First 3 games against fancied clubs, looked good. Have now played 2 of the average clubs and made no impact, Lincoln will be the same next Saturday. Surely should have been wary of Low. Wilson lucky not to get a straight red.

Todays match only emphasised the need for a striker who plays on the last man and plays in the 18yard box. Collins is way off the pace at the moment and think Sinclair is better coming off the bench rather than starting. On the positive jack hunt looks like he will be a real attacking asset, he was getting into positions in field 1st half which was leaving space for Thomas. One thing that really annoys me is our set pieces, all this flaffing about playing it short. The amount of times the ball doesn’t ever get into the box is criminal. Anyhow hopefully things come together over the next few weeks. Jack hunt was the main positive today. For his debut first half especially he was outstanding. The best attacking display we've seen from a full back in years. Was creating so much space for himself and thomas in that first half. He put in some brilliant balls for our non existent strikers. Really excited to see how he develops with Thomas down that wing. One thing to pick up on from JB interview after the game was the slow play. I noticed the ball was very slow along the ground today slowing down our attacks. Wasn't until his interview I realised that it was the dry pitch. Sorry if already mentioned but the sprinkler system was broke so pitch was dry as a bone Great, for away games, clubs will be putting covers on the pitch and using hot air driers for a Rovers visit.

I think we will see how serious we are in the remainder of the transfer window. Passages of play going forward this season so far have looked the best in a long time. However I still think we have a problem when we don't have the ball. What we need is pretty obvious and that's basically someone who can break up play and get us on the ball and a bagsman no 9. If it was a choice I would spend big on a DCM because that's the glaring gap in our squad, basically what Coutts/Whelan did for us in L2. Judging by the amount of chances we are creating a quality no 9 would thrive, wish we got Alfie May! Basically get in a quality DCM and a Striker and we cook!! Unless a proven goal scorer can be obtained, like JCH, I would stick with Marquis. He will get 10-12. There's a lot of players in the team who capable of that number, Brown, Collins, Evans, Thomas. DCM most important for me.

Substitute keeper is the worst job in football, you don't even get to jog along the touchline every half hour. Belly at his age will not want that. He craves the fans adulation and will get that elsewhere.

I've received two, one Tuesday and one today, waiting for one more. I don't believe them when they say they were all posted Monday. And what's difficult about putting them all in one envelope if they are all at the same address. Administration and postage costs I'd imagine. Charges and profit for Ticketmaster more like it.

Do you think all 7-0 results are freaks topper? Have you seen the stats? It does look like freak result. I think it's better that Rovers are playing Barnsley and not Port Vale next week.

So I was hoping we’d get a few extra reinforcements on the plane for Portugal, looking a bit unlikely now. Looking at the squad we’re probably short on a GK, CB, RB, CM and a ST at the very minimum. We’ve got a squad currently capable of a mid table finish in league one IMO, to push on further than that we’ll have to add some quality. Agree apart from another RB - surely Hoole (our best player second half of the season) and Gibbons is enough? I wouldn’t mind Bogarde and Coburn coming back but we’ve already missed out on a couple of potential goalkeeping options. Still hoping the door isn’t completely closed on Connor Taylor 🙏 Taylor started Stokes first warm up game. Coburn not in Boro's first game.

And what about Rovers form after Xmas. What about it? Only Forest Green were worse.

Alternatively if they'd picked up another 4pts they would have finished just 2 places behind City, even though they are apparently light years ahead of us. Just stating facts, they were one of the 3 worst Championship teams and are extremely lucky to still be there. Hardly a decent Championship side as you stated. And what about Rovers form after Xmas.

Much improved second half in this second game. Quite impressed with todays performances and well worth the £4. From Cardiff forum. "Finished 1-0 - we barely had a kick in the last twenty minutes."

Born in Newport and played for City when he was younger .Not unreasonable to think that he may want to return closer to his homebase Just seen that Plymouth have announced he's leaving this morning. They offered him a new deal, but the deadline has passed and he didn't take it up. So they thought he was good enough for Championship.

Automatic choice, Belshaw, Hoole, Gordan, Collins. Automatic choice if fit, Rossiter. Automatic if he signs, Grant Ward Decent enough, but not automatic. Sinclair, Evans, Finley, Marquis, Loft, Connolly. Automatic Josh Grant, if fit and signs. Hoole and Collins will attract offers.

Retained list. What I expect to see (assuming no contracted players publicly told to go!) Under contract: Belshaw, Ward, Hoole, Gibbons, Connolly, Gordon, Rossiter, Finley, McCormick, Evans, Loft, Marquis, Collins, Sinclair, Jones, Greenslade, Lawerence Released / Retired: Jaakola, Rodman, Coutts, Whelan, Anderson, McDonald , Clarke, Egan (assume not under contract) Loans returned: Coburn, Balcombe, Gibson, Bogarde, Quansah Offered deals Ward, Grant, I thought McDonald showed enough to be offered a short deal. Hoole and Gordan could attract interest from better paying clubs. Bolton must have been impressed by them.

A Wednesday fan on the BBC Sport website saying the playoffs are not fair, if they'd finished in the top 2 then they wouldn't have needed to worry about the playoffs. A goal start for the higher placed team would make it fairer. Wouldn't have helped the Owls though.

A shame it’s unlikely you’ll get anymore than 20 games out of Rossiter His nickname should be Alfa Romeo, in the garage more than on the road But when they're on the road, they are great.
