The last time I contributed to an Accrington away thread was when I started the one we lost 6-1! Doh! I'm hoping Joey has changed our luck at Accrington and he'll break the hoodoo like he did at Charlton, today, so I'll go for another sneaky 2-1 win, but I'll settle for 1-1. UTG!!

Happy New Year, Gas! Good luck with the home matchday thread, Goose. Let's hope we don't go 1-0 DOWN early and end up with EGG in our faces!! I'm going for an unusual 3-0 win at home. Let's face it we never give ourselves that luxury and it's always 'squeaky bum' time for the last 15 minutes, so it's about time we changed it? Think JB will go with the 3 at the back again BT, Beefy and Gibson, but with Harry right and Sinclair left in the midfield with Coutts and Finlay, and Aaron behind Lofty and Coburn, However, I wouldn't rule out JM in place of Lofty to start. I'll go with the Oxford replay. Was at the Vale and Scunthorpe, but neither had the 'Victor Meldrew moment' and 'never say die' attitude (Because Scunthorpe had an air of inevitability about after the 5th went in) that the Oxford game had and, as many have said, that was the start for Aaron which, despite a few stutters, he's continued into this season! We might be lucky to hang on to him in January? Doh! Just realised that was actually 2021, so I was wrong, but I still belive it was the match where Joeys team/vision started to come together!

Oh dear! Got the result right, only wrong way round!! Always suspected this might happen. Over to someone else for an easier one in Exeter at home on Thursday!

Hi All, After my successful 'outing' at the Valley, and far to much food and alcohol on Christmas Day, I'm back, to hopefully continue mine (and the gas) unbeaten run in the league. All of this subject to a safety inspection, of course! Wycombe will be tough to beat and I expect Hanlan to want to put 'one over us', but I think we'll squeak another 2-1, although with Wycombes habit of 'turning over' the bigger sides, it's not going to be easy. Think the side will be similar to Charlton, maybe with John Marquis starting in place of Luke McCormick with Aaron playing behind him and Coburn. Probably both Sam Finley and Lofty will be on the bench ready to to start their returns. UTG

Well, I'll take that!! Not bad for a first effort this season? Even got the 'squeaky' bit right in the first half!! Great goals from JM. Does that mean I get to stay on for Wycombe on Boxing Day?? UTG!!

Haven't done a matchday thread for a long time. Nobody seems keen to do it, so I'll start my first one this season. I'm normally quite good at the away threads (we'll forget the 'tanking' at Accrington a couple of years ago!!), so I'm going for a 'squeaky' 2-1 and hoping that Evo gets back to his best today! UTG!

Not on iFollow. RamsTV not showing it as a 'one off' (£19.99 monthly subscription!). Edit: Just seen it is on iFollow in the 'USA'. Must have logged in from the UK? Oops!

I’m going to Spain and want to watch the Plymouth game on I follow on my I phone.. Will I follow automacally detect that I’m abroad ? Depends on who you are with. Last season I was with Vodafone in Spain and IFollow wouldn't let me in ('Cos it was telling them I was with Vodafone in the UK), so I went into my VPN and told Ifollow I was in Spain and connected via the VPN. Watched the 3-0 Harrogate win!!

And just to compound the problem!! Today Strathmore Road (A cut through between Gloucester Road and Downend Road) is being closed for a Street Party, so all of you who use it for parking and getting to/from Ashley Down Road before/after the match will be unlucky. Some of the residents have also moved their cars out into surrounding streets so they've reduced the parking available there!!

6th April 1957. Just before my 7th birthday. Rovers v Notts Forest 3-2. Bloody hell Bideford, That was my 1st game, but just before my 5th Birthday. I got a season ticket for my 5th Birthday and have been hooked ever since. This year celebrated 65 years of watching the Rovers/Pirates/Gas.

I had an email from Tom Gorringe and Pete Weymouth on Friday evening, confirming that all season ticket holders who had renewed would have their season cards renewed for FGR and all e-tickets sent out for FG would be cancelled. So I'm just rocking up with my season card and, if it doesn't work, I'll show the guys on the turnstiles the e-mail on my phone!! 🤣🤣

Is this a scam I might be old and dense but what is an e-ticket and only wallet I own is a black leather one to keep me wads of cash in. What if i have no iPhone, contact less cars and no printer? Is this a Ticket Diaster of ticket master origin. Has life suddenly become more complicated to watch a football match ? If you read David Bright's profile, when he joined us he was keen to expand the e-ticketing system, so I would say that it's a club led initiative. They probably made it more complicated to implement by stipulating that existing ST holders could still have cards, but new ST holders would be e-tickets only. Not necessarily a Ticket Master cock-up. At least the club has listened, and supporters now have a choice. Yes, but if you don't want the e-tickets and they send them to you, how do you change back to the season card??

Tried to get clarity today by visiting the club shop. I arrived at 15:30 and opened the door, only to be told the shop was closed, despite the fact I saw someone in the shop purchasing club merchandise (and leaving with it around 2 minutes after I left!). However, I said to the young lady who told me it was closed, that the opening hours were until 16:00 and I only wanted information about my season ticket and the e-ticket. She said that I would only need the e-ticket for the Forest Green game. I asked for some sort of confirmation, at which point one of the male staff (David, Pete?) came over told me that the information about the shop being closed was on the club website (It wasn't!!) and aggressively took over, saying that I won’t need the e-ticket and to just ignore the e-ticket e-mail and use my season card, ushering me out of the door and slamming it as I went through! Totally unnecessary!! Have finally given up and e-mailed TG. I have friends who are equally confused and have said they're just going to come with their season pass and not move at the turnstiles unless they get let in!! I can see all sorts of chaos on the 30th and queues out to Filton Avenue and beyond!!

Scratching my head as to why some ST Holders who have renewed get the email and others don’t. I renewed in the Club Shop. I’ve then had the e-tickets email so my ST Card won’t be working, at least for the opening couple of games. Of those who renewed online via Ticketmaster has anyone then had the e-ticket email? I’m wondering if renewing in the shop is somehow making Ticketmaster’s systems think we are new ST applicants rather than renewals? Just a possible theory will which will quickly be proved wrong no doubt! Yes! I renewed online and had the e-ticket e-mail. I had a 'conversation' this morning with the ticket office and was told that if you had an e-ticket your season card won't work and if you haven't had the e-mail, it will! I asked about a friend who has an e-mail (for registration purposes), but no smart phone, or printer and was told that if they get an e-ticket e-mail, they won't get in with their season card, only with their e-ticket. I asked what if they couldn't get it printed, or didn't have access to a smartphone and was told they would not get in! When I said that this was discriminating against those who are less technically savvy, they then said that they would have to "find some way of printing it out". I checked for another friend, who hadn't had an e-mail, gave them his name address and account number and was told that he could use his season card! I asked to speak to Clare, but was told that "she no longer has a phone line" after the phone lines were 'updated' yesterday. Eventually I was told either (and I'm not sure which way round it was) over 4000 season ticket holders would get e-tickets and 1000 could use their season cards, or a 1000 would get e-tickets and 4000 would be OK with their season cards. I guess the answer is, if you've had an e-ticket print it, or save it to your phone. If you haven't, bring your season card. I'm doing both!! I suggest, if you haven't had an e-mail, ring the Club and select option 1, give them your details then ask them to confirm if you can use your season card. Maybe if enough people do it they'll tell everyone the situation, instead of leaving them in the dark!

This is the first time I've been on here for a long time because of the 'toxic' nature of this forum. I still read it, but I don't think anything has changed, despite our amazing achievement over the past 4-5 months. How anyone can justify the pitch invasion after the 7th goal is beyond me (or anyone else with half a brain!). It COULD have resulted in an abandonment, a points deduction, and probably will result in a big fine for the club that these morons proclaim to support in their, mainly alcohol induced, minds. I was there and I was as ecstatic as the next person when that goal went in, but did not even contemplate going onto the pitch. The people who did this are the same people who come in late at away matches, stand in the aisles intimidating away stewards (and then complaining if they get treated badly!) and running down the aisles towards the pitch if we score, causing danger to other fans that just want to come and support. These are almost certainly the ones that tried to 'invade' the pitch at Rochdale after the 4th goal. Fortunately, Rochdale had enough stewards to limit this invasion. I had some 'brain dead' trying to tell me after the match that these were 'real fans' who support the team home and away. He didn't even accept that we could be punished badly if the match had been abandoned and that it would have been anything to do with them. I go home and away to support my team and would never do anything to put my team in danger of any punishment. My thought is, we don't need you if you are going to cause my team a problem. Rant over and on to League 1. UTG

There are enough threads but only one matchday thread about the game. I find it interesting to see other peoples views on the game. Views on JB are out there elsewhere, and I get bored trawling through these threads after a game. Absolutely! This is the Harrogate matchday thread, not the hate/love Barton thread. I want to hear what people think about the team and the performance, not more vitriol about the manager (and I'm in the out camp, by the way!)

I haven't posted much recently, because I'm so pi55ed off with Barton, the club and the whole forum. I was too badly affected that I couldn't even bring myself to post on Gregsgas's thread, so I'll say it here, R.I.P. mate, condolences to Clare & family! However, I've got a funny feeling about tomorrow (and it's not something I ate earlier!!) and think we're going to get at least a point, similar to Bradford, or maybe three? The team has looked better, without any end result (except Carlisle), and it could be tomorrow that Nicholson and Thomas start to show their real class and Pitman shows his 'real' experience. I even thought that Coutts was slightly better when he came on last week. As long as the defence doesn't give away any presents like last week? However, I'll probably be totally wrong and we'll get 'tonked' 6-1 like when I started the thread away at Accrington? UTG This one's for you Gregsy!! I said I had a good feeling about this one. Probably the best defensive and pressing performance all season. Taylor my MOM! The only worry is who we playing against Poxford up top next week. Probably worth keeping Thomas and Nicholson together?
