I did not intend to visit the forum again until we came out of our present 'slump', reason being i find it very sad how fans react to a downturn in fortune, a downturn i believe was inevitable. However after visiting club site and learning of BG and families misfortune, i wanted to express my support for him at this very difficult time and it is gratifying to read apologies from some who were not aware of the facts. No doubt Bens personal problems have affected his day to day demeanour and a reappraisal of his priorities and i sincerely hope, given that recent mental health issues have been very much in the news, we can all just take time to think that there may be extenuating reasons why people behave in a certain way at a certain time, be it owners, coaches ,managers, players, and fans and as Big Jock recently pointed out we don't know what gremlins are lurking behind closed doors and we don't bother trying to find out before giving our judgement, as i said well done to the vast majority on here who have expressed there support for BG and those who realised they may have been too hasty in there judgement, though sad to see there a re still a few individuals who see this as a big stunt or con by the club, really guys come on!! all the best Ben hope all ends well for you and your family and you come back to finish the thankless task you have started, and make Rovers a club we can be even prouder of ,up the Rovers !! If all the reasonable people leave we will only have the miserable gits left! To be fair you can be a miserable git and still be reasonable. Tosser would be a better word for some posters.

Oh, that old chestnut. The club like issuing bans. However, back to the subject, and though he's struggling in his new role, you have to separate the family illness issue from the job in hand. Everyone has to respect the difficulty of dealing with family illness, and you can only wish him all the best and a speedy recovery for whoever is ill. This forum isn't the club.

what a absolute load of rubbish just happened to get the call at 445 yet he said in the week in a interview he was not enjoying it be a man and quit now You are a prime example of exactly what is wrong with our fanbase currently. I'd rather we had crowds the size of Cheltenham's if it meant I didn't have to be in the same building as you on a Saturday.

Poor bloke. I hope he gets to return as I do think he could actually do well here but needed to come in either with a less hectic schedule or later in the season if it had fizzled out.

Delete this embarrassment of a thread and for those slagging the guy off hang your heads in f**king Shame you absolute tossers ! No It should be kept for that exact reason. Maybe some people will finally learn to wait for the facts before losing it. However I doubt it.

i) JCH will be sold if we are not challenging for promotion (fact) ii) Gavin reilly cannot go out on loan (fact) iii) Nicholls will be sold (fact) iv)The players above will be replaced with under 23 youth team players with little or no football league experience (fact) v) Abs ogogo is out for ? weeks/months, another youth team player will be bought in in his place(fact) vi) if the current manager stays in place and the above mentioned predictions become reality we will be relegated next season vii) the club has a buyer, as soon as the fm deal is completed. The sale amount is regardless of final league position therefore, further spending is not in the current owners interest.(fact) Fact - not a single one of your statements above are facts.

Never get the argument the board don't want to go up. If they didn't want to spend more they wouldn't have to. We would have a lot more money coming in. Plus of they are looking to sell, they would probably get more interest. Makes no sense at all. It just feels that way. You're probably right in all you say, but the total silence on, well, everything, from Wael and co just makes it feel like they've given up and want out, and we need to wave goodbye and start again with another lot. Who will also promise lots and deliver little. Standard Rovers then.

As do I. It's a forum ffs. People have different opinions. I'm sure plenty of people have been fed up with you over the years yet they respect you have a different opinion to theirs. If you want to just slag everything off then the FB appreciation page is the place. I'm not slagging everything off. I just get fed up of hearing excuses made. We were sh**, we have been sh** since BG has come in. We need to sort it out. If we were OK in patches or if we had utilised the squad to rest players, then maybe I would get your point. But it's just an excuse. I agree we've been terrible. Put it this way then. We've just achieved an amazing result at Ipswich, everyone is on a massive high, we look like we're genuinely on to something with this group. Then the manager drops the bombshell he's off to a lower league club. Then we play another 8 games in less than a month. The stuffing has been well and truly knocked out of the players and the games are coming so quickly it's very hard to stop the slide. Next Tuesday's game at Coventry couldn't be coming at a worse time. We will undoubtedly get a pasting. Garner couldn't have had much of a worse start but he also couldn't have been handed much tougher circumstances either imo.

Take a break from here then rather than throwing your toys out of the pram when someone has a different opinion. Because I have a fair point, you want me to f**k off? I think I will stay right here, thank you for your concern though. As do I. It's a forum ffs. People have different opinions. Well done. I've done plenty. I've also been exhausted after many working weeks. It's such a lazy excuse saying "they're professionals they should be able to handle it." You can be a professional in any line of work and be exhausted and I imagine travelling up and down the country and playing every 3 days isn't easy. Especially during winter. So why leave the likes of Mitchell Lawson, Reilly, Nichols (rested in the week), Kelly(not played much), THD and Davies have just returned from injury so maybe could have started? Why leave some of these on the bench if tiredness is the issue? Sorry but it's bullshit excuses, and I'm fed up of hearing them. Take a break from here then rather than throwing your toys out of the pram when someone has a different opinion.

Ask Midland he must get it by now. Just saying that’s what they are paid for I said before I used to do a six day week when I worked it’s no excuse Well done. I've done plenty. Give it a rest. If he'd bothered to apply like everyone else he may well be here. He thought he was bigger and better and that we should have gone begging to him. Your constant slagging off of everything Garner related is already old and he's only been here 3 weeks.

Boys against men again today.. When you look at the team there’s not many you can really want to keep to push forward Upson/leahy aren’t good enough Hardgreaves was awful today and not ready at all(probably a worst performance I’ve seen of gas player I’ve seen in years) Barrett looks good but over weight Rodman isn’t a right back Garner has been given a crap hand of cards and needs to let go of a lot of players realistically to be consistent. If he’s going to rebuild a good footballing team I’m happy to wait as the football at the mem has been shocking for a long time now hence the attendance being down even when we were 4th Yet all these players except Barrett got us to 4th. We're missing Agogo massively imo

Between 14th December when we beat Ipswich and today we've played 9 games. So basically a game every 3 days. God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes Useful debate.
