I think both Grimsby and Rovers have made an grave error here. There is no way we would take 1,000 to grimsby. Most that would go is bout 400, 500 max. There is no need to make this game all ticket for rovers fans. Grimsby is the first of the 3 longest away trips of the season. The next away game is Gateshead and after that Halifax. All these games will streach the finances of most fans! Recind the All Ticket rule, and make it pay on the day for Gasheads.

Seeing as we have our first home game since January 1st, five weeks ago, i hope the club is making sure that our beloved nice pitch is being protected from the freezing nights we are enduring. The last thing we want after waiting so long to see our team play at home, is to have the game posponed due to a frozen pitch! Are the covers on Mr. Holtby???

Saturdays game at Dartford is a MUST WIN game as Macclesfield and Grimsy are playing teams at the bottom of the league. We also hope that Halifax can do us a big favour by either beating or drawing with Barnet. The main games on Saturday are: Braintree v Macclesfield; Halifax v Barnet; Grimsby v Telford; Dartford v Bristol Rovers; What we have to remember is that we still got to play Macclesfield and Grimsby, Kidderminster away from home. So in reality, we have got to avoid defeat in the important games and hopefuly win all the others, otherwise it the dreaded play-offs and not automatic promotion!

Just been looking at our games coming up, and there no doubt that the biggest game we are facing in Sunday 28th Dec, home to 2nd place Macclesfield. Macclesfield are on a bit of a run so we will have to be on our guard. If we are going to get out of this league, this is the type of game we must win. The top of the league is now beginning to take shape and it looks as if all the major contenders for promotion are in place. The start of the promotion run in starts now. This is the time where DC has to do his job and tell his player we got to win every game. Draws are no good. Barnet cannot continue their run and will start losing some games. We have to be still in there to stand a chance of 1st time promotion or else it the dreaded play-offs!

Question to you knowledgeable people - how many miles extra to Welling by going round the M25 as opposed to going through London? i think by far the quicker way is going through london and crossing the river at Vauxall. Thoughts anyone?

Looking at the current clubs in the top 7, there is no team who will take more then 10,000. So if we did have to go to a play-off final, even with 15,000 we would have more Gasheads there then our opponents. A far figure would be around 15 - 20,000 gasheads.

And of course, dont forget the Gas invasion of Welling saturday week. We should take at least 600 - 800 if conditions are good and we avoid defect in the previous 2 games at home to Welling and away at Wrexham.

Now here an interesting thing. Just been reading the Bristol Post and Bristol Rugby's Andy Robinson complaining that Bristol have to go to Bedford on Boxing Day. Then the post gives the rugby fixtures of other clubs and when they play. Hey Presto....Bristol Rugby play Plymouth Albion at Ashton Gate on.............you guessed it....NEW YEARS DAY. The Gas and Bristol Rugby playing at home on the same day when both clubs should get a bigger then average crowd?? That this could be very interesting!

You cant blame the manager just because the defence didnt do their job. Yes, 2 goals conceded and 2 points dropped. But once the players leave the comfort of the dressing rooms it is up to them how they perform. Everything i've read about the game on saturday suggests it was a good game of football, but as we all know, football can be a funny old game. The thing is we scored 2 goals, appeared to be on top and then Chester scored their 1st. Like any other team, they went in search of a 2nd and got it. Maybe if DC had not made any substitutions, we might had got a 3rd, but as i didnt see the game, i dont know. So, lets just keep supporting the team and the manager. One day, everything might fall in place and someone will be on the end of a hiding from us. What we need to do now is focus 100% on Tuesdays game with Barnet and go out with the aditude of getting 3 points!

So much speculation on here about Jermaine Easter. Question is, is he really going to sign for us or not? I have a funny feeling that the answer could be no!
