Will be the hottest ticket in Bristol next season when we’re tearing up Div1.

I’m thinking about going in the Scunthorpe end. Just need to find a trawler net and a packet of fisherman’s friends as cover.

Rochdale not going to be easy, we need to be right on our game I just watched the highlights of their recent game away at Exeter and they tore Exeter open a few times in the first 20 mins, could have been 2 up easy. FFS. You are not helping my anxiety

Not sure if The Cemetery has football on, but it's one hell of a great pub. Anywhere in Rochdale and you're going to get a warm, friendly and generous welcome. Bloody great town and wonderful supporters. Easily my favourite away trip. (Not this year though for me unfortunately) Apart from that pre season friendly in the 80’s where I got a bit of a shoeing.

Cask and feather (on faceache) is advertising the game, wants to welcome Gas fans, free sausage and chips, 2 miles from ground. I have no idea how good the pub is or isn't. Put me down for the sausage, someone else can have the chips 🐷

5 points from the last 42. Only one Win in the last 14 league games. Terrible Form. AWAY. At home Rochdale have lost just once in the last 12 matches. They have WON 5 and DRAWN 6 of these 12 games at The Crown Oil Arena. Excellent form.. In the last 8 home fixtures they have conceded just 3 goals. This weekend there is a widely held expectation that The Gas will win against Rochdale. They might. They might not. A draw seems much more likely. Rochdale have drawn exactly half of their home games this season. A gritty side at home but not an aggressive style of play. They are top of the Fair Play League this season with only 47 bookings. They are the only side in EFL league Two who have managed to avoid a RED card. In our history we have only beaten Rochdale on 8 occasions from 40 meetings. 18 of the head to head fixtures have ended in draws, including 3 of our last 5 visits to The Dale. While we want and need a WIN and 3 precious points we may need to be at our best just to earn a single point. A single point at Rochdale and a Home win against Scunthorpe United should be sufficient to ensure a play- off position. Do they walk to the away games, that’s pi$$ poor.

Frankly if you saw my 9 year old sons reaction at Gas fans 50 + in years, dressed in fancy dress, running and throwing punches at Forest green fans, you would not be posting this, I was embarrassed I hope they get banning orders. The worst part is those guys dressed as Knights were on the hospitality boxes at the back of the East Stand. That’s probably the furthest from the pitch you can sit. Mammoth effort to get down to pitch level. Noticed them up there during the game and they were all heavily induced before kick off, no excuse however. Would of been an absolute blood bath if they got their swords out. Lucky escape for the Forest Green Ultras.

Forest Green Rovers have been the most consistent team in this division this season. Losing their leading goal-scorer, Matt Stevens, early this month, has simply delayed their deserved promotion to League One. Whatever the result at The Memorial Stadium on Saturday 23rd April they have a chance of securing promotion mathematically. One point against us is sufficient for them to gain promotion. If other results go their way they may get promoted, despite a defeat by us. Their 700 plus supporters, players and staff will want to celebrate their achievement and will be entitled to enjoy their moment. As a group of genuine football supporters we ought to have some class and show them due respect. We might even consider applauding them as they leave the pitch. That does not mean we don't want to beat them or we shouldn't be disappointed if we don't win the game. It might be tough for some at the match to take if Forest Green Rovers have managed to beat us by hook or by crook Of course, the option to be arrogant, condescending and/or disrespectful is available for some of those attending. Deserved respect is an option that genuine football supporters will probably show. Defo , they are top of the pile. Great season for our Green Friends.

Would a small club like Port Vale make any headway in the third tier? I think it will be the same for any of the promoted clubs. Exeter have been a yo-yo team like Rovers. There is quite a difference in quality at top half of Division1. Still, the Gas will confront these issues when promoted! The most excellent chairwoman would ensure we have the players to compete in a higher league I feel..... Don’t bite mate. t’s a ridiculous statement, div one is hardly a massive step up .I’m sure VALE would be able to generate enough income to have a competitive playing budget. We did ok with practically the same team that got us from the National League to div 1.

TBF 3 points on the road is not to be sniffed at. 800 ain’t a bad turnout for an exhibition game. Can’t go up can’t go down. If they were pushing for a play off spot I’m 100% sure they would have sold out their allocation.
