If we can play like yesterday more consistently then we will finish top 7. I agree with dins that DC has got tactics wrong in some games this season BUT he is still a young manager learning his trade. We are playing our best brand of football in years, its just a case of getting better quality on the field to execute training ground workings. My father in law came to Exeter yesterday after seeing all home games he was blown away by the standard of our footy yesterday. Its worth remembering that DC outsmarted one of the best managers in L2 yesterday. We aint far away we just got to support DC and get behind them.

Nicholls 7 not a lot to do decent game.
Leadbitter 7 got forward well crossing could have been better J. Clarke 5 gives his opponent to much space needs to get tighter. Lockyer 8 Assured performance. Parkes 9 MOTM back to his best looked sharper and made vital tackles. Brown 7 consistent performance.
O. Clarke 6 did ok faded last 20mins. Mansell 8 battled and lead by example a captains performance. Sinclair 8 much more penetrative going forward great hunger, effort and goal.
Taylor 7 put himself about well. Gaffney 8 mobile, held ball up and linked well with Taylor.
Subs: Bodin 5 Harrison 5 Easter 4
DC missed a trick for me. Should of subbed Clarke for Lines last 20 mins and kept Taylor on pitch with Harrison.
Crowd 8 fantastic away support in bad weather. Ref 9 let the game flow between 2 good footballing sides. Exeter 5 we controlled game and didn't let them play. We will play worst and win other games.

Nicholls 3 Slow reactions for both goals.
J. Clarke 3 didnt get forward enough, would start Leadbitter vs Exeter. Lockyer 5 not his best game. Parkes 4 Sluggish. Brown 5 did alright.
Bodin 5 looked ok but needed to grab game by scuff of the neck and be affective. Lines 5 didnt impose himself on the game. Sinclair 4 100% effort 10% quality. Made mistake for thier first goal. Cowan-Hall 5 good assist needs games for fitness as faded.
Taylor 8 Great goal and all round game didnt deserve to lose. Give hime a target man and we will succeed. Easter 4 cant remember him doing anything of note until clean through.
Subs:Harrison 3 Poor impact Montano 2 Dire impact Leadbitter 4 start him on Saturday.
Crowd 1 been to livelier funerals. Ref 2 Stevenage 4 did a job on us same as crawley.

I believe we have an investor lined up but it all depends on the outcome of the appeal. NH has stated,
1. It is also worth bearing in mind quite frequently when new investors begin talks with clubs both sides sign a confidentiality agreement forbidding either party from publicly discussing the talks. 2. We don’t want to raise supporters’ expectations before any deal is done, and sometimes when news leaks out it results in the buyers being approached by countless other clubs who are also looking for a cash injection.
It's a typical smoke and mirrors NH statement as per usual but he does need to keep his powder dry until the appeal is heard.

Nicholls 5 Caught off his line for second goal sound otherwise.
Clarke 5 grew into the game but no stand out moments. Parkes 5 still looks unfit and sluggish steady game should have scored first half. McChrystal 4 not his best game today. Subbed. Brown 6 got forward well second half consistently.
Bodin 6 1st half average at best 2nd half hit post and won pen. Lines 7 Ran the show second half some great crosses just needed a target man on the end. Sinclair 4 Out muscled first half average second half. Montano 2 looked like a sunday league player subbed.
Easter 4 Has to drop too deep to be effective leaving Taylor isolated. Taylor 6 worked hard with little reward apart from pen
Subs Lockyer 7 Should have started game DC needs to learn not to leave your best players out. Harrison 4 Not a great impact but gave us more of a target up top. Gosling Not on long enough
Crowd 5 Ref 4 Crawley 4 Good first 20 mins direct and physical. Battered after that, but managed game well with time wasting and stopping play to stop our momentum.

Nicholls 6 Quiet game, no mistakes and a clean sheet.
J. Clarke 7 Won his battle looked more assured. Parkes 7 Back to the Parkesy we know and love. McChrystal 7 Leader of men with a natural ability to get rid. Brown 7 Mr consistent.
Bodin 6 Quiet game but could open any game up at any time with a trick or piece of skill. Lines 8 MOTM good surging runs, an assist and almost back to his best. Sinclair 7 all action he is worth 2 men. Montano 7 fantastic crosses first half kept ball well.
Taylor 7 worked hard, missed a few but importantly scored a few. Easter 6 worked hard needs a goal.
Subs: Gosling 5 worked keeper. Blissett not on long enough but the crowd mocking him was awful.
Crowd 5 Ref 4 Carlisle 5

I love this forum, it goes from one extreme to another. I wonder if other forums goes through the same extremes after a win & a loss? Last few years most Rovers fans Bi-polar its like 'we hate rovers their awesome'.

Nicholls 6 not a lot to do. My only question is whether he could have claimed cross for their goal.
J. Clarke 6 grew into the game, solid. Lockyer 6 won his fair share of challenges. McChrystal 7 good performance and battling performance Brown 6 solid and consistent.
Bodin 5 quiet game but always looked a threat. Mansell 6 battled well not commanding but did a job Sinclair 6 usual running a little less quality tonight Gosling 5 some good touches in and out of the game
Easter 5 tried but not his night Harrison 7 scored and hit bar. Battled well.
Sub: Taylor 9 MOTM changed the game with his ability. Assist and goal.
Crowd 7 Ref 5 Cambridge 4 poor side that offered little in terms of entertainment.
Watched at the Abbey Stadium, Cambridge!

DC has stated we are 3 or 4 players short and players will fall by the wayside as the season progresses. Awful way to lose yesterday but seriously punishment training? that's great for team morale. Div. 4 players make mistakes same as any human being in the workplace. This squad are honest and hardworking and will bounce back. We know our weaknesses and im sure DC knows them. Yes the away form is marvellous however if that tails off we will be in the mire, unfortunately due to child care I can only go to all the home games. our relegation season we were great at home and poor away, the opposite of this season. i know DC is not being backed in the transfer market, and don't expect me to name names of how I know. i just expect a little more than. I am watching at the moment. when I said punishment training I never meant an assault course with a 60 pound pack on their back, but thought they should be in trying to talk about and do extra training trying to eradicate the poor home form, maybe I am too old fashioned but that yesterday was dog sh€€ TBF DC is doing a fantastic job of polishing a turd atm. Agree his budget is crap considered the gates we get, but NH ain't going to splash the cash anytime soon until appeal, new buyers ect. Agree to disagree on the punishment training.

Yesterday was sh**e. So bad, DC apologized on the radio after. I don't think there is massive over reaction really, but our home form is woeful this year, even the most positive of posters must concede that. agree 100%, it helps in my case that I went to Yeovil, Plymouth, Morecambe and Mansfield and have seen some form of joy supporting the team. Home games have been woeful and it is hard on those that attend home only.

listening to DC after the game never mentioned anything about that shower training today, thought it would be nailed on after that pantomime performance, and for once T boner ain't the villain in all this! DC has stated we are 3 or 4 players short and players will fall by the wayside as the season progresses. Awful way to lose yesterday but seriously punishment training? that's great for team morale. I thought CS interviewed well and it made for positive listening. Listening to NH always sounds guarded and defensive. It seems the UWE will be built just the matter of ownership and scale of the project to be ironed out. Really hope NH's exit strategy is for the good of OUR club.

Nicholls 3 costly error that changed the match.
Leadbitter 6 decent going forward. Lockyer 5 did ok. Parkes 2 looks unfit. Had a stinker. Brown 4 not his best performance.
Bodin 4 worldy goal did little else notable. Mansell 6 reasonable game. Sinclair 5 not penetrating enough apart from 1 first half run. Gosling 4 over hit a lot of passes into strikers.
Taylor 3 cant score under pressure at home. Easter 4 didn't look like scoring.
Subs: Lines 5 good corners Montano 4 Harrison 4
Crowd 4 Ref 6 Newport 5

The problem with Bliss is his weak mentality IMO. To get the better of your opponent as a striker you need aggression, Bliss is to nice simples. The 20 mins against County was his chance to say to DC * you im going all out guns blazing, fall out with defender, be animated, get a yellow for being nasty ect. Instead he disappeared and failed to make required impact.
I hope he improves and does well but something is clearly missing that is stopping him from being that player we all wished he would become. Love to be proved wrong but our club cannot afford to carry passengers anymore.

Nicholls 7 clean sheet cant fault his performance.
Leadbitter 7 clean sheet good for most parts. Lockyer 7.5 MOTM clean sheet getting better every game against 2 very experienced pro's tonight. McChrystal 7 clean sheet another assured performance. Brown 7 clean sheet a real threat first half.
Bodin 6 some good touches a little off the pace at times. Unlucky hitting crossbar. Mansell 7 good energy and presence. Sinclair 7 livewire and battling performance. Gosling 6 wasteful with final ball and set pieces.
Taylor 5 lively but ineffective. Harrison 4 not in the game to be affective.
Subs: Easter 7 looked bright and hungry. DC should have started him. Montano 5 rusty. Blissett 4 rusty
Crowd 6 Ref 7 Notts County 6 organised will be top half. Their no 33 was class.

Disappointed but still optimistic we can make top 7 with a few additions. Our football is the best its been for a long time albeit with improvements still to be made, creativity in particular. Who would have thought 12 months ago we would to disappointed drawing at home to Notts County? The frustrating thing atm is you have to go away to see goals and wins. UTG.

Nicholls 6 Not a lot to do but kicking poor and could have claimed ball in lead up their goal.
Leadbitter 6 good assist for Easters goal did not get forward as much as usual Mansfield pressed high up first half. J. Clarke 7 grew into game which culminated in a worldly assist. Lockyer 7.5 mature beyond his years shaky start as Mansfield started on fire. Parkes 7 Thrives in a physical battle done his job. Brown 7 consistent performance.
Sinclair 7 ran and ran and ran. He is worth 2 men. Mansell 8 MOTM although subbed he won everything and thrived in the battle. Ran his socks off. Lines 6 not influential got elbowed which should have been a sending off.
Taylor 7 done his job scored the winner. Easter 4 Great finish but embarrassing dive and sending off.
Subs: O. Clarke 7 done a great job and continued where Manse left off. Harrison 6 great impact good in the physical battle. Gosling 6 not on long but finds space others cant find.
Crowd 9 big part in sendings off. In the game for 101 mins vocally. Ref 1 less said the better Mansfield 7 A good side fluidity in their game was good. Lost the plot when they couldn't roll us over.

Nicholls 7 Assured performance. Decision making is my only criticism generally.
Leadbitter 7 think he will edge Clarke out for the right back spot. His positional play has improved 110% this season. Parkes 7 when is he going to score FFS. Never really troubled a little rusty. McChrystal 7 A leader on the pitch which we needed. Brown 7 Great link up play at times.
Bodin 8 Different gravy sign him up DC before its to late. Lines 7 Good assist for Taylors goal. Sinclair 8 Every blade of grass and seems to be improving his range of forward passing. Montano 6 Played ok needs game time.
Taylor 8 In form worked hard rounded off with a great finish. Easter 8.5 MOTM Great finish but his all round game and work rate is class.
Subs: O. Clarke 5 Blissett 5
Crowd 7 well entertained Ref 5 Let to many bad challenges by Wycombe go unpunished. Wycombe 7 Good going forward but defensively frail should have put 4 or 5 into them
