Really sorry to see JCH go but fully understand the reasons. Thanks for your efforts in the quarters JCH. I just hope they have the same success with him as we have from the two attacking players we have signed from them in recent years!

Not surprised but it's a shame it's to a team in the same division. Watch them sell him for £6m at the end of the season.

If the fee is correct it's not the worst business. Better than losing him on a free and far better than the fees when we lost Taylor and Bodin
Not ideal and now we face the challenge to replace him but £1.25m gives us a chance IMO.

Good bit of business for the club and a bit in the kitty to find a pointman that suits the style of play demanded by the manager. Going to be an interesting season.

As with any player, no matter who they are or what their stats say, if they do not want to be here, the door is wide open. Some very good business secured at £1.25million. JCH scored some big goals for us, but you’ll recall he was out of the entire 2019 pre season AND missed three months of the start of last season, whilst we raced to the top 6. He is replaceable. Now to see who BG has lined up.

How is it I feel excited by this and not disappointed?

Damn, if we just held out for another £498.75 million we could have bagged Messi as a replacement #so-close

Disappointing we've lost him to another L1 club, particularly a club you hope we'd be competing with this season for a top 10 place. Although perhaps this is a sign Wael wants to bring spending under control and not run up a multi million debts again.
It'll be interesting to see if there's any truth in the Ryan Healey transfer rumours, if not, then who we do get in given BG seems to have built his front 3 around JCH.
Hopefully there's some spare left money to also sign a replacement for Nichols/Reilly.

That’s because the timing was right and we weren’t stiffed with the price and couldn’t match the wage increase he was offered. Good luck to JCH his arrival and immediate goals return kept us in L1 in his first season and helped us to a high point in the following campaign before his injuries contributed to the downturn The king is dead long live the new king...I hope we get one who has scored a league goal, our highest scorers are now wingers and midfielders whilst the four designated strikers have one full league appearance and two sub appearances between them!

I just wish we did like Peterborough are obviously doing here. Replacing their star player (Toney) before he has left.

I think we will buy two strikers instead of a marquee one

Massive job to find someone to replace his goals.

I’m ok with this, he did very well for us and didn’t hang around waiting for a bumper deal next season. For an injury prone striker with clear fitness issues, with a year left on his contract, getting 7 figures represents good business. Well it’s good business so long as we sign a proper proven centre forward and finally break that transfer fee record. Judging by the summer’s transfer dealings I would hope that’s already lined up. He deserves a good ovation when he comes back to the mem and good luck to him really.

Massive job to find someone to replace his goals. Well we found it easy to replace Nichols’ and Reilly’s goals.... we bought some extra training cones!

Toney not left yet, perhaps he’s coming to us? 😁 It’s a shame JCH has gone, but we move on let’s just hope we’ve already got one or 2 strikers lined up? We must have known he was leaving For some time now.

Fee is rubbish D Mac said in December he was worth 2m plus add ons, Geoff D RIP would have got 3m for him.
Like when Taylor went the replacement has to be decent and match ready, not someone who just wants to play for Bristol Reindeers 😂🦌🦌

You would thing BG and TW have a list already drawn up. The question is now, how much do they get to reinvest?
