A manager once told me years ago , the two hardest things he had to contend with was 1. getting players to move down here and 2. Even harder was getting them to leave !
Property prices aside I would have thought a lot of players who are on two tear contract would tend to keep the family home and rent whilst here

could he hold a record of playing 26 games for the rovers and never watched live by a Rovers supporter ? Also did he ever play in a Rovers winning side ? i can't remember !

This looks like a decent signing in my eyes. The sort of wholehearted player the fans can really get behind. Tenacious, quick, works his socks off. He certainly has potential, can score with either foot and good in the air. The sort of player we should of signed last season. I think he will be a popular player with the fans, who will be pleasantly surprised, more like a Bristol rovers type player. I agree , add to that this boy has worked outside of football and knows what a privellege it is to be a pro footballer suggests he will work hard to stay there. As they say in the Boxing world "a Hungry fighter is a better fighter"

My interpretation of his comments are
1.He has read this forum ! 2.If Gillingham is a proper place to play then North Bristol is not 3.The old chestnut of blaming an injury which he didn't have when he first came and was still crap 4.He only came for the money 5.Absolutely no interest in playing for this club at all, continual contact with Evans offerrs some confirmation of his lack of interest. 6. Fair play he took our pants down

So someone noticed that JB liked it, wouldn’t say it’s unusual tbf the two guys are obviously friends so he would like his tweet about moving club. Then that guy says Barrett can f**k off whilst mentioning Barrett and Barrett noticed it and also gave it a like. Our fan base 🤦♂️ perhaps Barrett knows something about an impending move for him to like the post suggesting he FO's as well ?

The one thing I can’t contemplate about last seasons transfer activity was who signed off on it all and thought it was a good idea? If it was Wael, he’s shown his inexperience in English football by letting Garner assemble his unbalanced, lazy, naive and unmotivated squad of which Ehmer is a prime example. I heard the other day that he was involved in Daly’s departure from the club? Hope Wael takes a step back next season and leaves it to the people that actually know what they are doing. Here you go again! Another dig at Wael. Right this time let's hear your source! We all know that won't be forthcoming so why don't you just bugger off and give us all a rest from your constant bashing of the club's owner. Harrystoke, i w ould suggest its something called delegation. Wael employs a Director of Football . He is the one with the resposibility to sign off on players ability and balance or unbalance of a squad or whether they are lazy or not. I would also suggest that Naivety belongs to those who believe that Wael makes every single decision on a day to day basis

Essentially we were the “other guy”. Ehmer was having a contract tiff with Gillingham. Gillingham wouldn’t commit to him, so Ehmer found a new boyfriend - Bristol Rovers. Bristol Rovers, he didn’t feel much attraction for but Rovers treated him like a queen and hung on his every word, and plus it was a way of getting back at Gillingham. Regardless, his stint at Rovers was just a revenge type thing and his first love was Gillingham. As soon as Gillingham was available again, he was off like a shot and left Bristol Rovers a broken man, just being used as a temporary solution to the long term love interest and affair between Gillingham and Ehmer. Rovers are now significantly worse off and will spend the next year depressed and dejected. Gillingham, however, have behind closed doors actualllt now paid for an engagement ring and will bend the knee (in the non 2021 sense) in the coming weeks over a candlelight dinner. Eventually leading to marriage and 3 beautiful centre halves. Seen it too many times. Great analogy ! sums it up perfect

I’m genuinely convinced Barton is doing this to get back at Stendel who coincidentally is also interested at AS Nancy. Hey, if we get a good player out of it, which Thomas certainly is, I’m not complaining. He is ex cov too, so TW will be pleased. could be the other way around

As an Irishman now residing back home in the emerald isle I'm well used to anti-Irish sentiment in Britain: whether it's conscious or subconscious. I would suggest "pikey" has entered the vernacular to such an extent that people don't even realise it's offensive. I would suspect Finley was one of those people and had no idea as to the severity of such a comment, directed toward an Irish person he didn't know, and as such an 8 game ban and an educational course are perfect punishments to fit that particular crime. Why berate a young man who said something silly, paid for it with a ban and has educated himself and learned from it? I would suggest that A) that's a perfect role model and B) Why do we always look to find something negative in new signings? I obviously don't speak for all Irish people, but I don't think I know anyone who would be adverse to signing someone who learns from their errors. UTG I think this is a good well balanced post, I always find it difficult when we talk of role models in sport when quite often esp the stellar stars are barely in their 20's .I'm pretty sure i was'n t capable of being a role model for anyone at that age ! Anyone who has played football at any level should know a lot gets said during a game, to try and get into someone's head plus you get pinched, kicked and punched and you give it out, its part and parcel of the game and after you all end up in the players bar having a drink , 6 months later you might be team mates. I accept it might be considered offensive by some but truly believe that largely these things should be left in the 90 minutes. Genuine question, and I ask this with some irish blood in me , now you are back in the Emerald Isle how do you find the Anti-British sentiment there ?

Or is the exciting news the FM ? Why would JB make the stadium announcement, surely the only good news he can tell us is about player signings (or TW's leaving!)? He didn't say he was making an announcement

Any new stadium won't be financed wholly by the owner/s or the football club , it will be investors .....guaranteed
