Glad Mildy and Manse offered roles No real surprises with rest Although there is still one game of the current season still to play, against Millwall on Sunday, manager Darrell Clarke is already planning for next season. He has made contract offers to the following players for next season; Ellis Harrison, Rory Gaffney, James Clarke, Ryan Broom and Alfie Kilgour. However the following players have not received an offer; Will Puddy, Bob Harris, Danny Greenslade, Cristian Montano, Dominic Thomas, Jermaine Easter, Jamie Lucas and Jake Gosling. Speaking at the training ground this morning, Darrell said; “It’s always difficult to make decisions such as this. “I have been doing it for a number of years now and it doesn’t get any easier. As far as the players who have not received an offer are concerned, I would like to say that they have been a credit to themselves and the club whilst they have been with us. “They have worked incredibly hard and have always given their best and I wish them all every success for the future.” All other players are under contract to the club, but there are two senior members of the squad who have been made coaching offers, Lee Mansell and Steve Mildenhall. Mansell has been offered the role Professional Development Phase Coach in our Academy and will work alongside Tom Parrinello with our U-18 squad. Mildenhall has been offered the role of goalkeeping coach and will work with the clubs first team goalkeepers and those in the U-21 squad. Jamie Lucus is a strange one, he has so much potential but just can't break into the First Team

Ellis & Gaffers again then. I think we should take a chance on this Miller guy, especially if he's out of contract? What's the worst that could happen?

Jamie Lucus is a strange one, he has so much potential but just can't break into the First Team If he was prolific on his loan spells, he'd definitely be offered one. I think if we were still in League 2 he would have been offered a deal.

There is no mention of the current loanees, specifically Luke James.

A few players coming in then. How many season loans can we get in these days?

Sorry to see that Montano was not offered a contract. Don't think he's done enough at the end of the day. 1 goal and 3 assists in 31 games isn't a good enough return for a winger.

There is no mention of the current loanees, specifically Luke James. Why should there be? This is our retain list and the loanees are not our players.

Quite enjoyed watching Monty but always subbed and never quite unlocked his potential.
Great re Mansell + Mildenhall.
Evolution not revolution 😀

The fact players have been offered a contract doesn't mean they will necessarily stay (see Parkes last year).

With Taylor, Easter and James probably leaving, I expect us to sign atleast 2 strikers. Taylor and Easter were probably 2 of our highest earners as well. Harrison and Gaffney are not bad as squad players.

The fact players have been offered a contract doesn't mean they will necessarily stay (see Parkes last year). None on that list will get equivalent or better offers elsewhere...

Sorry to see that Montano was not offered a contract. Gutted to be honest. I think Monty is really enjoyable to watch. Works hard going forward and tracking back so it's a difficult one to understand
