It's a shame that peoples only response to what is a valid argument is "if you don't like it, don't go".

We have Pompey at home 29th December. Not sure if the club have done anything yet about marking out no go areas in the seating and the terraces, but believe we have to do a test game with only a thousand in attendance first, so not much joy there. Which rule is this? Wycombe did a 1k attendance before later realising there was no such requirement.

I think the opposite sorry I am paying £18 a game on ifollow which is rubbish value to help the club, but I understand your reasoning There’s no way they won’t prioritise season ticket holders. Question is how they decide was 2,000 from 3,500ish will go. I’d be surprised if many more than 2000 STH chose to..

The problem with tier 3 is that regional lockdowns haven't been too successful and we may not come out of it for a long time. But thats where we are going. I've always been optimistic normal won't be too far away, but I doubt the Mem will see crowds before a lot closer to then.
We have plenty of elderly/vulnerable season ticket holders that won't want to go. And others, like myself, who are quite happy to skip the hollow matchday experience of masked 2,000 at the Mem.

Content with this
When he was at Exeter he was highly regarded and in high demand. Final two seasons reached the playoff finals. Good record of bringing players through to sell for a good profit. Loyal as well.
First season at MK and gets them promoted automatically. It was only the 9 games of the next season that were to blotch on his record there.

OBB... A LOT of people caught Covid 6 months ago or so. How many of those have come out with secondary infections? The numbers speak for themselves, at least in the short term.. Maybe. Like I said, we will have to wait and see. Maybe so, but people want answers now, or at least some reasonable estimates. Risk vs reward still rings true, and the risk is statistically minute, unless there’s some stats being overlooked? We can’t just wait and see on everything otherwise society would grind to a halt. Last time there was a second infection in another continent it made U.K. news, despite the 1% false positive rate (unsure on this exact figure) making a lot of these extremely likely.Given there are 42m confirmed cases worldwide, even 0.1% second infection would see 42,000 people being awfully quiet. If you’ve recovered from Covid, it’s pretty nailed on you can assume some immunity for the short term at the very least...

Interested in your opinion OB on someone I heard of who caught covid, recovered and is now living life normally flaunting all the rules because they believe they are immune. I’ve heard of one re-infection but it appears the odds are ridiculously low so discounting that aspect, is this a responsible thing to be doing and if not what are the issues? Given the percentage of false positives, and the lack of the thousands of people screaming/claiming they’ve had it twice despite the million or so confirmed cases, it’s pretty damned likely people are immune after having it to a level it’s not worth worrying about Even if 1% of the confirmed cases caught it again, that would be 10k repeat infections... If any decent number of people caught it twice, plenty of them would be screaming about it

Seems completely illogical to set a 1000 limit when the grounds can hold anywhere between 5k and 35k people.

Some of those comments make me just dread another round of stadium planning permission wars. Imagine a box full drunken football supporters hurled through your child's window in the middle of the night. They also had a moan it doesn’t fit the local area. Talk about delusions of grandeur for the “world famous” Gloucester Road no one outside of Bristol has heard of.

I assume those who are deluded enough to think we have any chance of going down will be taking advantage of the 150/1 available?
Emotional people may be, but don't be rediculous.

He had obviously told Mansfield to come and get him, so that stuff about “thinking to do” and seeing how he feels in the morning, was absolute bullsh*t
He has handled this badly, Mansfield are welcome to him. He won’t last long if he doesn’t get the results to back up his ugly football.

Ollie with Mansell no2 until the end of the season
I don’t think he would be the best man for the job, but we haven’t got a lot to lose and rolling the dice with this would be entertaining. Crowds would go back up.

Given where we are in the league I should care if he leaves, but... I don’t really. As for the way he’s gone about it, poor form whatever the circumstances behind the scenes. Not sure what he is trying to achieve by taking all the attention away from a great awau result. Walking out mid season is water poor given the opportunity he was given.
Read some Mansfield fans saying he gets teams playing attractive football. Can’t argue with the results, but attractive football it is not, as reflected by the drop in attendances.

Apparently ifollow is audio only, which is probably for the best.

Don’t feel sorry for me I’m not the slightest bit tempted to go to the semi, or the final should we qualify. The new Wembley with tens of thousands of empty seats, after we’ve been twice in the last ten years, isn’t a huge pull for everyone.
