We’re not playing great but before everyone melts down please do remember that we have pretty much all our strikers injured at the moment, we’re missing a number of key players who are coming back from injury / COVID protocols, this is NOT our 1st team starting line up, Cheltenham are a league above us and we did have the ball in the net immediately after half time but it was ruled out for offside…… if that had stood then it would be a different complexion….. add to that that it’s a new squad that will take a few weeks to gel and that whilst we had a pre season, it was hugely disrupted because of COVID protocols and pings etc…. I find people on here are so quick to criticise and jump on the ‘we’re sh#te’ everything is bad and we’re never gonna ever get better band wagon…. This… the f is wrong with people? We are TWO games in. Playing one of the favs away and last seasons league winners tonight with probably 5/6 of our best forward players out. I worry for peoples mental capacity on here sometimes. If we are still sh** in 10 games, fire away. Thank god we didn’t listen to the trigger happys when DC had a similar start in the Conference

P?!s off Eric, he came on here to have a pop. Are you going to contribute today or just more of the same? I’ve been following this thread for a while, just sick of the constant negative glass half empty spin. But if you can’t see that you and yatton must be related.

This is a bizarre exchange. Centenary gas im sorry but would you be positive about a new variant or rising cases? Of course not. I dont know what you expect. It’s pretty clear what I was saying. Glass half full. Frothing over negative news/numbers, ignoring positive news and numbers. And yattongas knows I’ve got a point from his replies. Have a nice day

More selectively posting “uh oh”s about every potential bit of negative news and then ignoring the positives in favour of negative slants. We’ve just had 5 good days in numbers, and the only response is some clickbait crap from Peston about how it might not actually be good. Glass half empty always. Just because you don’t like to read it and take it adversely , that’s your problem . I’ll post what I like thanks . If you want to see some positive posts , take a look at the Olympics thread 🙄 Take it adversely? There isn’t anyway else to take your posts. I actually did the same as you for a while, watching Sky News for hours every day. The doom was kind of addictive until I snapped out of it. Still time for freedom day to hit home or another variant to throw a spanner in and you’ll have some more negatives to enjoy dooming about.

Yep , just looked back at a few of his posts . He’s had a shocking pandemic 🤣 He won’t mind me saying this cos he’s a happy chappy 😉 We all get things wrong but to be criticised for being negative when you get things right... I dont get it ?? More selectively posting “uh oh”s about every potential bit of negative news and then ignoring the positives in favour of negative slants. We’ve just had 5 good days in numbers, and the only response is some clickbait crap from Peston about how it might not actually be good. Glass half empty always. I get that it’s a depressing time, but find some sort of optimism when it’s presented, christ.

You are a miserable sod, do you ever post anything positive? Quite a few more like you addicted to the predictions of doom unfortunately. Cases have a 5 day delay on incidents fwiw as far as the euros are concerned Your last prediction on here a few weeks ago was that cases were going to drop wasn't it? Better late than never For balance, the positivity rate hasn’t fallen so it’s not all rosy, and the “freedom day” impact won’t really be hitting home properly yet.

lft is the only way to guarantee if someone is negative and would imagine this will start to get pushed to enter spectator events over vaccines. The problem is then cost as the free test is only at the moment being funded by the government until sept.going to a game is going to get costly if you have to pay up to 30 quid and you wont get your money back if a match gets cancelled. I literally have loads if you ever need any , I’m not vaxxed though so you might want to sanitise them first 😉 LFT are far from a guarantee you are negative, they just tell you sometimes when you are positive.

but if they get their way the test option wont be an option come sept. Who is they, and why would the benefit from that? What would be the advantage to doing that? Do you have any evidence that is their plan? Bojo announced it a few days ago, though personally I think it’s just a push to get more young uns vaxxed and won’t actually happen.

A friend of my mine went for a recent lateral flow test it came back positive they sent him for a PCR test to find out what variant it was they said it would always be positive guess what it came back negative how many more r like that with the daily figures Positive LFT are only counted in the daily figures when they have been confirmed by a positive PCR test. When positive for covid recently, 4/4 of my lateral flows came back negative, so they are far from perfect. They are much more likely to be false negative than false positive.

“It is down to fans personal preference whether fans wish to wear a mask whilst at the stadium. “
Doesn’t seem to say they have to be worn at any time in the stadium, whether moving around or not. Seems sensible given a lot of it is outside in the open air. I suspect the code of conduct is rules for previous times when more restrictions were in place.

Pretty sure Bojo just said from September everyone will need proof of vax to go to any event with crowds, and negative tests will not be be accepted. If thats the case, not sure what unvaccinated people with season tickets are meant to do.

Worst home kit we have ever had. Looks awful. Didn't look too bad in the teaser video but really disappointed now I've seen the front. I can tell no market research has got into that at all, if it ever does? Its concerning that someone (or many) in the club have looked at it and given it the ok. This is meant to be a major source of income for the club. Tinpot

They have ****ed it, which considering they were copying a good looking shirt, is quite something.

They don't like giving football freedoms back easily either. Terracing(/safestanding, alcohol in grounds. Rovers are keeping social distancing in place and banning away fans post July 19th for no apparent reason at all. We will be at full capacity when the season starts, it's not anything really needs trialling.

Anything to suggest whether away fans will be allowed or not? I see no good reason why not but given the unnecessary rules Rovers are putting in for the post July 19th friendlies...

So because I’m exempt from wearing a mask and don’t have the vaccine I won’t be able to watch even tho none of its law. Is this fact or just a newspaper article suggesting that’ll be the rules? I read it as guidance for the clubs who will then make their own rules. You won't need a vaccine if you do the free home lateral flow testes and upload the result. I don't see any of the new rules working well at the mem. Staggered entry for example, good luck telling people they have to leave the pub early. And if you're late, they're still going to let you in. Personally I have no interest arriving before 2:55. Masks.. people will slip them aside or remove them or slip them aside when they shout or sing, which makes them pretty pointless.

It's one thing having masks indoors, but outside? Ridiculous Those home lateral flow tests are pretty useless as well. 4/4 of mine have come back negative while I was positive for covid, and others have had the same experience. People are taking the negative result as some confirmation they definitely don't have covid and thus they may end up being more damaging than useful. Feeling better now CG? Hope so. Yes thank you, just a small cold for a few days essentially.
