Assuming Tom Gorringe hasn't settled on any set ideas on covid restriction at the mem I think it would be a good idea to seek fans views on the matter and could those who know how set up a poll on here seeking a response along the lines of
1. will you be attending in an unrestricted covid rules stadium? 2. will you attend if wearing mandatory masks? 3. will you attend if mandatory masks in dedicated set aside areas? 4. will you go into the bars with no social distancing? 5. will you go into outside covered bars if provided? 6. will you eat inside? 7. will you eat outside in covered areas if provided? This should proved comfort to both fans and the club if claried before attending

It's probably too late for this season but there are no doubt many elderley and / or vulnerable fans that are not comfortable returning to a packed stadium with no social distancing or mask wearing.
There are lots of people with conditions which mean they're still at risk and many more take immunosuppressant drugs which make the vaccine ineffective. Anyone who lives with somebody in that situation would also need to take extra care.
I think it would have been a good idea to keep a small section of the stadium where mask wearing and social distancing was still required. It might have encouraged some of those anxious, elderley and / or vulnerable fans to return to the stadium.

I’m on 8 weekly immunosuppressant infusions and was encouraged to get vaccinated as someone in the first priority categories and my understanding was that such treatments may make the vaccine less effective but certainly not totally ineffective. Anyway, regardless of the amount of protection it’s time to try and get our lives back and for me that means getting back in to sports stadiums - if I was concerned I wouldn’t go and could live like a hermit instead. I don’t expect the majority to lead restricted lives indefinitely to protect the minority.

I don’t expect the majority to lead restricted lives indefinitely to protect the minority. I believe they're ineffective to some and less effective to others. A family member who has had 2 jabs takes immunosuppressant drugs and recently did a test which suggested he has little or no protection.
There are clearly going to be people that are at higher risk than others and many more that are still anxious about returning to crowded stadiums.
Some of our fans have been shielding for nearly 18 months. They would no doubt love to return to the Mem and watch the team they've supported all their lives but would not feel comfortable returning to a packed stadium with no social distancing or mask wearing. They've suffered more than most and I personally think we should do what we can to make them feel they can safely return.
The Mem holds about 12,000. I was simply suggesting that there could be a small section of the stadium where mask wearing and social distancing was still required. It would make no difference to fans in other parts of the ground.

Where would this segregation stop?if you applied this to all aspects of life then would the likes of supermarkets have a mask hour?

Arguments for masks inside are one thing, but if you try and make people wear them outside, it will probably get the same respect it does at Wembley and Wimbledon. None
If you’re worried, an open air terrace would be a good option.

If by wearing a mask it allows more fans to go, why would people object? Because having a mask strapped to your face for two hours isn’t everyone’s idea of entertainment. Especially when outside there is a very likelihood it would achieve nothing.

I’d have to say Covid is the least of my worries when I consider using the toilets under the West Stand ten minutes before kick off. It’s a snorkel and flippers you need. I think I’ll probably be giving it a miss until we can drag our facilities into the 20th Century

The club did send out a survey in like November time in anticipation of fans returning, which never happened. Think it covered off questions like in the OP.

I think the clubs will follow guidelines put out by the EFL.

I'll be going back regardless of what rules may or may not apply.
if any feels that uncomfortable they can stand in the far corners of the ground where its a little less crowded and wear there mask, I really don't see the issue with that. its not like we'll sell out every week.

As much as I think it would be a good idea to have some sort of socially distanced area, I think it’ll be a very much ‘don’t like it, don’t come’ mentality from a lot of clubs.

Aren’t the rules, that wearing a mask is not mandatory, after 19th July? So, if you wish to wear one, carry on, if you don’t, you don’t have to. I say ta da 👋👋 😷
