I hope Aaron gets a good reception but you just know he is going to fall over and get a penalty for Bolton, whereas when exactly the same incident happened when he played for us, he would get a booking!

Is someone you know about to reach a landmark birthday- 16, 18, 50, 60, etc
Can't think what to get them?
How about a programme form the week they were born? Could be a nice little momento. See Jamie in the SC matchday shop and he should be able to get you a copy.
I was born a few days after Rovers beat Man Utd 2-1 in the league cup and Dick Sheppard saved a George Best penalty. Apart from 7 Jan 1956, or 2 May 1990, or the 7-0 v Scunthorpe, I doubt many would beat that.
Oh and yes, me and my Dad have been told numerous times that I was born after my Mum's Best night with Dick.

Tell your friends, family and supporters you chat to in the pub.
Should be a big prize winner today.
Remember only £1 a ticket, or 5 for a fiver.
All profits go to develop the next young players, like Jed or Kofi Shaw.
£700+ will help with that summer holiday fund.

Making no apologies for bumping.
I will have a cash collection at my programme selling point by the Community Trust office today.
And just to get in practice of not wearing blue and white, I will be wearing the Gas Girls pink shirt supporting St Peters Hospice.
Thanks and UTG

Well, it's not quite April Fool's Day yet but I have started a just giving page. www.justgiving.com/page/david-hewett-1710182357313?newPage=trueMods can you add hyperlink (My phone is old and I typed that manually) Of course I had to wear the 90/91 Champions shirt in the photo! So far City have not donated a shirt, but Tom has asked Pete to contact Scott Murray, so who knows. I have a fall back plan as a work colleague is going to lend me his from a few seasons ago. Oh Yatton, thanks for the pledge. I will of course wear your suggested shirt underneath, so the offending item doesn't touch my skin. Any donations will be gratefully recieved. I will also have a cash collection tin at my programme selling point by the Community Trust office at the top of the car park for the next few home games and hopefully the SC matchday shop will also have a collection tin. If you look at wrongtrousersday.org and follow the links you can see why I am doing it. Ps, does anyone have Lance's contact details?

With no game because of international call ups, maybe some fans might fancy a trip to the seaside and could take in Torquay v high fliers Hampton and Richmond.
Another financially struggling SW team, Taunton are home v another top team Chelmsford, plus they have a derby v WSM on Thursday.
Loads of game for Taunton to play now, due to loads of postponed games, including the home game v Torquay after beating them 3-0 away recently. Amazing result when you think of how far they were apart in the pyramid not long ago.
Alternatively, some may support DC and Cheltenham v JCH.
Not quite what the OP suggested, but the Gas fans can help in some way.

As part of the Clubhouse Bar Regulars player sponsorship syndicate, it would be good to see Luca play alongside Jed, as both players have been sponsored by us.
It gives hope to the next generation of youngsters as well.

At the Mem from 12-1 and from 5-7 in the Thatchers.
Going to be a big crowd today, so a good reason to get there early.
As a reminder, the programmes usually sell out by 2.15-2.30 so if you want to make sure you get your copy go to the bar first!
Many of Derby's fans will never have been to the Mem before so they may get a programme as a memento.
A big crowd should see a bigger 50/50. If you do get there early, don't forget to buy a ticket. Could set up you up for the gee gees at Cheltenham!

A good move to let the Gas Girls play at the Mem.
I know a few people have made that request/suggestion to the club several times before.
Let's hope it is advertised well and the women's team get a good turn out and that several of the men's team come to support.

Just tried to buy a scarf for a friend and was told that they’re out of stock as “there are bills that haven’t been paid”. Asked to buy one of the 3 on display behind the counter and was told that they’re not for sale. Was going to buy a shirt as well but can’t be bothered now. Strange way to run a retail outlet 😂 The SC have a variety of scarf designs if you are interested. If you go to the SC matchday shop, the volunteers will be happy to serve and have a chat about all things Rovers. Sweets, books, programmes and a whole host of other stock is also available.

As a group of fans who have fundraised via a 50/50 after games, we have sponsored young players since the conference season.
We would hold an end of season draw for a few of the syndicate to go to the sponsors meet the players event. There was a nice buffet and drinks and a chance to meet all the players before the Fun Day and recieve the signed sponsored shirt and have photos. Every year we were invited to make our choice of which young pro we would like to sponsor. So at that point everything was really good and well run.
Since Mr Bright took over, the planning and organisation went from bad to worse and the sponsorship money went up and up and the food and drink less and less.
I had to regularly chase him for details, there were lost payments and to cap it all after sponsoring two young players during the covid season and doing on line draws, we were told we couldn't have the promised places (4 guests per sponsored player) to meet the players at the next available season, as it was for current seasons sponsors only, so when we should have had 12 guests we could only have 4.
I think he was just out of his league. If it was something he was interested in, apparently he was very good, but if he lad little interest he displayed very little customer service, common sense, or organisation skills.
Hopefully from next season, the player sponsorship will be reviewed and be more like good old days.

At work I am the regional charity co-ordinator and we raise tens of thousands for charities such as Macmillan, Mind, Cash For Kids(giving Xmas presents for families in poverty), the homeless and animal shelters.
As a grandparent, my physical activity extends to giving my granddaughter a piggyback and playing horsey.
The young whippersnappers from other regional office do physical challenges such as Three Peaks, abseiling, ultra marathons and Tough Mudders, so I thought what mental challenge can I do.
I am sure many of you are aware of the Wallis and Gromit Wrong Trousers campaign to raise funds for Bristol Children's hospital.
Well I am going one further and pledging to wear a (apologies for the bad language) City shirt (yueck!) at work AND whilst selling programmes and 50/50s AND whilst watching the Cambridge game on 16 April.
I will post more details idc and hope you donate some spare monies and can show understanding (ie not shout Sheethead at me too much on the day).

As some of you may know, since I left the committee I have still been fundraising to help the development of our own young players.
Since the conference season, a group of supporters "The Clubhouse Bar Regulars" have held a post match 50/50 to raise monies to sponsor first year pros, or younger players. Since that time we have raised thousands for the club, even during covid.
If anyone would like to take part it costs just £1 (cash) to enter and you can take home a cash prize. Just give me a shout if you see me walking around in the bars or Ron Cocks, or Bemmy gas if you know them.

The SC are still looking for more volunteers to sell the programme or 50/50s in the South Stand, or Fanzone areas.
If you have an hour and a half to spare before kick off to help increase the football clubs revenue, and help with the development of the next Jed Ward, or Kofi Shaw, please see Jamie in the matchday shop
