Not fussed that he's gone. Good money for a bloke that looks 2 stone over weight in pre-season, and can 'breakdown' at any moment once the season starts. Yes, he got us some important goals, but fingers crossed the replacement can do the same. That said, the style of football we seem to be trying to play this season, hopefully the goals will come from all over the park, and not just the old 'lump it up to JCH to see what he can do'. UTG.

I was in the meeting, and it was fine, just the right amount of questions, as any longer and people start to 'drift'. I didn't submit a question, just emailed the link telling them I'd like to watch, and got an email back with all the meeting details.
Having questions pre meeting worked as well, as these online meetings can easily descend in chaos very quickly with people trying to talk over others, and then everyones mic being picked up, and then stopping the person trying to answer or raise the question not being heard. This always happens with 10 people, so 50+ would be a 'mare, and there would always be at least one person who wants to stick there opinion in on every question!
For the first attempt I thought it was great, and look forward to there being subsequent ones in the future.

Not been a good 24hrs for Brian, first Katie Hopkins is banned from Twitter, and now he’s made to look like a massive fraud (as if we didn’t already know) on here. 😂

Gasincider, can I ask why you continue to spout your 'ITK' nonsense on social media platforms, yet when you're asked to back it up, and go on Gascast to let everyone know what you are allegedly privy to, you run for the hills, and chicken out? Bit like here really, someone asks you to back up your claims, but you just disappear for a week or two, and hope that everyone's forgotten by the time you come back. Let me think. Shall I name people that have no faith in the owner um................... No. Gascast? Ha, ha, what a twat. Changed your reply completely now. You know what Gascast is, you were talking out of your arse on Twitter, and then shat yourself when you got called out to back up your comments, after being invited to take part in the podcast, or are you now denying that happened???

And then the charities would be soooo lucky to receive the funds from auctioning off a kit you're saying no one likes. When did we as a society stop understanding that children can't have everything they want? From a commercial point of view it is as simple as "supply and demand". I doubt Rovers are deliberately holding stock back (to basically lose money) to increase demand for charity at the end of the season. It just seems like (again) not enough stock has been brought in to cover demand. I thought we had moved on from the shambles of the 2015 playoff final... OP - Have you tried e-mailing the Gorringe to ask when stock will be topped up, if at all? Too late for Christmas, I suspect - but you might be able to get one in the New Year? They were never going to sell them, there's not 'stock' to top up, there's no commercial decision to be made, how hard is it to understand.

With respect, if ever a thread summed up the 'any reason to moan' ethos that seems to blight an element of our fan base this is it! The club made it VERY clear when they released the yellow 3rd kit that it would not be made available to purchase to the masses, but rather it was to have a limited replica release with all profits going to charity.. In an age of certain clubs (naming no names of course..) having 3 new kits every single season and charging £50+ to purchase any one of them, I actually found it a really refreshing approach. Yes we need a 3rd kit, but that does not mean we have to use it as an excuse to bleed the fans for some extra cash, lets instead use the opportunity to benefit a charity both financially and in terms of publicity. I guess you don't have a young child to buy for? I think you and others are missing the OP's point. He wants to happily buy his nephew the away top that he saw at his first ever away game and the one that he may well often see on highlights. But he can't. He's not annoyed as such at the tops being auctioned for charity, nor is he complaining about the price, or being out of stock, the size not available, the shop being closed by the time he's finished work or even the price of fish, but about the FACT that he can't make a young Gashead happy by buying a normal, full priced top for him; something that usually happens millions of times a year all over the planet. I'm think we can all agree that although the dark blue away kit is sweet to look at it IS pretty impracticable and as soon as we saw it we all knew that it would not be used much as an actual football kit. It would therefore make sense to have the one that is worn most on sale so that normal, average, working fans can buy it for themselves or their loved ones. But, they said they weren't going to be selling them, right from the off. Not that difficult to understand is it?

but why didn't they do it yesterday. Rarrrrgh *Shakes fist angrily* Exactly. Wonder who they will send out today? Probably because yesterdays was about the match, regardless of what is going on behind the scenes. It's not really that difficult to understand.

Says 10th on BBC ?? Someone else says 17th on Facebook 🤷♂️ I guess the club cocked that up, because that's what they and Bristol Rovers Live (BP) posted I was actually thinking that the 17th is quite far away tbh FA website has us on the 17th, so don't think the club have cocked up!

We're back to where we are most comfortable, and where we've been for donkeys year, A mid-table 3rd tier side.
Yes, it won't always be pretty, but they'll also be some great matches I'm sure. With the current set up, we won't be going any further, but 'heard ripped out', is just utter boll*cks.

I don't mean by the club, I was thinking from one of the ciders I'm sure the prospective new owner will announce whatever they decide when they decide. 🤐 Yes they will. Hoping it's not going to be too long now, looking forward to be able to talk about it soon. *it's bloody easy this ITK stuff. Just post anything that makes it look like you know something, but with no actual substance, and if it comes trues, look at me, ITK!! If it doesn't, just move on and post some more crap. UTG

Can we just get on with the bloody football and forget all the tosh that seems to be" the thing to be seen to do in todays climate" You only have to look at this forum to see what bullshit this all is "we are all one big gas family" don't have to read far on here to get my point. The 'Gas Family' crap annoys the hell out of me! The main culprits are on the FB pages, spout that drivel every 5 mins. eg: Person A: Can anybody tell me what time the KO is on Saturday. Person B: 3pm Person A: Brilliant, thanks. Love the Gas family, proud to be part of it, knew you'd help out. Person C: Gas Family luv it UTG Person D: Love this place how everyone helps each other, love my Gas Family Person E: Love my Gas Family, here look at my towel on a sun lounger Person F: UTG, love the towel, and love the Gas Family

Very sad news and hopefully a day which results in drastic change in the governance of football in this country. One of the oldest clubs in the EFL with a rich history booted out but Premier League U21 clubs allowed to participate in EFL competition. Disgrace. On a side note, I'm wondering how the club will deal with season ticket holders who have paid for 23 games, not 22? Free admission to an FA Cup game if we're at home? I would imagine it'll be tough luck, not Rovers fault that clubs go bust, and I'm certainly not expecting, and won't be demanding any freebies to compensate for the Bury, and possible Bolton games not being played.

Something and nothing - I do not think so. Firstly, perhaps I should declare my real self. I am Roy Cowell. supporter since 1947, yes, I may not look 76 ( I hope I don't) but I am, a member of the President's Club since the 1960s and Chairman of the PC during the first few years at the Mem. In which I like to think I played a major part in securing the ownership for BRFC. I stand by my pseudonym because I do know a lot about what has happened to BRFC. I class myself as a friend and supporter of the Dunford family, Denis, Geoff, Sharon and Peter. All of whom, have my greatest respect. I am also a friend and supporter of both of the giants who locked horns, Edward Ware and John Harding who are the subject of this thread. For those who do not know Edward, has been a fantastic supporter, Director, and backer of BRFC since he first became a President's Club member when really just a boy (a long time ago). John Harding has been a major supporter and wise head and confident of Denis and Geoff and Vernon Stokes during the important years when the Football Club re-located from Eastville to Bath and back to Bristol over many years of BRFC history. Why should such giants of BRFC history be involved in such angst? well to me. it is obvious. It takes years to understand the heartbeat of a football Club, and Ed and John are passionate people at the sharp end of our Club, who are currently frustrated because the future of the Club is in the hands of those who do not know the history and maybe do not even care? When this Club becomes the property once again, of those who care for all the right reasons, we will 'have our Club back'I am confident that will be soon. Brilliant, I for one can't wait until we're back being run like a tin pot Social Club, with loads of old farts, all thinking they are more important than the next old fart, and the highlight of the season is some crappy 'do' where all the old farts can pat each other on the back, whilst slagging each other off behind their backs. And obviously not forgetting that said old farts, moaning about anyone under 50 who might suggest the club is being run like a tin pot social club. UTG

Some fair points there I admit...but I wish he would stick to telling us about performance and budget and keep his own personal allegiances to himself as the fortunes of two clubs hundreds of miles away are nowt to do with Bristol Rovers. He had a choice of saying “I don’t comment on other people’s players” or “buy players from Rangers? You must be joking!” and unfortunately he chose the latter and as expected it was certainly noticed and caused ripples north of the border.Caused ripples north of a border, on a fans forum. Does that make any difference at all? To be fair, it's probably best the club just gets shut down, nowt more serious that 'causing ripples on a fans forum north of the border', it's only a matter of time before the EFL throw us out of the league, so think it's best we jump, before we are pushed. It was all fun while it lasted. See you up at Mangos.
