You'd better start a protest then, with all your mates who just won't stand for such a disgrace. I won't hold my breath, mind. Haha spoken like a true soft touch To the barricades, mate. Come on, if it's so bad, something needs to be done. Go on, do it, you hero. You can't rely on soft touches like me, you need to do it. Do it.

I couldn’t disagree with that at all. In the last twenty years we must have become the softest touch in soccer. I bet the three stooges ( Starnes/Widdington/Tisdale ) can’t believe they can pick up their salaries with so little grief. It’s a disgrace is what it is. You'd better start a protest then, with all your mates who just won't stand for such a disgrace. I won't hold my breath, mind.

I’m not calling for PTs head. He should never have got the job. The board have made a terrible decision to sack a manager not in relegation form and appoint a manager that has taken us into relegation form. Garner struggled first season, no doubt at all. I think he was 0.54 ppg. But the board stuck with him. Signed players he wanted, set things up his way and then sacked him when he had the following run: 8 games W 3 D 2 L 3 You sack a manager at a club like ours when they are struggling in the relegation zone. - Hodges at Wimbledon last 8 games W 0 D 2 L 6 - Ricketts at Shrewsbury last 8 games W 0 D 3 L 5 - Buxton at Burton last 8 games W 0 D 3 L 5 Can you not see what a catastrophic decision It was to sack a manager 8 weeks after backing him in the transfer window on a run of form where two of the losses were against teams In the top 3. You can talk about last year, you can talk about next year but the board have failed us miserably yet again and they are hiding. What's this obsession with bigging up one of the (if not the) worst managers in our history? It's starting to look pathological.

Several by Dennis Bergkamp, some were so sublime. Incredible player. For a goal nothing to do with England or Rovers, his winner against Argentina in 1998 was well celebrated here.

I can't see how all this work can be carrying on now that the designer of this whole project, Ben Garner, has left the club? To be fair, the roof would have been slightly higher had he still been here.

It looked like it might be an account from abroad and as someone said earlier, there seems to be people in Eastern Europe setting up accounts to abuse black players in England. I think Diehdiou got a similar tweet and it turned out to be from Turkey maybe. Anyway, hopefully the police investigate and if it’s someone they can prosecute then they will. Can I just point out that the lol emoji was a slip of the finger. Just click it again and it goes away.

Is this a fact, now, that we didn't back Coughlan even though he left before the window opened? Fact? Who knows but I think it is common knowledge in certain circles and from what Coghlan hinted at the time that there was no money for strengthening the squad and a major factor in him leaving for Mansfield. Basically the board wouldn’t back him. Which does contradict slightly the appointment of Garner and his dismantlling and rebuilding. Nothing added up at the time and still doesn’t. Exactly, the facts contradict what Coughlan hinted at. Coughlan hinted at a lot of things, but ultimately he proved himself untrustworthy. And when a manager says they're not backed, generally, istm, it doesn't mean they were given nothing, it usually means they weren't given exactly what they wanted.

I’m going to leave it here with one final post as it’s now the build up to a must win game on Tuesday. My final position is that regardless of the previous managers faults, whether you liked him or disliked him. If you can get over the loss of form at the end of last season or not. If you think the recruitment was good, bad, indifferent or that Garner loves LBs and hates strikers. That’s your prerogative. But make no mistake. When BG was sacked we were not in relegation form, we were not in the relegation places and we were improving as a team. Unbeaten against teams around us and below us. We now have a team that is on the verge of relegation. Awful form, not won in 9 games and changed in terms of formation and personnel on a weekly basis. We have lost or drawn to teams around us and below us. We ship goals like the titanic ships in water and can’t score for toffee. Changing manager when we did was one of the worst board level decisions I have ever witnessed. If we go down it’s due to the boards decision to sack a manager and down to Tisdale due to performance and results. That is the bottom line here. I know your stance is unpopular on here but I'm 100% with you. I believe Garner was building something and there was always going to be bumpsnon the way especially when you totally overhaul a squad. He was bought in to do this and people wanted immediate results but it dosent work like that history has shown it. If Garner was still here I believe we would be sat mid table and not to threatened with relegation. The board jumped too quickly they lost patience as they expected immediate results and now we are left with PT not knowing what system to play not knowing his best players and talking absolute drivel in his interviews. I don't think this belief is necessarily that unpopular. I think it's the way the bloke has proven it beyond any doubt, bottom line, that it's a fact, over and over again, is the unpopular bit. In any case, I'd rather have PT talking drivel than BG crying his eyes out over refereeing decisions.

“We weren’t in relegation form when Garner was fired” 1 point from last 4 games 12 points from 11 games all season No matter how you look at that, that’s relegation form. Never mind if we look at his entire record, the fact that he took the 4th best team in L1 and made them the worst. Then, when he was backed an unbelievable amount, he could only take them from being the worst in the league to 5th worst in the league. If you think that’s success and good, then I genuinely would question if you’re a Rovers fan, which I do not say lightly. If you just count the games he won then he has a 100% record, which was promotion form.

The bottom line is also known as the crack of the arse. Joking aside, probably the worst board decision I have witnessed is the choice to not back Graham Coughlan when in a strong promotion position and shoehorn Ben Garner in and undo all his hard work in the name of attractive football. I know it’s history now but we would’ve been relegated if not for Cougjlsn and who dismantles a winning team like that? Unbelievable really but something isn’t quite right at the top. Is this a fact, now, that we didn't back Coughlan even though he left before the window opened?

Changing manager when we did was one of the worst board level decisions I have ever witnessed. That's not really played out yet, though, has it. We're in the middle of his tenure and you're telling us how it's gonna work out, so there is no bottom line, yet. Ten or so games into DC's reign it would have been easy to say that that was one of the worst board decisions ever witnessed, too. If you look it up on Wikipedia you'll be able to see how that worked out. We don't know how PT's reign will pan out. Maybe we will go down and not look like coming back up and you will have a reasonable point, but if we stay up and make progress, then your comment will be nonsense. But what is sure, however PT's tenure pans out, appointing BG was in fact one of the worst board level decisions ever made. That's done now, the results are in, and it was a terrible decision. Re. PT we don't know yet.

I have known dave for years and he is a very genuine and passionate gashead that just wants the best for this club. He does not want to add any specific detail for now but hopes this may prompt the board to re-engage with him. To be honest, if you need to use a fan forum to contact the board, then something is very wrong somewhere.

I was one of the only a very few people on here saying that he shouldn't have been sacked when he was, so not really sure why you're posting that. But I am saying now, it's done. it's over. it's happened. It's gone. It's over and done with. It's had its day. It's an ex-pirate. It's pining for the fnords. Time to support PT. While you weren't on this forum, and discussing stats selectively with your mates, we've had waves and waves of people posting that the club is in danger because of (that thing they want). It's bullshit and its disingenuous. I agree the club might be in danger, but it's not (that thing you want) saving us, most especially if that thing you want is to big up about BG's stats. Presumably you were at the board meeting where Starnes and Widdrington bullied Wael into sacking Garner even though he was doing great. Comparing stats between our two recent managers who have both managed us in the current season is completely relevant to the thread OP about whether Tisdale should be sacked or not. The comparison of stats show that the board have got it horrendously wrong and should be accountable. Sacking a manager who was on course for 50 points plus with an average of 1.1 to 1.38 points per game no matter which way you carve it and replacing him with a manager on course for relegation with a PPG of 0.85 after 13 league games is a massive failure abs dereliction of duty. The board sacked a manager in November with no threat of relegation and appointed another whose results have been far worse and led us into relegation. I am comparing apples for apples. Same season, same players, same conditions, same league. Any other business and the board would be fired. It's not apples to apples. It's not even apples to oranges. You're comparing stats for someone who took over a successful side, to someone who took over a failing side. And when you're not doing that you're comparing stats for someone who had been at the club a year and picked their own squad to someone who has just taken over someone else's squad. And when you're not doing that you're pulling stats for a poor run and comparing them to someone else's best run. It's disingenuous. And it's especially disingenuous coz you seem to be claiming that there is some sort of objective standard to you cherry picking of stats. I'm gonna take it (as you didn't answer) that you were at that board meeting, it's just that you're not allowed to talk about it, right?

It's gone, though, hasn't it? Your man ain't coming back. Weird that you weren't all over this forum whining about BG when he had 0.33 points per game, and you weren't selectively quoting stats to show him in the worst light, then. I never said (or thought) BG cost us a play off place, not sure what you're talking about there. Re. being angry at Rovers, in the scheme of things, even over the last twenty years, the BG debacle doesn't even come in the top ten. I wasn’t on the forum then. However, in my circle of mates we discussed how BG was improving so if I was on here I would have posted something like this: BG first 13 games PPG = 0.54 BG last 12 games PPG = 1.25 BG last 8 games PPG = 1.38 Give me PT version of this. Show me anything that shows me sacking BG and hiring PT was anything but an abomination and a gutless move from two board members that see saving their jobs as more important than the football club. The board (Starnes and Widdrington) Have their own interests at heart. If Wael loses interest this club goes to the wall you know that don’t you? He wants young players and a sustainable football club. What has he got now? I was one of the only a very few people on here saying that he shouldn't have been sacked when he was, so not really sure why you're posting that. Yeah, read the whole sentence, instead of just taking a few words out of the sentence. As I said, you just don't come across as a Gashead, you just come across as a very limited agenda poster who just posts about your one agenda that has little to do with supporting the team generally. Sorry but that’s not true. I regularly post positive things about the team when they are relevant. I’m a big fan of Kevin Maher, McCormick, Westbrooke, Baldwin, Harries, Daly, Hanlan and Nicholson. I also respect what GC did for us and think he was treated terribly when he left. My posts are very much focussed on the board, the treatment of BG and the poor recruitment process and hiring of managers and players and our horrendous turn of form which is largely due to the board. It’s down to the board because they bought 10 or so players to be coached and managed by a certain manager. The results and points gained showed progress with these players. The board then knee jerk sacked the manager and employed someone, without an interview / recruitment process who, despite being a “football scholar” didn’t even know the players names! Are you not angry about any of this? Or are you so blinded by moaning about BG costing us a play off place that you can’t see the wood from the trees? We have 0.33 points per game from our last 6 games! We haven’t won a game of football in 9 games and have lost 10 games in 18 since PT came in. He has 700 games under his belt it’s not his first job. That’s my agenda right there It's gone, though, hasn't it? Your man ain't coming back. Weird that you weren't all over this forum whining about BG when he had 0.33 points per game, and you weren't selectively quoting stats to show him in the worst light, then. Just remember that Wael took a lot of flack for the colony being mothballed. He then put millions of his own money into developing it and didn’t say a word until the day the diggers rolled in. I think he and everybody else should be judged on actions and not words It's worth saying a lot of people spoke a lot of sh** about it in the meantime, too.
