My point was. I was told that my new CARD would be sent in the post. No mention of any crap digital Rubbish. If they don't give me a card. I will have my money back. I'm sick to the eye teeth with this nonsense. I refuse to be told to use this technology. I don't understand it. Have you checked your emails to see if that was actually stated? I've just checked mine and it states: "Name: Digital Only Season Card Amount: £.00" There's no mention of a card being sent later in the email acknowledging the purchase. Mine does too: Fees Name: Digital Only Season Card Amount: £.00 Name: Season Ticket Processing Fee Amount: £3.50

Meanwhile Rovers finish 88th of the 92 league clubs in a survey of ' best away day experience' , no surprise there. ! sh-t 54 th, Gillingham 92ond, top 5 in order, Shef Utd, Forest, Spurs, WBA , Bradford city. I surprised we are that low. Went to Cheltenham and had a lovely day out. 3 points and out singing the home fans. More teams have done that at the Mem than not this season.

Lots of posters saying they don't support Taylor and won't be renewing their season tickets. Some of them were the same ones giving out at those who refused to back Barton. Where are all the "get behind the manager" brigade when you want them? Very true Hugo , I was one of them if I recall. Sadly , I will be renewing my season ticket though as I’m a real glutton for punishment. Taylor doesn’t feel me with confidence and I’m almost certain he’ll be gone early doors next season, hope people bump this post after ten games unbeaten and we’re top of the league 🙏🙏🙏😉 It's due to his soft touch. Sometimes I think, he should just back himself and get right in there. I hope he spends the summer at massage school.

Where are all the "get behind the manager" brigade when you want them? I would like to see a survey of those that are turning their backs on Rovers due to us having one of the best seasons (position in the league ladder wise) in the last 23 years. I would like to see the split of Haters Vs Fan Boys to see if there is there correlation? 🤷♂️

I agree it's likey to be a lads holiday. Now, I know all football fans are saints and they don't cause any issues. Get too drunk and generally disturb the peace. Which is lucky really as that hotel has this: "Please note that we do not take Hen or Stag party in any of our property. Hotel Management reserves the right to refuse check-in on arrival or during the stay in case group identified as Hen or Stag or breaking hotel policy. Since it’s a family hotel, we appreciate our guest following the hotel policy at all times." Let's hope that MT keeps the players on a tight leash then! You think the team will be staying at that hotel? I thought Overnight hotels for awatly games were banned...?

Paul Davis the clubs correspondent for the Rotherham Advertiser summed it up well. "Rotherham didn't know it at the time but they were in trouble, deep trouble, right from last summer. Taylor wanted Championship-proven signings and made a host of them. The problem was, most of them were past 30 and had seen too much of the inside of treatment rooms. Sean Morrison, Lee Peltier, Grant Hall, Shane Ferguson, Tyler Blackett (he was 29 then, 30 now), Sam Clucas and Daniel Ayala were gambles and only Morrison, Peltier and Clucas have partially paid off All of them have had injury issues while Hall, Ferguson, Blackett and the now-departed Ayala have averaged eight appearances each. They have been joined on the sidelines, for varying degrees of time, by Jamie Lindsay, Andre Green, Cameron Humphreys, loanee Fred Onyedinma, Cohen Bramall and, lately, Peter Kioso and Jordan Hugill. Other recruits like Cafu, Dexter Lembikisa and Arvin Appiah - the latter two both on loan - have been either not good enough or not bothered enough or both while record-signing striker Sam Nombe hasn't justified Rotherham paying the first seven-figure fee in their history." It's pretty obvious MT failed at Rotherham or he wouldn't have been sacked in the first place? All we can do is hope he's learned his lessons with so many players being injury prone at Rotherham and alos Rovers this season. I believe MT was working at Rotherham without a DoF/HoR so it couldn't have been easy recruiting players when his knowledge of the Championship was fairly limited. Mahoney seemingly suddenly quitting this week does make you wonder what's going on recruitment wise, as there already been a fall out or as he been offered a far better job elsewhere. That is a pretty logical statement. So do you think JB failed at Rovers?

If you can find a 4 star all inclusive hotel for £50 per person per night in Albufeira at the end of July, please do send me the details. Thanks Do you really need all 4 star inclusive hotel for basically a "lads" holiday? Clearly the club got this wrong or they would have easily sold all the rooms available. Although most people would have booked their summer hols months ago anyway. I agree it's likey to be a lads holiday. Now, I know all football fans are saints and they don't cause any issues. It was so expensive. I would've been able to book something direct for about 40% of what they were asking. If you can find a 4 star all inclusive hotel for £50 per person per night in Albufeira at the end of July, please do send me the details. Thanks I'm not really an all exclusive kind of person. It is a waste of money for me. I would book something like THIS£107 per night. Leaving £142 for food and drinks each day. I reckon that would be an OK budget for eating and drinking inbthe bars.

I left my season ticket card at home for one game last season. I went to the ticket office and they needed my account number. Ironically, it was lucky I had my smartphone on me and I could log into my ticket account to get that number. I wouldn't have got into the game without my smartphone. Pretty certain a name and address would be sufficient plus some form of ID. I seem to live in a different world to others. The one thing I don't leave the house with is my phone. I don't carry a wallet with me. So, I didn't have any ID on me.

Facebook fact, not gaschat fact, apparently the club organised fan travel for the Portugal pre-season tour is on the verge of being cancelled. Tom Gorringe has communicated privately with select fans that Braga have requested the friendly to be played behind closed doors. One normal day at this football club is all I ask for! He said Braga MIGHT requests behind closed doors. The thing that may get cancelled is the travel pack they put out as they have only had one person book it. That’s not surprising when it’s cheaper to book direct. It was so expensive. I would've been able to book something direct for about 40% of what they were asking.

I don’t think people have issue with the premise, it’s how the club has gone about it. I dont think Michael O’Leary would be as cloak and daggered about this. Not sure about that, adding the cost after the event is totally crap, but plenty on here and on SM are saying that it causes issues if they forget their phone, leave it in the car, drop it down the toilet or just don't want to use it, and then say 'what am I supposed to do'? I left my season ticket card at home for one game last season. I went to the ticket office and they needed my account number. Ironically, it was lucky I had my smartphone on me and I could log into my ticket account to get that number. I wouldn't have got into the game without my smartphone.

Will I be able to claim my money back. Having bought my season in good faith my renewal should have been the same terms as last year. I have not got a smart phone. To pay £15 extra for a hard copy is unethical, Taken money from pensioners. You should lodge a complaint via the process defined in the Supporters Charter" Service Standards & Complaints Policy
Complaints Process: As a club, dealing with complaints in a prompt but thorough manner is important to us, therefore should you wish to make a complaint we will follow this process in hearing it.
1. Complaint made to member of Bristol Rovers Staff either in person, over the phone or via email. 2. Complaint will be acknowledged and if required an investigation will take place 3. Following the investigation a formal response will be issued with proposed actions if required. 4. We hope that at this stage the complaint would have been resolved, however should you still not be happy with the outcome your complaint can be heard directly by our CEO for their input and response.
Through any complaints processes we aim to learn from any feedback that has been given to avoid similar issues again in the future, whilst acting responsibly and reasonably to address all points raised" Contacts would be one or all of the below: Phone: 0117 909 66 48 Supporter Liaison

MT only mentioned Adam Mahoney as part of the recruitment team and now we learn he is leaving. Clearly, MT had no idea on Saturday which is concerning. Very worrying summer on the way. Club in crisis? Does he have any cuts around the nose or any black eyes?

Who said I was laughing. Donate £15 and I will make sure it buys a season card for someone in need. I have already identified the group that I would like to concentrate on first and interestingly, that group hasn't been mentioned yet. I want to fund season cards for our disabled supporters. So chuck some cash in. Stop moaning on a forum and put your money where your mouth is. Why should we have to pay (mostly - again) for the impact on others of a cold decision by the club? This doesn’t affect most on here as we’re mostly going to be tech friendly. Shouldn’t stop us looking out for those who it will adversely impact. I think we will be paying for it either way. What I think is happening here is that the cost to the club for cards is probably pretty high. Lets say they are £3 each and the club has 5000 season ticket holders (yes, I know that is optimistic). Then that is going to cost the club £15k each season. However, if they announce that they will no longer provide them and those that want them will need to pay £15, that sets a line in the sand. I reckon out of this, 200 to 500 will be issued free of charge to the ones who do have a decent reason for needing a card rather than an e-ticket. Even if the cost per card is £10 (as they will no longer have any volume discounts), the club will save £10k. If they don't and its business as usual, they will need to fund that £10k from somewhere. That somewhere will be us. So we will end up paying for it anyway. We have already got used to £5.50 a pint. That will be £6 next season, I'm sure. Then there is the added benefit that for a mate to borrow a season ticket, they will need access to your google wallet or you give them access to your season ticket all season. So, less likely to happen this way.

I don’t know why they don’t go the whole hog , and start charging disabled people or women more for a season ticket, why just pick on elderly and people who don’t own a mobile phone. Seems like another own goal from the club the latest in a long list From what I understand, they do charge a disabled person for a season ticket. However, the carer gets a free ticket (I believe).

I find that extremely condescending, have some empathy. Laughing at others expense is not a nice trait. we are all different, have different needs and go about life differently, as I said before people without Smart Phones for whatever reason (and there are many) maybe in a minority but should be catered for. We must see beyond our own perspective in life. Who said I was laughing. Donate £15 and I will make sure it buys a season card for someone in need. My 68 year old father, who doesn't own a smartphone, but has barely missed a home game in sixty years; specifically asked when renewing if he'd get a new card or if his current one would be reloaded. He was told everyone would be issued one with a new design (essentially to eliminate the possibility of someone who hasnt renewed turning up at 2.57pm with the 'old' card, claiming its a system error that they can't get and getting in for free because a queue is building up behind them and the turnstile operator not wanting to cause a scene). No mention of a cost involved. Of course the clubs needs to modernise, but when we barely got close to a sell out last season, we need to be as inclusive as possible and not create barriers to entry and it's just an all round sh**ty look doing it this late on. I get there's a cost to the club involved and I think a token £5 upon purchase would've been fine. I'm in my 30s and perfectly tech savvy, but usually print a paper copy when going to gigs/catching a flight so I don't have the anxiety of my phone battery randomly deciding to die, so I'd have happily paid this token fiver for a back-up; but it would stop the club losing money on those who trust their phones and would throw the card straight in a drawer never to be seen again. Does he have a phone at all?
