Paul Cook off to Wigan.
Surely with DC's record he would be on any Pompey shortlist.
Would he go?
Just about to be taken over by Disney.
Big League One budget.
Does Darrell still live down that way?

If approached then I think he might be tempted, has a property in Hampshire, his old mate from Salisbury on the coaching staff, and a chance to take them up to the Championship and even further. Have to wait and see I guess but Pompey would need to pay compensation and if it happened then I suspect we would look at Tisdale.

He always has really positive things to say about Pompey when we play them. I think he's committed to the project here at Rovers but every time a larger club has a vacancy it is always a concern that he might be off.

I would have thought Pompey's new owner is looking for straight promotion this season, if so, then why mess about with a manager of team who finished 10th, I can see him bringing in a high profile manager.

This could be one club that could tempt him I reckon. IF he's been given a decent playing budget, knows what's going on re UWE (positive news) and given a pay rise it will probably keep him here. IF Pompey are serious about getting him and he goes it will cost them a big compensation package. IF that should happen some serious questions will start being asked - we will know soon enough!

Summer going to be tedious. If it happens it happens. Like there is bit of a panic on here every time a job comes up.

Lives in Eastleigh I believe - less than half hour from Pompey. I feel this vacancy could be a big risk to him leaving IF he's offered the job.

If DC isn't backed and isn't assured of the new stadium he will be off, at least then it will reveal all about our owner's intentions.

If DC isn't backed and isn't assured of the new stadium he will be off, at least then it will reveal all about our owner's intentions. Next 2/3 months are massive for us. A small revolution must take place on the pitch with us signing players who can really compete in league 1 and not "over acheive". If the stadium doesn't go ahead then you might begin to think. DC can afford to give owners until Xmas to see the intentions. If we are doing well with the players he brings in then more clubs will come in for him.
