By the way and another argument, I really don’t like our badge and to be honest never have, but there you go. It doesn’t really matter.

Misinformation? Just preference. I remember us playing in all blue with white trim and blue and white stripes was once our home kit so I don’t get the “misinformation” but it’s really it’s only a bit of fun. If we played in blue and white zigzags I would still be a Rovers fan.

I didn’t come here on a free transfer from Walsall to worry about the shorts!!! But it’s blue ones for me, white shorts make the kit far to white, we play in BLUE and white not white and blue. Hence “We always follow the boys in blue!”.

Never forget his goals in the Cup at Trashton - one of my favourite memories. 1-0 down, 3-1 up, we knocked city out the cup! Played out of position on the right wing at Stoke, probably ruined any advancement of his career. Will always be a massive favourite of mine.

Ricky’s rocket against the dark side who were going to beat us 6-0 at Trashton and 4-0 at ours. Seeing the darksides keeper on his knees seemingly thanking The gods that the ball hadn’t hit him being the funniest thing I had seen in years!

For those who don't know the News Now site I've posted the link. It's pretty good with links to Rovers local news and from around the world.
Cheers all UTG!

I went to Knowle Park School between 1964-68. Were you there then? Young 'un I left in 1963, as I graduated to that "doyen" of educational establishments, Hengrove Comprehensive. If your family lived around there I might have known them. Surname? I went to Hengrove too! 68-72. Sir name Ward christian name John! No relation to an old manager!!!

I have been wearing a mask since we were first asked to do so and I will continue to do so when I want to or until I feel it is ok to stop . I’m not sure why being considerate to others for the common good is now being mocked by some who are calling it “living in fear”, but it needs to stop!!!... When I wear a mask over my nose and mouth in public and in the stores/supermarkets/pharmacies etc - I want you to know the following: 🟣 I'm educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus. 🟣 I don't "live in fear" of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem. 🟣 I don't feel like the "government controls me". I feel like I'm an adult contributing to the security in our society and I want to teach others the same. 🟣 If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place. 🟣 Wearing a mask doesn't make me weak, scared, stupid or even "controlled". It makes me caring and responsible. 🟣 When you think about your appearance, discomfort, or other people's opinion of you, imagine a loved one - a child, father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even a stranger - placed on a ventilator, alone without you or any family member allowed at their bedside.....Ask yourself if you could have helped them a little by wearing a mask. Well said sir I went to Knowle Park School between 1964-68. Were you there then?

I’m lost! I can see black in both the holding and wearing shot. ahhhh I see what you mean!! Is it because he is depicting a fan wearing an older shirt but picking up his new one? Just guessing but I think it’s a black stripe on the blue sleeve and blue stripe on the white sleeve?

If you think the coverage is roughly the same go online to Bristol Live which is BP's online site. Don't click on Rovers at the top of the page, just scroll down the main page until you come to their sports coverage, or should I say darkside coverage, plenty about them, naff all about us! That's how it is everyday unles something major happens to us like we sack a manager, then we might get a paragraph.

89/90 was a brilliant season and one to cherish but I'd still go with 73/74! They say you never forget your first time and that was my first promotion season!!

Carl's own words - Rovers fans know you just as a striker but you played in a few positions at Stoke didn’t you? I started as a striker, who could occasionally play on the wing, but I got used in a few positions yeah. It was the days when you only had one substitute, so I came on once when a full-back got injured and did a good job. I was often used like a modern wing-back, playing right or left, so was ahead of my time in that sense. I could get forward quick, and I didn’t mind sticking my boot in every now and then.
So perhaps I over did it when I said he was a full back but I seem to remember at the time it was often stated that he was playing fulback for Stoke when we signed him.
