Yeah T you are wrong, you've purposefully misconstrued Clarkes words so that they fit your narrative. Very boring indeed.

'Not really sure', only fair to judge him when his tenure is over imo. There's more things going against him being judged a success at this stage, I don't believe the UWE will ever be built, but that won't be the be all and end all of my opinion of the man. If he leaves us in league one, wins a bit of compo from sainsburys, improves the mem and writes off his own loans I'd be happy despite the roller coaster of the last five years.

Thought you may have been away and trying to teach buckrippers on how to write a worthwhile and interesting article Ouch, that's harsh! Sadly true tho, as long as they're on that ghastly EP website!!

I think your going well so far, like a lot of suggestions above like the old boys - could have a regular guest spot for other fans - and the day to day staff interviews could be interesting. Regarding controversy, well don't burn any bridges! Aswell as picking up on funny forum posts, maybe some funny things you've overheard at the mem. I think it would be good if you could try and keep them coming out at a regular thurs/fri interval.
Very well done lads, surprised this hasn't been done sooner, keep it up (the Gas)!

I've never seen such a rip off, it exceeds the bounds of humour. Like much of Higgs reign, farcical.

No SuperG, I know it cost less than that. Are you Barry in pseudonym? Also, plenty of businesses ship t-shirts halfway round the world and then print here.

Pretty bloody easy to make decent merchandise these days, if obscure rappers and metal bands can knock up a few t-shirts etc and sell them on for double the cost why can't we? Probably cos we need some younger people taking the bloody reins in these sorts of things... Didn't read thru everything, but as someone said on page one, where are the Sinclair shirts!? Some guy smiling with a beard screen printed in white on a black or blue t-shirt = top seller. Not flipping hard for some kid with a MacBook to knock up and send to the printers. I've not brought anything except tickets, beers and the odd replica shirt for years cos it's all f-king tat!! Bradshaw out.

Thankfully guys I don't spend my life checking this forum, and why should I bother, you all have your minds made up already. Sorry for presuming what you read Nobby, just figured you wheren't in the real world. They did release the figures today or yesta of the 2,500 people who died after being declared fit for work, just saying.
Anyway, my foray away from Gas Talk better end now, it's like an echo chamber around here.
Best Wishes and Up The Gas.

When I say 'disgusting' I mean something morally repugnant, when I say 'inhumane' I mean lacking in kindness and compassion.
Any story I'll tell is anecdotal and/or personal. I'm sure you could find out what it is I find disgusting and inhumane if you talked to some poor, disabled or young people - failing that someone experienced working in the education, medical or social sector. Failing that you could try reading or viewing a different media source.

Honestly, what David Cameron and his entourage are doing to the destitute, disabled and young people is disgusting and inhumane. These are the people who will vote for Jeremy Corbyn, along with those who empathise with the above and want to live in a more egalitarian society. There is a deep split in our society I'm afraid, ridicule Corbyn all you like but I'm convinced that if he is elected leader then we will be seeing another election sooner than 2020.

They got a mention in today's Fiver Football email: "And Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle is still likely to leave Selhurst Park, despite turning down a move to K Foundation impersonators Bristol City. “I don’t think Dwight had a flavour for going [there],” yakked Alan Pardew. “Sometimes that’s the player’s decision and we stand by that, so he remains our player until such time as another club put a bid in that we accept.”" www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/20/the-fiver-queens-celtic-malmo-pig-cup

My understanding was that all money comes from the Magic Money Tree? Or at least it is in the system we currently operate?
Let's hope it is the end of Labour as we know it, we could do with being presented a real alternative to the Conservatives narrative.

What was the Mandela quote? What woul make it relevant is what it was in response too, so since scores last night and RH quotes Mandela "a good head and good heart are always a formidable combination", something of that ilk I would say is relevant whereas "for to be free is not to cast off ones chains but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others" I can't think of any relevance for...

When I originally began reading and laughing at this thread (in a good way) last night I was wondering if it was still run by a franchise. Thanks to the silly spat above and some other input that's been cleared up. So I would just like to know if anyone has any idea who is in charge, pretty sure I could I could reinvigorate the situation. Despite jokes about the state of secondary education teaching young people how to work and take pride in catering is actually surprisingly easy. It would be good if the club would take a bit of pride to, it's not hard to find a good catering supplier for a start.
