Here's a question for anyone who cares to answer. Which of the following three would you take: A) Promotion back to L1 with confirmation that there will be no new or redeveloped stadium any time soon; B) Consolidate in L2 and announcement of modest but definite Mem redevelopment with a couple of new stands; C) Relegation to Conference but announcement of definite brand new stadium? B

What utterly bizarre behaviour displayed in this thread. From the op and subsequent responses.
The answer might be just to accept that people have different opinions to you and stop with this weird psychological pressure to ensure everything that everyone says all the time is "positive".
It's infantile behaviour and if it genuinely is impacting on a person's mental health I would suggest that that is an issue which members of a football discussion forum will be unable to solve as part of the discussions they have about football.

I'm still traumatised by the title of this thread. Literally any interpretation of it causes disturbing imagery.

I actually thought the team performance was not bad on Saturday. They played as a team but there was no pace and nothing up front.

Topps have you got a split personality? Why are you in the JB camp, what's he done to warrant your support, he was shocking last season and really no better this season, I personally don't think he's got a clue. a decent manager with a decent squad would walk this league, unfortunately we seem to have neither of them.

I thought everything was the laughing stock of a fan-base's fault?
I have to say I don't agree with this "time to gel" argument.
Watching the game on Saturday I didn't see a team that weren't playing as a unit. I thought there was a cohesive team there but it was a cohesive team without pace and without penetration.
We've been here before. In fact every time we've struggled in League Two that has been our problem.
With the benefit of that experience I don't think it's controversial to say that those are problems that don't resolve themselves without change of personel.

How can JB be blamed for Saunders and Anderson failing to clear the ball between themselves, it's a bit like blaming a Tesco manager if a shop worker drops a wine bottle. As far as Manse apart from playing for Rovers he has nothing on his CV to suggest he can manage a L2 football club, when he's not even coached at league level. Probably not, re Saunders and Anderson, but when similar mistakes are made every week this then begs the question of where is the coaching, if they are properly coached then are the players competent at this level? If not why were they recruited? It appears all roads lead to the managers door. You've got it wrong. Everything before r Joey arrived is the manager's fault. We've been very clear about that. Since r Joey came in nothing is the manager's fault. It's not difficult to understand is it?

It's not really that veiled. It's fairly overt. We were, at best, OK in spells today. Nothing more then OK. The reference to the last 3 managers is the sunk cost fallacy. Google it. We are very poor. Absolutely mediocre at best. Neither of those gets us promoted so I'm not sure what your point is beyond that. Agree that generally we were poor today but nowhere near mediocre…. I’ve seen worse performances in the 40 ish years I’ve been watching the gas…. Don’t need to Google anything as whilst you may not think it - I actually have a brain and know what it means…. My point is that we’re 7 league games into a season with a completely brand new team who have had a disrupted pre season with the bulk of the players having to relocate or spend time away from their families…. We’ve also been carrying injuries to some of our better players who are therefore not fully fit or are missing and some are our more creative players…. It’s bound to be disjointed this early into a season…. You can’t just snap your fingers and everything miraculously changes from the dire disappointment of last season to suddenly us winning and steamrollering teams and winning everything and performances being amazing every week….it will take time. People go on about last season etc - any team who has 3 managers who all have different philosophies on how the team should be set up, how we should play and training methods and add in that it was a complete team turnover and the lack of fans to help aid confidence or drive us on and the challenging training environment they were all in due to COVID is bound to struggle…. I agree with you that the team have not played well or consistently so far this season but for me it’s early days and I have seen periods in most games where we’ve had moments or spells that gives me hope we will turn it round…. And no need for digs…. I’ve been polite and respectful to you throughout so why the need to have a dig at me personally because of my views? You could have made your point just about the performance without bringing me personally into it because I have a certain opinion? Yeah fair play. Not meant as a personal dig - more lighthearted than that. Hard to put across in writing. I was making a joke initially. We seem to have no penetration up front, it's hard to see how that's going to change. I feel like we've been here before a lot and it's not something that a team develops out of in my experience. I had fun yesterday anyway. It wasn't dire. I admit that. But certainly nothing near anything above mid table standard.

Is everyone sure it's not just their unconscious bias and lack of positivity making them think we lost today? I’m assuming that this is a veiled dig at me as I talked about unconscious bias in that I felt at the time people were possibly giving JB a harder time than maybe they would if it was a different manager in the same position of having had a huge turnover of players, a disrupted pre season due to Covid etc and a number of our better players being out injured… Not saying he doesn’t deserve criticism but there were overly strong opinions (IMO) being voiced on every single thread and a small number of posters were strongly calling for him to be sacked etc etc… I still think we’ll turn it round and I still believe we should have some patience and see where we are in a few weeks time… My opinion on today’s game is that 1st half we more than held our own, we’re playing ok and we’re generally on the front foot… we had chances and Saunders should have scored when he was put through… Second half we struggled and once they scored our confidence dropped…. We need to bear in mind Hartlepool have won something like 17 of the last 19 games at home and are a team on form with momentum… it was always going to be tough… especially as we have atrocious away form… Our performances have been disjointed all season so far but in most games there have been periods and spells where we have looked good… our results prior to today we’re improving even if the performances were not complete.. For all those people calling for JB to go - who would we get in to replace him and is it not a risk looking at the fact the last 3 managers have struggled to get results or consistency… It's not really that veiled.

I was jes wondering folks, if ye were ta stay in a hotel for th weekend an a ex rovers player was staying there, yous both had little ta do so you got ta sit down for hours an hours for th whole weekend sharing a drink or two in conversation who would you like it ta be? im nostalgic so it would have ta be Geoff Bradford. I’d love ta hear his stories. Tom Ramasut. I could get me hair cut and he could ask me where I've been on holiday this year. Is he a hairdresser now? In about 2005 I was living in East London, I was about to move in with two others who had arranged the lease. When I went to the office to sign the lease the estate agent was none other than Tom Ramasut.

Absolutely could not care less about Swindon. I certainly don't consider them a rival.
As for their ground ... it's in Swindon, what more do you need to know?

You think? But in any event suggesting we all read a book written by this man on the basis of some amateur hour theories expressed within it, without any supporting evidence, is...equally nonsensical. I’ve concluded that a small number of posters on here sit by their keyboards (seemingly hourly) identifying opportunities to open up debate or disagree with other posters as a form of personal entertainment. It’s a bit tiresome. How much fun is that, really? Err ... if anyone is here for a reason that is not personal entertainment ... what the hell is it?

"Here's how you can ignore the input of people who you've decided doesn't fit with your agenda".
I was right it really is religious zealotry
What if there are people who don't post/ anymore who don't have richhertford approved opinions?
I don't expect a response.

Guaranteed win !! Got good vibes about today and seeing Stu has started the thread as well it’s gonna be a win and a big one . 4-0 Gas , Pitman 2 , Nichols , Finley . You reckon an own goal then? Not sure he's even been on the bench for Crawley yet this season.
