Nicholls 5 at fault for 1st goal.
J. Clarke 5 struggled first 20 not his usual performance. Lockyer 6 solid but out of position for maybe a couple of goals. McChrystal 7 man mountain did the basics well ie heading and clearing the ball. Brown 6 consistent and assured.
Bodin 7 he gets us up the pitch and adds skill. Great goal and improving with every game. Mansell 7 great goal battled well. Sinclair 9 MOTM ran and ran and ran. He is worth 2 men. Was winning headers he had no right to win. Awesome! Gosling 7 got into clever pockets of space improving with every game.
Taylor 8 looked a threat, great goal and worked his socks off. Easter 7 linked up play well again worked his socks off.
Subs: Harrison 6 booked but put away pen well. O. Clarke 5 gave away pen but battled well. Leadbitter 5 did OK.
Crowd 10 sung all game. Great banter with Taylor. Ref 7 let play carry on at all times decent IMO Morecambe 6 good going forward but slow in defence.

I am glad JTS had the balls to stick his head in the guillotine. Until NH makes an official statement directly, these rumours will not be put to bed. My own opinion is that maybe a deal has broken down which is leading to both party's playing a game of chess with each other. The fact that this thread is huge tells me people are desperate for news, and a positive outcome for the club. Lets pray positive news of any description is forthcoming in the next few weeks / months. UTG. I think this is an old rumour, and the players involved are still wanting to buy the club but Higgs does not want to do business with them?is it Wray, Samuelson I don't know, but I believe there is something in this, will we ever find out well it's up to the consortium to show their hand, however you have to be careful what you wish for, under Higgs we will never go into administration, and he is a fan. I do not understand why the consortium do not come out and say who they are, and what their plan is? Higgs needs to back Darrell now and strengthen the team ready for the New year and push for the play offs. You could be right NH does not want to sell. At this stage both party's are keeping their powder dry but cracks are appearing hence JTS informing us of a potential interest. Loose lips sink ships!

In that case what good has this thread actually done? Presumably Exactly what the consortium (via the original posters) intended, to stir up fan pressure on the board so they can get away with a lower bid? Agree their money is talking already.

Nicholls 6 did ok no chance with goals, a couple of smart saves.
Leadbitter 6 good first game back lacking match sharpness. J. Clarke 4 never got going esp passing. Lockyer 8 MOTM a rock at the back. Parkes 4 looks sluggish and woefully out of form. Macca to take his place next game. Brown 5 not at his best.
Sinclair 5 has the spirit and energy of a league player. But the creativity and vision of a non league player. O. Clarke 3 a boy in a mans game yesterday can do a lot better. Lines 6 good passing but sat to deep.
Harrison 4 spent his time in the defenders pocket. needs to be more hungrier to get on the end of crosses. Easter 5 good finish but not a lot else.
Subs: Bodin 6 needs to start up top. Gosling 5 no impact. Taylor 3 not a league player IMO.
Crowd 5 Ref 8 Portsmouth 8 top 3 for sure.

This was NH's chance to put us straight in regards to the speculation this week over the consortium/s interest. The fact he hasn't tells us there is interest in some shape or form.

Nicholls 7 Looks a fantastic keeper assured and a wonderful reaction save.
J. Clarke 6 did ok looked solid. Lockyer 7 stand out defender for us. Parkes 6 not in form but still doing a job. Brown 6 consistent tried to get forward.
Bodin 6 good touches needs to take it to his opponent to be more effective. Lines 8 MOTM ran the show for me. Passing and forward runs of pure quality for L2. Sinclair 7 him and lines forming a great partnership. Typical Sincs performance. Gosling 5 average game needs to contribute more.
Taylor 5 worked hard but needs to add more to his game if he is to cut it at L2 level. Easter 6 good on the ball linked up well with midfield.
Subs: Montano 5 skilful needs a start. Harrison 5 put away the pen well BUT missed 2 chances and got booked. Lucas 6 won header for pen and won header for Ellis chance at the death. Good impact.
Crowd 7 Ref 7 Plymouth 7 playoffs min.

Ian Alexander purely for whenever we played the 82ers he had Gavin in his pocket or got sent off. David Pritchard for his tackling. Brian Parkin because he was class. Wally Walters for his skill. Steve Elliott coz he loves the gas. Devon White for his ability to physically hurt defenders.(Spreading Mick Mccarthy's nose across his face vs Millwall springs to mind) Gary Stanley for his enthusiasm (strange)

Chapman 6 Little to do good distribution second half.
Brown 6 steady game got some good crosses in but needs to beat his man more regular. Parkes 4 marked him down purely on his inability to convert free headers into goals in a tight game. Lockyer 6 solid game all round J. Clarke 6 again steady my only criticism would be he switched off and reacted slower than Roofe for the goal, maybe a bit harsh. Sinclair 7 covered every blade of grass.
O. Clarke 4 unlucky with sending off Mansell 5 clearly lacking a bit of match fitness but good to have him back Lines 8 MOM best player in a gas shirt his passing and attacking play was excellent yesterday
Easter 5 works hard but no end result Taylor 4 muscled out for long periods
Subs: Harrison 4 not a good impact Montano 3 looked awful Bodin 6 great touches won a clear cut penalty that wasn't to be. Needs a start as he has impressed with limited chances.
Crowd 8 good atmosphere Ref 0 one of the worst in living memory. Oxford 6 we had them stretched for long periods but done a job on us.

Chapman 6 certain parts of his game assuring other parts not.
Leadbitter 7 Looking very improved with pace to burn wing back is his natural position. J. Clarke 8 solid and assured. Thrives in the battle. Lockyer 9 he will play a lot higher level. Fearless, strong and combative. Parkes 8 strong and assured needs to improve his long range passing. Brown 8 Great goal from Mr consistent.
Sinclair 8 all action and adjusted well to wing back role. O. Clarke 9.5 MOM one of his best midfield performances in a long time. Ran the show. Lines 7 2 assists good display esp last 20 mins.
Harrison 5 not his day worked hard looked leggy. Easter 8 Again worked his socks off and took his goal well
Subs: Gosling 6 still improving with every game. Taylor 7 great impact took goal well. Bodin 6 some good touches did not look out of place.
Crowd Amazing as always Ref 7 thought he had a reasonable game Barnet 6 couple of things didn't go their way with parkes handball and bad miss second half. Keep akinde quiet and they look average.

The current squad as it stands is more than a match for most sides in L2. Our Achilles heal when we got relegated from L2 was creativity and injuries, if we address these this season we'll be fine. Lines and Montano are 2 creative additions with another winger added we should be ok. We have young players such as Gosling and O.Olarke who will be squad players that are used to playing in front of a large expectant crowds and score goals, with is worth a lot when coming in to do a job. We are hard to beat just need that bit of quality to open teams up in the final third. Over to you DC.

For me no drastic changes. GKs fine for L2. Centre Backs fine and Trotman great back up. Lockyer is a fine utility player and is by no means a finished article, he played his best game for us on Sunday. I would go with him as our right back as he is consistent and improving all the time. Leadbitter got better with games Woking away he played fantastically, great squad player. Browner class no probs. Our issue was creativity and lack of pace when in L2 last time. I love the Monkhouse Brown partnership key in a lot of tight matches. Would keep monkey as his expierence and positional play is second to none at this level. I would sign 2 wingers Nathan Arnold (Grimsby) and Jai Reason (Eastleigh) or similar. Cm's keep all and sign Lines. Ollie Clarke is a good footballer and scored vital goals vs Telford, Eastleigh and Gateshead, a good squad player who is young, hungry with a point to prove also has league expierence. Mansell to fight for place with the beard, these two are the fittest players at the club. Anyone who says Mansells legs are gone then let Sunday put that to bed, also expierenced at L2 level. Gosling technically gifted and scored some great goals, needs to improve his consistency and all round game, he is young with a great attitude and will improve in time. Balanta never got going DC has to make a decision on him. Up top excites me next season. Blissett needs to improve but what potential he has. A full pre season will help him as a big move half way in season for a youngster was always a big ask to hit the ground running. He did score goals then died off, would hate to mark him. Easter still to prove his fitness but the CV does his talking for now. Taylor has a point to prove in L2 and will be hungry to quiet the doubters. Ellis could go either way next season for me, he could fall flat on his face or he could be our next big thing. It all depends on his attitude and work ethic which improved with great results this season. In all a very good strike force with good options.
We currently have a squad of players that have been successful in the main. Let's not change that and learn from seasons past. We are going into L2 with stability, togetherness, and men that will run through a wall for Bristol Rovers, something we have not had since Trollope was in charge. I believe the management team will make the necessary tweaks required. UTG
