The Gaschat hatred of Cotterill is so self sabotaging. The guy knows how to do well at this level, why should we vociferously turn that down because he’s been a bit of a berk in the media? Are we that not bothered about promotion? Funnily enough, it would have been an ideal time for him to come in and take over when BG was put in a taxi. It’s clear that a lot of supporters can’t see past his previous connections but that wouldn’t have mattered with no fans in the ground this season. Opinions would soon have changed if he had got us playing and made use of his excellent contacts in the game. By the time fans were back in he would have been lauded as the best manager around. Cotterill- another delusional narcissist.

Westbrooke is sh**e. Total and utter sh**e. Need rid of asap. Hanlan works hard and is a good player but isn't the guy to get 20+ a season. Defensively we are dreadful. Missing Anssi. Tisdale talks a good game and I got reeled in but he has 3 games to save his job IMO. Going down. Tisdale is a delusional narcissist only suited to the career we took him away from: management consultant.

Sam Frost has just said the WDP deadline is 2030, hence why no match report in the following mornings paper. BP deadline is 2230. So they've got a full nine years to get something in. No excuse.

Was SwissGas really banned for questioning how the club's being run by Wael? What next posters banned if they don't agree with Tisdale's team selections or tactics? I have held my hands up that I misjudged Swiss Gas posts on Saturday, If you would like to discuss the matter more with me, by all means send me a P.M. Don't worry. Whatever the truth is, Topper will now repeat that he was banned for criticising Wael from now on. As will Gasincider.

The Problem is there are certain posters that like to throw "forum grenade's" then duck back under the duvet and watch the havoc it causes! Generally it's the same very few posters who are doing this and it is overly negative both on the forum and the club. To be clear we are talking about posters that are quite articulate & in my view (and that's what a forum is about) do it deliberately. This gives the Moderators every right to remove these sort of posts or posters & generally I think they do a pretty good job. I think this is a really well Moderated forum and I don't feel there's any subject is off limits, just the language needs to be measured, proportional and considered. In comparison (Gaschat) is an Independent forum OTIB is not. You can see all threads on Gaschat even if you are not signed up. This is not the case on OTIB. You have to be signed up. They hide back certain threads in particular transfer discussions. It's owned by the Franchise itself and they have a habit of squashing complete threads if there's to much criticism of them. This has happened a number times especially on the subject of the Landsown family or there business model even when the comments are quite mild. Personally very happy Gaschat is Independent.
Keep up the good work Mods. In four hours this post has been seen and commented on by those it was directed at on here who have been dealing with a minor problem. However over on "bitter and twisted" it's got them punching holes in the doors of there houses. Deary me! it wasn't meant as a did at them but gosh have'nt they bitten. Cumulating in one of the Mods trying to defend there position yet confirming exactly what what I was saying about hidden threads. "If" they truly were the big club they think they are they would'nt need to react like they do! But really 2300+ pages (this time) on not a lot more other than just commenting on this forum really says everything about there franchise and there supporters. Have never understood your desire to read their rubbish, let alone report on it back here.

Is it now forum policy to bar talk of poor performance by Wael and or Widdrington? I ask because it seems the knives are out for anyone doing so. I thought agreement for no more personal insults had been agreed, yet Henbury Gas had recently had two posts removed for nothing insulting whatsoever, Gastower who very rarely posts has been banned, and I now here Swissgas, one of the most sane and sensible posters oh here with his considered and lively points. So can someone clarify what the rules of engagement are as this is beginning to look like a coup Proof, if it were needed, that the coven of witches conspire offline (or some other online means) to co-ordinate their Gaschat postings. You really are not as good at this as you think you are.

That might be comforting to say that but there is no “theory” about it because the facts are there for everyone to see. The audited accounts show the club has a higher income compared to clubs of a similar status but it’s expenses are completely out of control so we are making huge losses. Fans ask “ how can other clubs who have much lower incomes do it” ? and the answer is in the audited accounts. Other clubs control their expenses and manage their income better than Rovers do. Those failings in managing the business are being repeated in the way we manage the football side of the club as we can all see. The organization is completely out of control as shown by the wild managerial appointments, drastic “philosophy” changes, unsatisfactory recruitment and performance on the pitch. We are drifting along clutching at straws and hoping for the best. It may be worthwhile reflecting on the fact that that those who refuse to bury their heads in the sand and pretend all is “wael” actually have a stronger desire to see Rovers succeed than those who are just content to go with the flow. I will bow down to your superior knowledge than me, a mere fan. Swiss's superior knowledge includes: - adding up all the figures in a set of accounts and calling the total 'debt'; - looking for documents relating to a Jersey registered company on Companies House in the UK; and my personal favourite - complaining that Wael hadn't capitalised the debt and when Wael did exactly that, changing his complaint to something about Wael smirking in the interview and pretending that was his problem all along.

We were 4th in December not the first week of September. That's a hell of a lot of luck. An absolutely storming amount of luck to best Ipswich while playing with 10 men for 15 minutes. Very lucky indeed. It’s just my opinion but I just don’t think there were many teams playing well at that point and we scraped and ground out some results, again only my opinion but I found it grim to watch. And if I’m honest, I’d probably rather watch grim wins than pretty defeats! I was hoping for prettier wins but can’t have it all Fair enough. I think grinding out results is different to luck. Keeping tight defensively and relying on a one goal margin is it's own tactic. As you say not a pretty one but it worked. For me the fact we were seeing the same thing week in week out and winning proves it wasn't luck.

Does anyone think that any manager in the world wouldn’t want more striker? Anyone really think that TW came to garner and said “I’ve got a cracking 6ft 20 goal a season league one striker” and BG said no?! If we went in light on strikers it’s the clubs fault. When Garner came in how many actual strikers did we have? JCH and Nicholas just off him. The club doesn’t like buying strikers because they are expensive! Quite, but out of everyone at the club it’s not Tisdale’s fault is it? He wasn’t here when the recruitment was made yet he is being judged partially on the basis of only having one fit (actually decent) striker available to him. Harsh. It's not harsh to judge the bloke as a total for bringing on a 6th defender in place of a centre mid at 1-0 down. He can't hide behind Garner for that.

Perhaps the fact over 12 months we had the best form in L1 and we managed to bank us £1m+ when we sold JCH plus he also signed arguably the best goalie we've had since Nigel Martin. Whether he could repeat that feat is the great unknown. Whether he treated us like s### is the great unknown, the fact Garner went down the young kids route playing attractive football, does suggest there may well have been a fall out between Wael and GC over which direction the club was heading, forcing GC to look elsewhere. Coughlan either left because he fell out either board or wanted to be near his family in the north so a non starter. I honestly can’t believe the rhetoric that he was a great manager. I always felt we were 4th by luck and it wasn’t sustainable. Never going to happen like Holloway is never going to happen nor Paul Cook! Although I would love Paul Cook to take over. Tisdale was a lazy appointment because he was out of work and local. Poor league 1 manager who I honestly think will take us down. We’re doomed.....! We were 4th in December not the first week of September. That's a hell of a lot of luck. An absolutely storming amount of luck to best Ipswich while playing with 10 men for 15 minutes. Very lucky indeed.
