I really think that a Monkhouse Partnership could be built with Rodman/Hare possibly now with Williams too Rodman? Isn't he just winding down to his retirement this summer? At least Bennett when he plays puts in the odd cross/shot I can't recall Rodman doing anything this season, and for most of last season once Garner was appointed. I also sense Hare's time at Rovers could well be up as I can't see Williams has joined us to be anything other than first choice RB. Rodman was our best attacking right sided player. That doesn't just disappear overnight. Any comparison with Bennett is complete fantasy.

Club official Instagram story says "Here's your 5 minute warning" and shows the back of someone's head.
Could be a signing being announced.
Whoever it is has dark hair and a short ponytail. A good ringer for Gareth Bale.

What's happened to Daly? Is he still injured?

He was training with Swindon pre-season and played pre-season friendlies for them. As you are probably aware, on this forum penaltys don't count. So on that basis, surely pre season training and friendlies don't count. Haha. Of course!

Posted earlier about it, the guy was a fraud of a striker, Tony Craig scored more. Even Swindon didn’t want him. Never played for Swindon, played five times for Cheltenham on loan from us. He was training with Swindon pre-season and played pre-season friendlies for them.

Hanlan, Nicholson and Daly have all scored more in the half season to date than Nichols did in his entire Rovers career spanning three seasons.

I wish they’d play tote end boys after the final whistle regardless of the result. Great song. So is Glad All Over. Good but not great and it's Palace's tradition that we've aped.

The one they play after we lose You're on your own there. Tote End Boys - Ben Gunson. Absolute anthem in my opinion. They don't just play it when we lose, they play it after every game but when we win they play Glad All Over - Dave Clark Five first.

Better than that , 8 goals in 20 games in all competitions would suggest he’s had a flying start to his Rovers Career. Also suggestions that his conversation rate is poor are off the mark in my opinion. Until a few weeks ago we created very little and until yesterday I can’t remember him squandering many chances and he still got a goal even though he missed a pen and a sitter. The blokes been class for us, our next top scorer has 3 if hanlan only had three we’d most likely be bottom of the league now. Some people on here amaze me they really do. Think you’ll find Hanlan has only scored 3 league goals from open play. In how many appearances? Of those appearances how many minutes played? How long did it take "our most naturally gifted player" to reach the same tally?

"Season ticket holders have already received a small token of our appreciation with a gift-voucher to spend in the online store and to further celebrate your loyal support". I'm a ST holder and I've not heard of this before. Did everyone else get the voucher? NO It's true then ... Wael is influenced by what he reads on this forum.

www.itfc.co.uk/news/2020/december/new-covid-strain-hits-ipswich/New strain behind Town Covid cases as speed of transmission causes EFL alarm, with Club physio backing a football circuit breaker Town physio, Matt Byard, anticipates there will be more positive Covid-19 tests in the squad this week and has confirmed it’s the new variant strain that has hit Portman Road. The Club’s general manager of football operations, Lee O’Neill, is the latest to test positive for the virus, joining manager Paul Lambert and five players who are all in self-isolation. The training ground has been closed and players and staff told to stay away from the Club. Portsmouth, Peterborough and Sunderland have also reported positive cases over the last few days but it’s the outbreak at Town that has caused extra concern at the EFL. “In previous cases at clubs, the confirmatory source can normally be isolated down to a coach journey or a lengthy meeting indoors. We however, have had the same protocols in place since we started pre-season training,” Matt told the Club website. “The players are still arriving to training in kit, training and then going straight home. No showers are in use, no canteen where they eat communally. If you consider a staged return to normal behaviour at the training ground in five phases, then we are at the beginning of phase two. “We have only had two cases here in nine months [Kayden Jackson and Matt Gill] so to get seven in one week is alarming. “ I have looked at every avenue and the only scenario for transmission has to be our match against Burton last week and because it seems to have been passed on in a matchday environment, it is confirmation of a new development. We still have stringent protocols in place in terms of use of the dressing-rooms, I might add. “We are doing things the right way. We always have done. Players and staff deserve a great deal of credit as they adhere routinely to the guidelines and the new way of operating. This has been thoroughly supported by senior staff and executives. It would have been very easy to allow players and staff to change in the building and have showers, especially given the change in weather. Our adherence to guidelines is still likely to have reduced potential transmission risk, even under these circumstances. “This new strain of the virus clearly transmits far quicker than the original Covid strain and we have the data and symptom profile that confirms that is what we are dealing with here. “We have tested all the playing and coaching staff and from the results, we can detect the level of infection and see the patterns emerging, however it’s the speed of the transmission that tells us it’s the new strain. “We will be re-testing all the staff on Wednesday who have previously tested negative and I do have concerns that there will be more positive cases. It’s important to recognise the timing of testing is absolutely crucial in determining the diagnosis. A wrongly timed test can very likely produce a false result. We have to very closely determine potential transmission risks and consider the period of incubation before becoming infectious. “We have been complimented by the EFL for the procedures we have had in place at the training ground and on matchday - and that is one of the reasons they have become very concerned over the latest developments. “I know the EFL are looking at bringing in extra measures, with maybe more testing for example. I have always supported routine testing to secure a return to playing programme. Personally, with so many clubs affected by this presently and this new strain development, football may benefit from a ‘circuit breaker’ before a return to playing securely.” First time I've seen this put forward, could spell disaster if found to be the case. Hancock was saying the other day this new strain is 70% more transmittable. I guess I hadn’t taken into account that could now include close proximity outside at events like football matches. Like you say, I think the more we understand about this new strand is could mean the end of the league. There is absolutely no counting method known to modern science that would allow Hancock to know whether this "new strain" is 70% more transmissible. Certainly not at this time. That is a made up figure.

What an absurd thing for him to say. Haven't we just explored in this thread hiw footballers have families and don't stay in a bubble as a team?

I thought that goal at Ipswich really could have been the turning point for him goalscoring-wise. He was/is a good footballer but he had clearly lost confidence in front of goal - constantly not quite being in the right place, looking to not quite get there so he couldn't be accused of missing chances rather than busting a gut on 50/50 chances which real goal scorers do. Unfortunately GC's treacherous departure, and BG's "philosophy" just knocked the stuffing out him and the whole team. It's good to see him finding some form at Crawley. Good luck to him. Hmmm ... Tom Nichols signed on 17 July 2017. Graham Coughlan left on 17 December 2019. Bit of a stretch?

Welcome Jaxx. Remember that anything written on here five times is equivalent to fact. X5? That's gone up a bit, it aways used to be x3. Thats inflation for you. Agree. Five is Lore if not Gospel. Three is easily fact. Some forum facts make it in as little as two. It's important to take account of the "Topper Repetition Factor" which will often have the result of propelling something into fact status much sooner than if it had been regurgitated by someone else.

Not a f**king clue what half this thread is about. I understand that Michael Smith may be playing for a team in Scotland but after that, not a notion.
