Having a ST will probably be the only way to guarantee seeing next season's two matches against City! Just a heads up... I probably won't go down the gate should that be a fixture next season.. so the required ST voucher will be available

Just a note for season ticket holders intending to renew, the club are not sending out in the post a renewal form as they have done in previous years. Caught me a bit by surprise as I normally renew when this arrives. Just did not want others to be caught out by this UTG Disgraceful... How on earth are we supposed to know when the season ends and our ST's need renewing... I'm gonna write to Marvin Rees, he's doing c0ck all at the moment, perhaps he can get something sorted!!

I can say with confidence, I most certainly am not the 'box it' fella... I do get the pleasure of uninterrupted player compliments/berating from a few nearby, and judging by their physical appearance, they have never played the game (or any game for that matter) which is born out by their ludicrous player/tactical comments throughout EVERY match. My absolute favourite being a comment directed toward Lee Brown along the lines of 'he's absolute rubbish, don't know why Clarke plays him every week... should of got rid in the summer...' approximately 30 seconds before he smashed in the winner last game of the season... QUALITY timing at it's best! One of the funniest bits of Banter we had behind the dugouts was last season when that god like figure known as Steve Yates was shouting out to the defense "WALK ON WALK ON !" many many times. The fans picked up on this and started to chant this over and over.... DC turned round, looked at us, laughing his knuts off Makes me laugh out loud when the crowd picks up on things like that... also the response after an opposition player has made some bizarre sound in frustration/anger. I happened to notice a couple of games ago Lumley doing his dance after a chorus from the Thatchers end... such a camp little jiggle i nearly choked on my drink!!

QUALITY timing at it's best! Gotta love 'em when they say things like that. Bang, hello! There's a chap sits sort of behind us, says nothing when we're all over them and playing well but chirps up when it's 0-0 half time and does nothing but critize. ahh.. that can't be me, I'm always off to the pasty queue at half time.. then busy getting myself outside of a pie/pasty and a Twix (I was gonna just say chocolate bar... but we all know it can only be a twix!!) for the first 10 mins of the second half... on general reflection I rarely openly criticize the team or players during the game... even when we've been REALLY bad. There's one guy behind me that can manage to pick fault in players when we've been three or four nil up and in total control... unbelievable

I SIT in the Dribuild STAND (ST).... and a damn fine view it is too. I have on occasion had the pleasure of standing on the Terrace there in front of the pasty hut, and the banter being thrown about was indeed exceptional... linesman got a right roasting! The football league must be on what Lee Johnson's on! If he manages to take them down next month he should be given Manager of the Season...

SPOT ON whoblue....which is why Browner went ballistic. But Lumley didn't react at all! Did Browner spot the player was already on a yellow before he pushed him, as it was hardly the worse challenge to warrant such a reaction. I think Browner reacts because of the speed of the left foot coming through, and he could see how close it was to a serious injury to Lumley's face. At the time I thought Browner was also gonna get a booking/ sending off for his reaction. Our players need to learn you can't put two hands on a player, I thought he was lucky.

He went in with two feet. I'm pretty sure that the rule states that if you do that you don't have to make contact because it's dangerous play anyway. He didn't touch lumley from where I was stood but he did jump in with two feet and I think that's why he was sent off and why brown was so angry. I thought the ref had a good game I realise you may have been writing this just from your vision at the match, but it's not really fair to let this slip by. it was no where near a 2 footed challange, as the video shows, and also a still on the Shrews local paper site. See pic 7. www.shropshirestar.com/sport/shrewsbury-town-fc/2017/04/01/bristol-rovers-2-shrewsbury-town-0-report/soccer-skybet-football-league-one-bristol-rovers-v-shrewsbur-town-5/BTW - I have no issue with a second yellow, but not 2 footed. BTW - if anyone wants to see the 'condition' of Cliff Brett Huxtable - see pic 3. Was he sent off for a two footed challenge? or did he get a second yellow for dangerous play? That picture (pic 7) doesn't tell the whole story though does it, as on the day (from the video.. yes I was there also) he swings his other foot into the challenge just after the point in which that picture is taken. I agree it's not a two footed challenge i.e. both feet off of the ground flying in with no control, he does mis control it, slide in missing the ball completely with his right foot, then while the ball is in the keepers hands he follows through with his left foot well over the ball (nowhere near in fact) at Lumleys head. Lumley had to pull his head out of the way pretty sharpish to avoid a face full of studs. All of this happened in approx. 4-5 secs of play, and the Ref had to decide was there a foul, was the ball in play (i.e. not in the keepers hands), what were the players intentions (from his point of view), was it dangerous play. Had he not followed through with his left foot he wouldn't (in my opinion) have been sent off. I think the Ref thought the follow through was intentionally dangerous (I also agree with that), and as his foot was so high above the ball he had no intention of kicking the ball. Dangerous play = yellow card. Had it been deemed a two footed challenge, it would probably have been a straight red. I would have been disappointed had it been one of our players, not the sending off so much, but a reckless challenge giving the Ref the opportunity to send him off. BTW I think we all agree he should have been sent off, just differences in opinion of WHY he was sent off.

We have only a reasonable squad that probably have performed above themselves to achieve the present position. To be chasing Play Offs next season we need the acquisition of about 8-12 quality players to not only be regular team members but also to keep players that are in the team on their toes. These acquisitions would only put the squad up to 24 players!! The trouble is that two of our best players at the moment and who have made the biggest difference (Sweeney and Lumley) are not ours. Personally I feel we need the following 1. THE NEW GROUND. 2. The following squad 1.Joe Lumley or New First Choice Goalkeeper 2.New Second choice keeper Release Puddy and Nildenhall 3.Leadbitter 4.Lockyer 5.Partington 6.Burn 7.Brown 8.New Centre back or Sweeney(very unlikely) 9.New Centre back to challenge 10.New Left back to challenge but not sure about Bob Harris as haven't seen enough of him. Release James Clarke and probably no chance of getting either Sweeney or Clarke Salter 11.New Winger 12.Montano 13.New Winger 14.Bodin Release Moore,Broom and Gosling Midfield 15.O Clarke 16.Lines 17.Sinclair 18.New CM 19.New CM Release Mansell Forwards 20.Gaffney 21.Harrison 22.New Forward 23.New Forward 24.New Forward Release Easter, James, Lucas, We will probably need a couple more loanees if the rules haven't changed as we had about 27 players at the start of this season. I would go along with this, although Ellis needs to shape up or be shipped out. I'm still in the camp of letting Ellis follow his dream elsewhere... Give Lucas a little run from the bench and see if he can chip in with a few goals.

Interestingly in DC's latest interview he said the three things he looks for in a player in order is 1. Desire to win 2 Work rate 3 Ability. Its a matter of opinion if Ellis has those in the right order for DC. yeah.. he has the (3) Ability to put the (2) Work rate in but, does he have the (1) Desire to (win)?

I agree. Nobby's right in that the club can't wait around for him forever. I think the ideal situation would be for him to sign an extension and then go out on loan with the feeder club paying his whole wage. This way, if he does reach his full potential, he's still contracted to us and the gambles cost us nothing, but i don't know how likely that is to happen. Only DC knows the answer to that and what with being given the green light by the owners to build a squad capable of much more, he's got maybe 5 games left to prove he's got it. Can he prove he's got it somewhere else, and say I told you so... We've won the last two games he's not been involved with... just sayin'

Hellis Arrison to score the penalty. (Now you all see why he took luncheon with Matthew T - to get advice) He was just letting Matty know his release clause is feck all, so he can relay it back to Pantsdown for a swoop in the summer (fingers crossed!). He'll do well with them in Lg one next season.
