I got bored this evening so I decided to make a video of the format I created in 2016 - 'Season reviews.'
Difference is, this time there's not many wins to feature, and instead prodiminantly has defeats, regardless - enjoy:
This is the games from August. I'll be catching up with September and October in the days to come; I'll link future videos on this thread.

With the reports coming out that Wael is indeed investing a lot of money, DC is becoming more and more blamed in the situation we are currently in.
I've seen so many different opinions but I want to see what the majority think, so here's the question:
Do we stick with DC through thick and thin, do we give him the January window to put it right, do we give him a couple of more games, do we sack him now or something different, like persist with blaming the owners?
In my opinion we give him a couple more games. If results become more positive and we get a couple of points I think we should give him 'till at least January to invest in the right players. I think it'd be unwise to sack him right now - who is available? Who would accept the role, and would it even be an improvement on DC - the man who single handedly saved this club?

DC has lost it.. ..with that line-up anyway. Weren't people saying this before the Coventry game where we went on to win 3-1? In DC we trust. Of course. UTG.

Nichols will score tonight. You heard it here first. Off to the local brothel for the evening is he? He probably wouldn’t even manage to score there! Probably right, there.

If Nichols doesn't score today, I'll be p*ssed off with this selection.
How can DC keep Matthews, Payne, & Janubiak away from the starting XI when they've been our best players (Bonham would be 3rd for me, but Janubiak on form)

Well that’s a long winded way of just saying “have faith” whilst being patronising and somewhat rude - yeah we will just plod on paying to watch crap and putting up with it because you have a crush on DC. 😜 Don't go then? I have no crush on DC, I'm just saying he saved our club. Let's be honest, we were very close to liquidation in 2014!

I'm inclined to agree but we look so unlikely to score these days. At least we had players who looked like they could make a difference in previous seasons. I guess though, on the flip side of the coin we now look a lot better defensively. I know people like to hammer our back line but we're now only losing by the odd goal. Last season we were conceding for fun. If only we had Billy and Ellis back we'd be flying. Defensively, we're still awful. Thankfully, we now have a good goalkeeper in Bonham, who is our best goalkeeper since Joe Lumley. I think our confidence will come back eventually - it's only a matter of time. We have players who can score goals, simple as (Nichols not included ) - and it's only a matter of time before we do score and we score a load.

Expected this thread to be one talking about the rise-and-fall of Rovers in League One? Well you're wrong.
It's one to say, shut up. To those who are calling for DC's head, calm down and be patient.
The date is September, 16.
At this stage in 2015/16 (League Two), we had lost 4 of our 7 opening games. This season we have lost 4 of our 7 opening games. At this stage in 2016/17 (League One), we had won 1 of our 6 opening games. This season we have won 1 of our 7 opening games. At this stage in 2017/18 (League One), we had lost 5 of our opening 8 games. This season we have lost 4 of our opening 7 games.
At this stage in 2015/16 (League Two), we were in 15th place. We finished 3rd, and gained promotion. At this stage in 2016/17 (League One), we were in 19th place. We finished 10th. At this stage in 2017/18 (League One), we were in 15th place. We finished 13th.
In all three seasons stated above, we always started to perform during November and rose up the table. November is less than two months away. Stay patient with DC.
Darrell saved our club during a time where our owner did not significantly back him financially. He deserves our respect and patience. Instead of calling for him to be sacked, look at the bigger picture, and question the owners instead. Question their financial backing of him. Sure, his recruitment this summer was very poor, however, he is working within budget, whilst the board lose the club's best players. DC is not to blame.
He has another four years left on his contract. The club would have to pay him a substantial compensation fee, therefore it is unwise to sack him with the club already losing money each year. I've seen some brilliant threads on this forum, one especially titled 'DC is a victim of his own success,' and that is spot on. Unfortunately, those who are calling for him to be sacked are teenagers who think they're entitled to make their opinion heard when the only stadium of our's that they've seen is the Mem. Sit down.
