Crama and Hoole drop out of the squad. Strangely still a place for the useless Grant. I wonder what Taylor sees, or more accurately doesn't see, in Hoole. With our midfield shortages recently I would have put him in there as defensive CM.

Difference is you have one team playing for something (Survival) and one team playing for nothing Problem is that we need another 7 to 9 points to be safe - we should be playing for something - survival - ourselves. Carlisle have lost I think 7 on the trot before today ffs Edit - scored as I type - hoorah

Matt Taylor has made this team 10 x worse than when he took over How many key injuries...? Same number or fewer than Northampton last week, but their manager probably didn't give a deflating pre match interview and got the players he did have available playing a system that worked.

Plenty of us here have seen Rovers consistently beat them and finish higher in the league. Do they currently have better facilities and an owner who throws a lot of money at them ? Yes - is it possible that we can end up in the same league as them and beat them - of course it is. More importantly most of the people that support Rovers do so through love, family tradition or supporting the team that plays in their community or nearest to their home. Can't deny if you turn up in Bristol with no love or passion and just want to watch a game you are likely to go over there, but that so does not make us second to them. 3 lads I work with moved up from Devon a couple of years ago all love football and play it decent amateur level they’ve been to a few Rovers games and a few city and all three said the the thatchers is a better atmosphere and vibe about the place than Ashton gate. They’ve stopped going to see the 82ers now but are going to take in more games at the Mem. I think where we miss out to them is where older fans looking to take their kids or mrs to a game would probably prefer the 82ers because the toilets are cleaner , you can sit down etc.I certainly wouldn't sit down on our toilets

Anyone else having problems with ifollow? Yes - it shows us being 2-0 down and unable to defend, can't be right?

Surely Grant realises you need to make the odd tackle when playing in midfield? We're making Northampton look like Man C when they attack. Really would have preferred Hoole in there instead as a defensive tackling midfielder in front of our clearly shaky defence

Will be remembered as the battle of six fields.two players sent of from both sides. 5 2 rovers win after a 10 minute hat trick by marquis.harry Vaughan and crama with two headed goals to complete the rout I hope there aren't two players sent off from each side - not from ours anyway. We would be struggling to field a team for the following Carlisle game with two more suspensions.

Really tough game . Lots saying Conteh and Evan’s 2 games out. Though only 1 game ? But happy to be corrected. 2 yellows I game . 5 bookings 1 game unless he’s had much more than 5 which I suspect is the case . Anyway I fill positive and believe well will win 0-1 and go marching on . UTG Stoney As I understand it Evans suspension is for 10 cautions before the 37 game cut off, not 5, and so is 2 games. Conteh has had two yellows in one game before this season (for Grimsby) so this is his second red and so the suspension is two games, not one. I would like to see Hoole in the defensive midfielder slot today, and hope Finley is fit for Carlise. The cobblers midfield is pretty light today due to injury I believe, could be an ugly game where both teams bypass the midfield completely

The danger with patching up Finley too early is he'll be missing for more games. If he plays Saturday and we still lose, and then isn't available for Carlisle we could lose that too without Evans and Conteh

Conteh is just a one match ban for two yellows Didn’t he pick up yellows at Grimsby? Think it may be 2 games. If it's his second red card - even when both were for a second yellow and not straight reds for violent conduct, then I think that those two reds mean a two game suspension. When second yellows are received then I think I'm right that only the first one counts toward the totting up to 5/10/15 at the three cut off points. We're going to struggle without Conteh and Evans for two games - and if Finley isn't fit I'd be tempted as others have said to use Hoole as a DM, but where the creativity is coming from I don't know - Sinclair and or Vaughan?

Once this level of performance sets in it becomes increasingly difficult to get out of it. Looking at the teams below us - and Shrewsbury are currently beating Barnsley, I really fear we will be down in the mix - just a couple of places above the drop zone, in a few games from now

An absolute joke of a defence. Taking us down unless it gets sorted - soon

Absolutely terrible week. If we maintain those level of performances at home we’ll probably just scrape staying up. On the basis of this weeks performances I would take that at the moment I think.

We and Matt are learning so much about this squad of players. Many have been given a chance today to impress and just maybe not taken their opportunity. We have some talent not available today and when they are I’m sure we play better. Time for cool heads, for sure, but today has not been a performance we need to see, whatever the final result. Trouble is Rich I don't think anyone is learning anything useful, or anything that will arrest this slump that risks taking us down into the relegation places

Incredibly worrying times. The way we are playing, and losing at home to teams below us, will see us dragged into the relegation mix in four or five games ...as I type we pull one back - COME ON GAS show some spirit

I think only 5 of this 11 will be playing Div1 football next season If we're not careful they'll all be playing for us in Lg2!

Remembering back to the season we went up under Gerry Francis.. did we even get any injuries, i can't remember anything significant. What the hell are we doing different now ? It seems that all clubs suffer large numbers of injuries now. Is it because the game is faster now, more stress on the body perhaps because of that, more treatments to keep players playing when they shouldn't causing more severe injuries longer term?
