I see some unofficial items are now on the market.
Please don't buy these as God knows where the money goes.
Buying from the club, either in the shop or on brfcdirect means that the money helps towards funding for new players and paying off debts.
Coincidentally, yesterday I saw a Rovers fan proudly wearing a shirt in town - you don't often see that.
To be fair I also saw a City shirt, so he deserves credit in my opinion as well. It's easy to hid when things aren't going well and we know we have more than our share of fickle fans.
If you don't yet own a shirt, they are now reduced, so why not buy one to help relive the memories of this season?

I think Rodman will make an excellent coach. I think he was doing some work with the younger players while he was injured, and he also gets a lot of praise as our Education Ambassador with the Community Trust. It would be good to keep somebody of his calibre within the club. The problem is that as mere supporters we don't know who are good or bad coaches. Manse and Parrinello were well liked and highly regarded, but Joey didn't think they were winners, or at least could make players winners. It will definitely be interesting to see if the likes of Hulbert, Phillips, Mehew or Lainglas get their deals extended. I suppose the question is if Joey thinks they are able, ready, or just not ready yet.

Absolutely.
A DVD should be made.
If everyone who subscribed was treated to watch the premier at the Mem with the players, it would make loads with sales and bar takings.
Like DVDs have alternative endings, how about Screen Soccer do an alternative commentary of the Scunthorpe game.
"Pinch me Dave" - "I will if this one goes in!"

No plans for a promotion brochure from Keith I think Keith's produced books are excellent, but if he is no longer employed by the club, surely the media team/ programme editor can produce something?

Without Elliott, we would not have made the play offs.
To get two loan signings of a generation in one season is amazing, but I don't think it is so easy.
As it stands expect about 16th next season.
All depends on how much Wael spends.

Agreed Whelan was awesome a true professional and quality midfielder Deserves much praise for his contribution all season. Read that his Mum passed during the season. Belated condolences. No doubt she would have been very proud of his fantastic career.

Well done to Pete in already bringing out a promotion range in the shop.
Let's do our bit in helping Wael and Joey and spend, spend, spend.
Who knows, collectively we might spend the couple of hundred thousand that might help us sign a replacement for Elliot Anderson.
Mods can you add links to brfcdirect?
Does anyone know if the media team are bringing out a Keith Brookman type end of season book?

What a great day that is going to be for faithful servant Steve Bissex and the family of Kevin Austin.
We can celebrate with a mix of promotion heroes from Joey, Belly, Lord Byron, Rickie Lambert, Manse, et al

Don’t care for the sexuality of our players. All that matters is they give their all when they put on the quarters and that they can live their life as they feel they want to and not have to put on a facade either way. If they feel they have to be something they’re not then that would be very very sad. That is my point. Although after recent events with my mate, I am ashamed that other people in our circle don't feel that way and he has been alienated by a few. I hope that the current love of our players by the supporters would give them the strength and belief to be true to themselves. There must be lots of gay players within the 92 clubs, but sad that even in these more enlightened times, not one can actually come out. Amazing that it is still a love that dare not speak its name. One a few do, I expect a few older ex players will also feel comfortable. I would like to think the club and fans would support any player who made the breakthrough while at the club.

If two of our players took this opportunity to come out, do you think all our fans would still just appreciate them as players?
By the law of averages we must have had lots of gay players in the past and no doubt some are regarded as legends - some may have not been able to play as well as they could due to the stress of not being the real selves.
Amazing that in the world of entertainment ( music, tv, film etc) that being gay is accepted, but if one or two of the promotion winning squad came out, do you think our supporters would be so understanding?
One of my mates from school came out last week. He was married to a school sweetheart and has a daughter. They knew - I think his wife always knew and they just had a special friendship, but he was shunned by some of his so called mates and colleagues.
He couldn't get a ticket today but no doubt there are plenty of gay fans in the crowd. Isn't it a sad reflection that players and fans can't be real?

Was he substituted so he could be given a farewell send off by the fans?
Would not be surprised if a top league one club from up north came in for him, offering 3-4 times what we can offer.

Harry Anderson won't probably feature on many peoples lists for MotM but what an outstanding work ethic.
Lost count of the times he burst past people forcing other Scunny players to cover and leave gaps for other Rovers players.
Got fouled time after time. A unsung hero but no doubt he played a massive part.
Also young Connelly deserves massive credit. So composed and patient. When lots of fans were suggesting he whoosh it forward he took his time to play to Elliott's feet. I hope we sign him. Unfortunately out of Evans and the loans, I think Connelly is probably the only one we have a decent chance of keeping.

Well the whole point is so that the SC can share with the club peoples details so they can get priority access to tickets. Why would the club ask for that? They can’t do it anyway that’s the whole point? And even if they could ST holders have priority over all the other priorities so there’s no point in doing it anyway! Must be missing something. The point is that if we are in the play offs the home leg will be a sell out. By having a priority the ST rightly get first dibs, so the remaining 5,500 or so tickets can be shared between members of the SC, Sharescheme, Helpline, YP, Presidents club, Club members first etc, so the loyal fans, who have paid their membership for years, have a chance of getting a ticket, rather than have a complete free for all, with some Johnny come latety on ticket master.

Probably not a popular choice but goal of the season for me was Harries v Mansfield.
Technically brilliant. Left foot volley hitting a ball dropping from a great height from outside the area and launching it like a rocket into the far top corner.
If that was Messi, Ronaldo, Salah etc it would be rated as a worldie.
Moment -when Kevin Bond joined. No coincidence that after a few weeks watching and surveying what was going on, he started to have an impact and everything changed.
Game - Rochdale nuff said!

But the facts say something quite different. If the points per game under BG continued until the end of the season, we would have stayed up. The points per game under JB last season was less than BG. When JB came in, we actually got worse. I’ve had a career in data and statistics and I’d be the first to wheel out the phrase “lies, damn lies and statistics.” Statistics can be bent to show that we were doing ok under Garner but they only tell half a story and a good analyst will read the context beneath the more obvious trends which tell the more likely truth. Garner had a month of relatively straight forward fixtures which made it look like we were doing ok. And a set of results where we managed to fluke something. We didn’t look convincing in many of those matches. When we lost we got battered and sometimes it was surprising we didn’t lose by more. This is ultimately how he got the sack as the board could see that we were heading in the wrong direction. A season is based over 46 games and I assure you if himself or Tisdale had a full season of the players they had the result would not have differed. A bit like how if you ended the season in October we’d have been in trouble yet come May we’re now in touching distance of automatic promotion. Surely your assurance is an opinion not based on stats or facts? People talk about managers but Covid and injuries is what relegated us. JB knew the best hope of avoiding relegation was Nicholson and Hanlon. He kept playing them when the medical staff advised they would get injured. - not blaming JB but he obviously thought it was a risk worth taking? - what options did he really have? Add in Jakkolas injury and what chance did we have of staying up. PT fell out with the powers that be as he said the squad wasn't good enough - isn't that what JB said in a more forthright manner? If he was still in charge would he have rested Nich and Hanlon so they may have earned more points in the later games? Remember we lost loads 1-0 in JBs reign. Garner had a tight budget based on the mantra of young promising players. This season Wael has thrown money at the problem. The problem is that an extra million does not have the same effect the higher up the leagues and we have lots of players out on contract, so a further rebuild is needed in the Summer. JB has done a good job, but if nearly any manager was given an extra million+ budget in this division, then I would expect them to do well. If Scunthorpe could turn back time and buy players on the wages of the likes of Pittman, Whelan, L Clarke, T Clarke, Brown etc on top of their current squad, I doubt they would be relegated. If Wael tries to make us profitable like he did with Garner and Coughlin by giving JB the budget the club (not Wael) can afford, we will be down again ie replace Evans, Nicholson, E Anderson and Whelan, with Tomlinson, Westbrooke, Mehew and Martinez.

Andy Carroll - played with JB and would fit the Pittman, L Clarke experienced older pro mould.
Would be useful in the last 15 minutes for corners alone!

As for the future, I would like to see us raise money for tickets for low income families to maybe get some tickets in a ballot style system so they can attend a game in these particularly tough times. We could maybe ask the club to put aside in advance some tickets for say a dozen games and draw the lucky winners. The football club is now well financed by our superb owner and maybe we should turn our attention to Gasheads and their families who may be struggling. Just a thought, keep the comments coming and UTG! How do you determine low income? A joint income of 60k+ sounds a lot but with maintenance to an ex, step kids and financially dependant older relatives, take home is very low. It could cause a lot of arguments on here, plus you have the 30 year olds claiming kids tickets for matches, so who is to say that everyone who claims to be low income will be honest. Very difficult to police. Plus if/when Waels leaves, I don't see his kids having much interest. The club will be in a terrible position then. Remember financially this season will be one of the clubs worst ever ( when fans can attend). It is not sustainable and we are wholly relient on one man. God bless him, but he can't keep throwing £2-3 million to cover losses each season. Let's not kid ourselves a new contract for Evans, plus 7-8 new signings to ensure we are better than Fleetwood, Morecombe, Shrews and Cheltenham to make sure we stay up will not be cheap. Maybe keeping a nest egg for Sharescheme 2 when it is needed maybe a better idea.

If we go to Wembley, will SC members get cheaper coach tickets?
