Anyone else noticed a guy called Vardy playing for Leicester this season. He's scored a lot of goals, and some of them are so good that they could almost be described as "Tayloresque".

Someone in crowd shouting on off on off on off on off on off??? No not him, sits about 5 rows behind me in the Dribuild and continually shouts 'switch it'. What the hell that means is anybody's guess. Not quite right, Baggins. Sometimes he shouts "Box it", and sometimes "Second ball" - but mostly "Switch it", it's true. Anyway, you should be so lucky. If, as you suggest, he is five rows behind you, that makes me four rows behind you (and directly in front of Mr. Switchit).

Having read through this post, I reckon we'd better forget "Irene" and learn the words of "I miss the hungry years" - just in case.

He got pelted because he was wrestling for the ball in the net with Harrison after Taylor's goal, Harrison rightly wanted it quickly to restart and maintain momentum Northampton had been variously time wasting all game from 1-0 , frustration all round about that , in hindsight that time wasted could have been telling, 5 mins more..we'd have done them Does that justify throwing bottles, then?

I think we are all happy NH and his board have been replaced by Wael and better proven directors, the Sainsbury saga is ended, we're debt free and the team are in good form, but why is Wael looking for investors to fund the stadium (thought he was loaded) and what's happening with the UwE build / contract / capacity - could we fill anything bigger than 20k. Also slightly uncomfortable with the crowd love-in for Wael on match days. Perhaps I'm just used to it being all doom and gloom and being pessimistic by nature. Anyone else have concerns?!? I thought this so did some research into it. Turns out that some of the richest people in the world still borrow to finance large protects/purchases. Mark zuckenberg has a mortgage on his 5 million dollar home despite having wealth of 14 billion. Why? Pretty much down to good business sense. When you have that sort of wealth you have access to better rates of finance, generally under 1% which is less than inflation. So instead of losing 5 million in cash which currently earns 10% per annum on the stock market, he essentially borrows the money for free as his 500 grand profit his 5 mil makes each year covers the mortgage payments. To put this into perspective, wael parting with 30 million for the build stops him earning 3 million per annum in interest. 3 million that would easily cover finance payments from investors. Essentially the stadium gets built for free. Wow! If I'd known that I'd have built the bloody thing myself!

Got to give NH some credit he put his money in but unfortunately he got taken in by a land blocking Retailer who never had any intention of buying the MEM one things for sure no other cub will be taken in by the likes of Shamesburies again!! Nor this shopper for one. Was a regular, but haven't crossed their threshold since the first sign of reneg on the agreement. Hope plenty of others feel the same.

And not a bad keeper either! Another top class display by the "over the hill keeper", where are the doubters now? Well. No, yes, listen; the original one stands in the technical area with his arms folded. In fairness, I reckon he has pretty well admitted that he was wrong to doubt.

Fa Cup against Southampton they bought about 10000 i think and were the cup holders, we beat them and they invaded the pitch several times during the game, and at the end of the game one of their fans ran right up to the goal in front of the Tote only to get clobbered by a Rovers fan with the corner flag and then the rest of them came on only to be chased back across the pitch and out of the away end by the Tote and North stand, Great Days. ! Do you know what ? I know who the lad with the corner flag was - he went to same school as me and his whole life was about going to Rovers home and Away and getting involved in a scrap. He was known as Ibby ! Keep thinking I see him at Rovers games now on the West terrace - but probably not him. My memory though was that he was swinging the flag but didn't actually connect, but there were a fair few on the pitch and the old bill were struggling to keep order. Also remember Chelsea fans wrecking the open end fence when they were near the top of div 2 and we were fighting relegation (as usual) and amazingly we spanked them 3 - 0. Remember also Cardiff fans ( about 10 - 15 of them) standing right next to me in the Tote well before kick off. thought they sounded a bit different ( ha ha !) and also had a bit of yellow in their blue and white scarves. Low and behold at the start of the game they drifted down to the bottom of the Tote and started singing Cardiff - as a taunt - of course rovers supporters flew down the terrace and tried laying into them. They scampered over the fence and ended up being escorted to the open end with big smirks on their faces. The best thing on The Tote was when we scored and there was a medium to large crowd - the surge of supporters coming down the terrace was a great crack - but a bit scary - can remember some fans actually flying over the crash barriers - but no-one never seemed to get injured. Remember that Chelsea game. Sitting in the old stand and watching and cheering-on a squad of two dozen or so coppers, male and female, with a sergeant at the head, marching smartly from the corner of the ground where the greyhound traps were kept towards the Chelsea fans and the wrecked fence. The sergeant actually acknowledged our cheers, but the others marched on with set faces. I would have, too, - there was an awful lot of Chelsea fans!

Can't remember the year, but it was after the wooden stand burned as we were sitting in the "New?" stand. We were playing Newport, strangely enough, and the game was dire. My brother, sitting next to me, seemed to be staring at me more than watching the game. Eventually, I asked him what he was staring at, and he replied "Your nasal hair needs trimming". (Actually, he said "nose hair", but I'm trying to make us sound posh). The game was so bad that I eventually said "See you in the bar" and left - the only time that I have ever left a game before the final whistle.
