Just seen a away fans table online we are ranked 35th in this country We have a tremendous away following; personally, enjoy going away more than watching football at the Mem. It is weird. Our away support is very good, but our home support is below par. Other than the DC era our home support since I’ve been supporting has been avg 7000ish if we’re lucky - usually below that!. Especially considered we’ve taken 40K to Cardiff, 44k to Wembley, 30K for a conference final at Wembley. I know they’re big days, and we’ve got a sh**e stadium but it’s our sh**e stadium.

First game I remember was 03/04, but first recollection of players is the 06/07 team so I have from there to go with.
We’ve had some great players since then, Lambert being the stand out, Hoskins who was a league above whilst injured, the snake, others who don’t stand out as much such as Disley, Lines, Browner etc but I can’t actually think of one, including Lambert who would grab the game by the scruff of the neck and change it.

Dc did a great job in getting us back to league 1 , but when we got there he brought in some awful players such as Burns and Mensah who were never league 1 standard, where are they now, they have found there level. He says about paying players high wages well he did with the likes of Bennett, these poor signings have led to our large debt. I mean they haven’t have they?

Can't remember if I heard it correctly, I'm sure someone would correct me if so - But a big thing from that is the mention of ALWAYS being under 60% of turnover on player wages etc. Did have a bottom 8 budget in the second season in League 1 which also happened to be his biggest budget. But some people on here like to claim they're in the know and DC wasted money and is part of the reason for our debt. That’s not what he said, I thought he said the second season was bottom 8 but the last season was the biggest budget he was given Fair, is 24 hours or so in my memory lol. Either way, still working on FFP rules and within all the laws and rules.

“Me supporters” Made me laugh when he was talking about the conference days "We had a poor start and we were at Braintree and one of meh supporters punched someone in the head"

Wael get a lot of stick. Geeza inherited debt and costs since then have added to it. He dealt with the end of UWE (not letting UWE rip us off), has been trying to get us a training ground, relaid the pitch multiple times at great cost and one time because one organisation f**ked it up, so he got it re-done.
He's hired professionals in their area to try and further us as a club. The media dept are doing a fab job, as is TG. He hired experienced heads to help us get a new stadium which ultimately failed but that wasn't his fault.
Continuing to pay ALL staff instead of furloughing them. - Even Liverpool tried to furlough their staff for christ sake.
IMO it's because people expected him to come in and for us to be the next Man City/etc. He's always said he'll do things the right way and I can't actually see where he has done bad? (Except for sacking DC, I'll never let that go but let's forget that for two minutes).
Keiran Maguire - The guy who looks at the football accounts etc has said ours are no different from the majority of League 1. That's football now.

Really just digging a bigger hole for themselves. Joke. Don't represent me or the majority and as representatives of the fans, that's bad. Or the majority? You can only speak for YOU. There seems to be quite an WAQ fan club on here but I don’t know many people in real life who would be in that fan club. Shut up you donut

DC operated under the FFP rules that all our managers have had to abide by. He wasn’t given a massive unsustainable budget that broke the football club. We sold players at good money and replaced them for a fraction of the price. DC made poor signings the same as every manager who has ran a football club, but the debts at Bristol Rovers are down the owners. They have got us into this position and god knows how they intend to get us out. We seem fairly broken to me and these accounts end virtually when DC was shown the door, the accounts don't only cover the playing budget but the whole club, as I said Wael has to take the ultimate blame but who was putting pressure on him to spend, spend, spend? Umm, the fans? DC spent a fraction of what he received. Also note the sold players didn't get anywhere near their actual value. Don't come back with a reply about players like Kyle on 4k/w. If the playing budget allows it then it's fine. Remember the budget is only set on a % of income. He didn't get special grants or anything, he spent money that was in the budget that he put there via player sales. It's not like paying players somehow increased our debt. We spent what we were allowed to spend.

Well said. Too many seem happy to lay blame at a manager who had us United and got a double promotion. Really poor firm now so many seem to blame him yet he provided a team that really did play for the shirt and we saw crowds go up, exponentially. He will go down as one of the best we have had & history will be kind to him with regards to his achievements, with us Just look at the last 2 years account we lost £7m+ whilst DC was our manager, as I said the buck stops with Wael, but where the hell did DC spend all that money when we were heading back to L2 when he was sacked just 3 months before the end of the accounting period the accounts relate to, which was also the period Hamer was still our Chairman. MS as now been tasked with a job I doubt any of us would want, cut our losses by at least 50& whilst retaining L1 status and also managing our £16M+ overall debts, perhaps he deserves our respect/support? Would that not include money wasted chasing a stadium and training ground?

Any idea how we owe the AQ family so much? They've only been with us three years, I struggle to see with income how we've racked up £16M debt to them. Where has that money gone? We don't spend loads as clear in the accounts, wages may be high but a proportion of that is covered by income, the rest?
