I do truly feel LJ won't resign due to money. He's a young guy really & can't be certain of a long and highish level career in football - he could make a lot of money from City as long as he doesn't resign.

Yep but he's still a main sail though. That's what SL needs to get across, though, as Hugo says. He needs to say something like, listen, this little manager next to me may be a main sail, but he's our main sail. It might be hard, but we need to shake things up. We need to get a grip, and if we go down, we need to go up again. If we need to keep going up and down for a long time, we have to believe that things will cum together, and there will be a happy ending. Otherwise they just look like a bunch of wankers. That could really bring things to a head; it could really blow up in Lansdown's face. And then what? SL is there in the dressing room, moaning and groaning. His entire squad is red faced, huffing and puffing and let's face it none of them have exactly covered themselves in glory. But surely LJ should just take it like a man now? Say "I'm not going to take this lying down. I've just got to open myself up to new things while the team plough ahead". It'd be a real pain in the ass but he'd feel better for it afterwards.

Problem is I can see them staying up. Brentford and Preston away are two fixtures any team in that division would do well to get points from. Look at their remaining fixtures and it's littered with sides with absolutely naff all to play for. Qpr, Wolves, Birmingham, Barnsley all on their holidays I imaging already. 4 home matches too. Even if they lose to Blackburn I still think they'll be OK unfortunately.

Yes, it will cost Landsdown the best part of a million to say good-bye to his little emperor he rewarded so recently with a new contact. Giving away that sort of money will hurt even his Lordship of Guernsey.

Matty T loves Lickle Lee- -Lee pays him lots of money. Let me explain - it's just to train; I find that rather funny.
Lickle Lee bought Matty T , But now he's not worth tuppence. Three hundred thou seems too much now They've both got their come-uppance.
Stephen L. thinks "Bloody 'ell, Lee hasn't got a notion! But I've socked it to the Boys in Blue - - and stopped a third promotion".

There are such a stupid club, millions and millions frittered away by Dolman and Landsdown over the years and still the stupid fans believe what they are told. Last night people were ringing up suggesting they get Pardew or Redknapp these people are in cloud cuckoo land or is it cloud robin land? Easter Monday v Blackburn away it will be so funny to see them bombed out by a team in blue and white called Rovers. They never cease to amuse us. Fair play to the ones that travelled last night though. Great supporters, too good for the club. I hope Matty Failure enjoys his money as there isnt much else there to enjoy. I don't think that Harry Dolman deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as Lansdown. He's a bit before my time, but I always got the impression he was one of the old school "gentleman" type Chairman, and his investment eventually got them to the promised land, and funded what was at the time a state of the art stand. Lansdown comes across as a spiv with billions to splash around on his toy - regardless of the fact that he's taken it away from the true fans. Not sure. Dolman was a Rovers Director and left to join them (No not the Belfast band) Always suspicious of anyone switching allegiance. Seems to happen quite a lot at director/owner level. To be fair he resigned from Rovers board over the sale of Eastville to the Greyhound Co. about which he was absolutely right but to go over to the dark side...

As I understand it, HD wanted to put money in Rovers but was turned down, hence going to the dark side, a la DoG. I cannot remember that I ever heard he was a one time board member at Rovers, though.

Paul Buckle..... I know it's you. The BCFC82 jacket, comedy beard, lack of brylcream and silly high pitched voice fooled me for a while. But your post-match interviews give it away. Blaming individuals, delusional regarding scorelines, arrogant Cockney. Along with the public fallout with players and leaving your marquee signings on the bench. You'll be calling the 82ers Special lady gardens next. And you'd be right. Come on. Own up. I know it's you...

Pirateman, where did you get that info from? I cant find any connection between HD and us. Yes, Pirateman has said this before but I must say I never heard anyone else say Harry Dolman was a director at the Gas. I heard an interview with Harry Dolman on radio many years ago, he said he grew up supporting Rovers and in the late 1930s when he'd become a successful businessman he offered himself as a director and was prepared to put a sizeable investment into the club, the board were agreeable but mentioned that they had agreed to sell Eastville to the Greyhound Company, HD said thanks but no thanks and promptly took his interest to Ashton where their board had no such suicidal plans and welcomed him with open arms. HD pumped a fortune into City over many years, when they were relegated to the third division in 1960 they were £60,000 in debt and the league were asking question about the clubs viability wherupon Dolman wrote a £60grand cheque out to clear the debt. Bristol City owe Harry Dolman a great deal.

The site will not let me "quote" the picture above but it seems that the new bridge in Ashton was completed just in time for optimum use

I think he's got his Johnson stuck in a hole. And it's probably too late to pull him out now. Could get very messy.

Talk of LJ resigning is absolute madness!
Why should the bloke resign? It's not his fault that they were daft enough to hand out a 4 year contract to a bloke who had hardly achieved anything in the game.
I actually think City get a lot of things right off the pitch with their marketing etc but when it comes to contracts, they seem clueless. Taylor's probably getting about £10k a week to sit on the bench!

Johnson stays, City fans spend the entire summer in a frenzy of anger, and ( hopefully ) next season pans out the same as this one. Doesn`t sound like the worst scenario in the world to me.
