He meant that you edited your own post which meant his reply to you looked out of context although I cant remember if it was the one where you called him a treasonous Special lady garden or the one where you told him to go f*ck himself. Or the one you said he should hang. You'll have to ask him yourself about that, they all sort of roll in to one to me. IN touch with him through a Medium are you? How the hell do you know what he meant? Don’t you think he’s capable of speaking for himself, Mr Orwell? I know what he meant because he said what he meant and I read it and understood and you clearly didn't. No clairvoyance here.

Yep, he goes off like that and then tries to claim that *we* are disgusting. Classic oldgas. I recall he got called out on the Coughlan thread for his attacks on Coughlan that brought his nationality into it. Tells you all you need to know that does. I’m still waiting to find out which of your posts I have supposed to have edited. I find the suggestion rather sinister, a bit 1984 in fact. He meant that you edited your own post which meant his reply to you looked out of context although I cant remember if it was the one where you called him a treasonous Special lady garden or the one where you told him to go f*ck himself. Englands is still higher overall. They are having a bad time of it at the moment though. Their care homes got hit worse than even ours did. Both lots dropped the ball in the summer and implemented too little too late as the second week hit. So now more deaths and longer lockdown. Useless. Not sure I understand why Scotland doing so badly is a great reason to revel in some kind of political victory myself. People rightly said they handled the first wave better, and statistically they did. I dont think anybody has said the same for their handling this wave, so as a point scoring exercise I must admit I dont see the point myself. Its not a race to the morgue is it. Nobody is point scoring I think is important is looking at all parts of the UK in the round and before declaring victory and what a great job Sturgeon has done we need to see the end of the pandemic then analyse the data etc. Who is saying that sorry? I dont see anyone declaring victory in these threads and we all know the UK (Scotland included) has an abysmal record. Unless we somehow miraculously manage to manoeuvre ourselves in to a better position than anywhere else in the next 5 months I cant see that changing can you?

Regarding the headgear, is there nothing else you could find to man about. He has very little hair I needs to keep his head warm. The poster who made this remark obviously is either in the position of not visiting his barber or is just naturally thick from the neck upwards. username checks out

Perhaps if you Remainers hadn’t done your level best to overturn the leave vote this would have been progressed quicker and we wouldn’t be faced with having Obama mk2 in the White House interfering in our democracy. I don’t agree we’re desperate for a deal. May wasn’t desperate for a deal, she just wanted to keep us tied to Europe, that’s why it’s been so torturous trying to unpick the awful terms she tried to force through. A deal would be nice, but if the terms are too onerous then no deal will be fine. But who is saying that no deal will be a good thing economically? I can’t recall seeing any economist try and argue that no deal will do anything other than cause severe economic hardship, in the short term at least. We’ll be going to Biden and basically saying “look mate, you better give us a decent deal because if you don’t, I’m going to cut my arm off”. I recall that quote by one of the Brexit mob saying “we hold all the cards”. I don’t think anything could be further from the truth, in reality. 'other'arm off.

When I voted for a Dolphin I did so because we were told we would be a billion fish a week better off straight away. I didnt think it would all go to the NHS because Farage endorsed it. Now we are saying we will be poorer and may not even be able to judge it for decades?

If this was a boxing match his corner would have thrown in the towel ages ago . And when you consider I’ve been fighting a lone battle against 4 or 5 of you, because in the final analysis you’re the only ones on this whole forum who seem to give a flying that we’re leaving I reckon I’ve given a pretty good account and kept you all busy. No need to thank me. Let us know when you've finished blowing yourself.

You're having a giraffe ain't you . A stadium in Clifton, someone must be lion the locals couldn't bear it. The council would be batty to seal approval on that. Its almost the polar bear opposite of what we need. They must be living in a elephantasy land thinking the locals would allow the gerriffe-raff around that area. Otter.

You objected to the EU being in a position to dictate our laws, even though we had the veto so they didn't? Or am I making that up? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36247456I suggest you you read this then reconsider if you wish to ask this foolish question. If, like your Remoaning friends on here you choose not to read anything that goes against your argument, let me paraphrase: The BBC, the biggest champion of the EU in this country, is saying EU law has primacy, and there are whole rafts of legislation on which the UK Parliament has had no say. I wasn't sure which is why I asked if I was making it up. Loved the framing though hope it helped make you feel better about yourself and we can all enjoy a little less projection moving forwards. I'll have a look but I doubt there's anything there which is particularly awful. Especially given that you keep avoiding that particular question from others. Heres the full fact then "Not all EU decisions affecting the UK can be passed against its wishes. Some important issues can only be decided if every country voting agrees. These areas include foreign affairs, taxation, justice and the EU budget. If the UK is adamantly opposed to a law requiring unanimous approval, it's unlikely to make it as far as a vote." fullfact.org/europe/british-influence-eu-council-ministers/So, disingenuous horse sh** from you again pretty much.

I’ve read them . You haven’t answered the question, you never answer the question. So for the final time , which law or laws do YOU not agree with Oldgas ? Sigh- I never objected to any particular law in my original post. I objected to the fact that the EU were in a position to dictate our laws. Despite your and others’ attempts to pretend that isn’t the case, It now seems you have accepted that our laws are dictated from a small place in Belgium and another in France. Our Parliament had been reduced to nothing more than a regional assembly, and in time, to the status of a county council. Thank God 17.4 million people had the sense to save this country. Freedom Day is 33 days away, and counting. You objected to the EU being in a position to dictate our laws, even though we had the veto so they didn't? Or am I making that up?

enough antibodies by this stage to stop shedding. Apparently. I really struggle to see how thats possible. Mind you, I haven't seen any scientists debating it tbf - it just doesn't seem right? Me too. I suspect that actually we don't really know for sure and so they are not committing to further criteria based on that and the fact that the 10 day rule would probably be ok for the majority. Viral contagious periods are so variable though. Normally we would say 10 days from onset AND symptom free (sometimes even symptom free for 3 days) but you don't hear anyone talking about it much in the UK I agree. I think elsewhere that is the criteria though and they make the end of symptoms more of a focus. There were small scale studies done early in China showing that the virus was still detectable in a third of patients at day 20 even but these were small scale as I say. It doesn't necessarily mean they are contagious either. My advice, symptom free for 3 days and 10 days from the start. Just to be safe.

Hi Gassy just an enquiry to see how your Mum is. Hope she is recovering well and being looked after. Wishing her well for a full recovery. Thanks FG, really appreciate it. Up and down, I think she's slowly on the mend but naturally the entire household came down with it. Temperatures have gone for 3 of them, but my brother has a temp of around 39 & is having stomach issues, although he seems about 3 days behind everyone else. Fingers crossed we're slowly exiting it, although brother seems to be at the peak. I have to admit though, I'm surprised that my younger siblings got quite ill. I thought/hoped they'd have been asymptomatic. What I find interesting is that track & trace are now saying to my mum she can go back out again, despite feeling ill. Apparently if its 10 days after the test and your temperature has gone, then you're not spreading - even if you have a cough. Which I'm finding exceptionally difficult to believe? enough antibodies by this stage to stop shedding. Apparently.

Shame we can't live in some parallel world, I'd love to see the likes of Salmond and St Nicola explain why they will keep the £ but have full sovereignty, not forgetting the other things like Clyde ship building moving out. Ah well that's the conundrum they can't live with us but can't do without us. Still the oil will be their saviour oops!! Fish oil or snake?

It may well be the case and my post was for everyone. Happy to have a reasoned conversation with anyone Clive, but I think you will find it is Oldgas who liberally sprinkles every post he makes with attempted insults such as "Marxist". It's laughable. Didn't he tell you to f**k yourself just yesterday? How are you getting on with that by the way?

Best you read up a bit Oldgas What's new in any of the reading up? As far back as 2016 turncoat May was talking to India about doing a deal and visas were part of the discussion. It probably meant nothing in reality, because if that cow had got her surrender deal we would probably have been forbidden by the EU from striking our own deals with any other country. As I understand it we are still negotiating with India and of course there is now no interference from the EU. The subject of a visas are part of the discussion, however as a small, crowded island we are keen to manage this aspect and want a guarantee from India that the will accept back their people who have overstayed their visa time limit. I don't see a problem with any of that, or reaching an agreement on those terms, do you? Oh, and most of the references I found were in The Guardian, as you might expect, because they're always keen to publish anything they can to throw doubt on BREXIT. So I would advise having a tablespoon of salt handy. And Oldie, if you've managed to find time away from your Marxist-Capitalist trading with the world business to read this, you can go and * yourself. Perhaps Oldie could borrow some of your salt? He's played you at your own game and like a fiddle no less.

Who do you think looks after the over 80s and those with with underlying health issues ? Your idea to just shut them away indefinitely is incredibly cruel and not thought out . What about those in their 60-70s ? Are you ok with 1% of them dying or should we shut them away as well ? Crackpot Everyone is a 'crackpot', unless they agree with yattongas off the Rovers forum. Lol. I'm sure the 47,000+ doctors and scientists who signed The Great Barrington Declaration are all 'crackpots' too. Anyway, I'll try not to get too distracted by your name calling, as im sure a coward like you wouldn't dare call someone names to their face. I said before it would be their choice, if they didn't want to isolate they wouldn't have to. Where do you get 1% from? The latest fatality figure published by the WHO is 0.05% for under 70s. Nobody is happy with anyone dying, but many more people are expected to die from the lockdown than Covid-19 itself. How many people are projected to die if the hospitals are overwhelmed pirate? Can you give us a twitter link?

This is getting laughable now. So because somebody has asthma or diabetes we can dismiss their covid death can we? 50,000k dead but half had high blood pressure? What do you know about underlying conditions? Excess death rate 75000 now I think . That’s not so bad is it Pirate ? False positives mate
