MT will have the window and to be fair, so he should. I supported JB when we were relegated, so wouldn't be hypocritical and not do the same now.
Got to give MT a chance to get his own players in.
I am just hoping he comes back a bit more upbeat and optimistic, with a bit of personality.

Interesting you mentioned Evans, I never given it a thought that he looking elsewhere, but I did think it strange when he was subbed yesterday he walked straight off without the normal hug/pat on the back from the manager. Probably nothing more than social media BS that has become Gaschat fact. Why wouldn't he be looking elsewhere, one of our best players and likely has ambition to play in the Championship. We are wayyy off being there.

I don’t think MT is clueless - far from it. I think the problem we have is threefold The Scouse Group Tumour in the dressing room .. influential, whining and only worried about their next contract. Until that tumour is cut out or massively reduced the dressing room and training ground will continue to be toxic. Throw in the likes of ‘Don’t blame me Wilson’ ..and some truly crap loanees who won’t be here in a months time and it must seriously be tough to influence this group. The water taking permanently afflicted are also dragging everyone down … Simply have to be ruthless this summer and get rid. This summer my priority would be exiting … All the out of contracts, the injury prone wage stealers and all Scouse , Finley, Connolly, Rossiter and a few of the whisperers in the back room, including Evans if he truly does have his agent touting him around. Don't like the anti Scouse thing. I wouldn't be surprised that there are clubs interested in Evans anyway. Connolly is a young lad, I can imagine bit annoyed after being brought back from a Morecambe where he was playing every week. Finley understand wants to move back up north, so let him go. I like him, but if he down want to be here now then that's fine. The squad does need to be freshened up, hopefully MT and GF have the contacts to find the players we need to compete at the top of league 1.

It is always a little unfair to judge a manager when he is working with someone else’s players. It seems to me like we have a bunch of players who don’t care about the club because most of them won’t be here next season. They are picking up a wage and waiting for their agents to get them a new club for next season. That being said, a manager’s job is to motivate his players and organise a side that can get results. We have a team who look completely unorganised and disengaged. I think MT will get pre-season and a chance to shape the squad in a way he wants but I think he’s swimming upstream now. It seems that a lot of the fanbase don’t have faith in him and that’s a very difficult position to come back from. The problem with MT is his interviews. He spent few weeks always calling the players weak and generally said the wrong things. I doubt players took to being called weak very well. As the leader, you need to give a politician answer sometimes, protect the players and convince the fans it will be better next week.

I agree look what DC inherited at Cheltenham, what was it no points and no goals? And now he’s on the brink of keeping them up! Did he moan about a sh** squad? Some can manage and some can’t, although the players a bunch of cants for letting this happen. All pretty standard I’m afraid in the Rovers circle of life 😤. UTFG! All starts from the top...the club is run poorly, not very ambitious with any of its plans, they can say we are aiming for championship but the stadium plans will prove that they are not serious enough. Nothing about Bristol Rovers really blows me away and gets me really thinking we are going places. Unfortunately too many people accept us being so mediocre. It's no wonder the playing side of things never goes anywhere, I sit in the East stand with my old man and the club is supported mostly on a Saturday with people who just seem happy to be out of the house for 2 hours. It's also quiet and hardly very inspiring. Why don't we were want more as Bristol Rovers supporters, I genuinely think people have accepted we have historically always been average and shouldn't expect anything else.

A good manager gets a performance out of any squad I reckon. I accept these are not his players but today ( and I was at the game) was unacceptable. He said one of the reasons he took the job, was the strength of the squad. If he didn’t mean that, a dangerous comment. I hope he gets to the summer, signs the players he thinks will let us mount a play off challenge next season and delivers. Jury out. My post is in reaction to most games since Christmas and looking towards next season. Personally I would have Javani Brown in the side as at least he is a bit creative. I would have brought Cox back today but he is not the answer. I fear that the players as a group are not impressed with how they are being asked to play and i have no confidence whatsoever in Matt taylor being capable of putting together a good team and even less faith in the Owners. "I fear that the players as a group are not impressed with how they are being asked to play and i have no confidence whatsoever in Matt taylor being capable of putting together a good team and even less faith in the Owners." - pretty much how I feel about it to be honest.

You have to wonder what the team have been doing for past 2 weeks to churn out a dismal showing like that.
Fans weren't even acknowledged by MT at the end of the game which is also poor.
Still think we need a couple more points to 100% be safe, team has to be more motivated, they all look like they have a suitcase packed ready for the summer.

My god. Everyone on here acting like TG is the only person at the football club. Just using the South Stand argument, I very much doubt he told WAQ and AAS that we are building the stand, it was likely the other way around.
To me the "putting extension on the east stand" plan tells you a lot, the new owners are all about do things fast and cheap - that is what you all got with the South stand.
Unfortunately the South Stand took longer to build and without permission to build in first place. More questions for the owners than TG.
Again, a lot of you seem happy with bodge jobs, so expect the same of the East stand unless the club has learnt it's lesson.

Glad that you're still here Tom, now, can you get the burnt pasties and filthy toilets sorted, please? Haven't had a burnt pasty for a few months. Also more of sh**e ground issue are the toilets, let's hope that is sorted out when the stands are redeveloped.

Decent grounds, infrastructure and rich history the difference between us and them. Would we be so fortunate of bouncing back, not in our current state I'm afraid.

The same guys saying that it's the last game they will watch this season, not renewing their season are the same that accepts we might get a tarted up Mem with pillars everywhere.
The club needs strong leadership from the top. Not just on the pitch.
But if the fans are happy to accept mediocrity don't be surprised when it filters through to the playing side of things, again.
The owners, TG, MT and GF have a big few months. Need to start seeing and hearing all the right things from the club.

We've had some proper low points this season but this really is the pits. This is the first time in 40 years of watching the gas I think I've had enough? What an absolute shower of sh**e. You wait untill you see the new improved East stand, you will be back.

Was just about to say this is Connollys big chance but struggling here .. gave the ball away , fell awkwardly and now hurt badly. Thrown under if this is supposed to be Connolly big chance. Lincoln have been scoring goals for fun recently, hardly a great game for any defender to get minutes in. Feel for the lad, poor management.

We need more ultra type of supporters noises fuckers. To many cardboard cutout zombies at the mem. We all no that Yes, I agree. The East and West Stand you can hear every Dorris slurping on their Bovril. Don't condone any sort violent or overly provoking behaviour. But certainly people who like to sing and support the team.

People sitting or standing where they like annoying both home and away.
Regards to picking a seat in the South stand surely better to not sit right next to away fans if you are hoping to watch the game comfortably.

The way I see it..
If the North stand is rumoured already to be a 2 tier stand then for me the East surely needs to be the same.. both being built from pitch level upwards.
Surely we don't want to tart the Mem up and still have 4 sides that dont look alike at all.
