It was always laughable to think we'd struggle to put out 2 teams. So you'll be happy come August if DC puts this team out at Charlton? Adam Smith or Sam Slocombe, Luke Russe, Daniel Leadbitter, James Clarke, Lee Brown Liam Sercombe or Chris Lines, Stuart Sinclair or Ollie Clarke, Billy Bodin, Rory Gaffney, Ellis Harrison, Byron Moore, Sub: Ryan Broom You love to twist things don't you topper. Give it a rest son.

Craig Noone would be a good signing at League One level. The 29-year-old winger has previously scored 7 goals and created 15 assists from 47 League One appearances. He helped Brighton win the League One title in 10/11 and helped Cardiff win the Championship title in the 12/13 season. He can play on either wing and has been told he can leave Cardiff. At the right price I'd love to see someone of his quality and experience join us. www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/craig-noone-leave-cardiff-city-13054505

With new coach/scout Brian Dutton going over to Real Oviedo this summer to study the club's methods and players, are we likely to see any foreign recruits during this window? One of his roles is identifying players from abroad who could fit into Rovers' side. 26-year-old, former Spain U17/U19 international, Dani Aquino, could be one of those players. The former Real Oviedo player scored 27 goals in 45 appearances for third tier side Racing Santander during the 16/17 season. The left footer can play on either wing or as a striker. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Aquino_PintosI really think this lad has the potential to score 20 goals in League One. Pacey, direct, skill/flair/technique, good finisher, versatile. Quality player. If Aquino could be convinced to move to England/League One it could be an inspired capture.

I suppose it's possible, but if he rejoins a former club my money would be on Wimbledon as a replacement for Reeves.

I wouldn't have thought so. CM is one position we are fairly covered for. If we are going to be signing 5 players as DC suggested then I would imagine them to be: 2 x strikers 1 x LM/LW 1 x CB (left footed) then the other 1 I was thinking would maybe be LB cover for Brown. Not really sure about the 5th but is the least priority regardless.

It's a key role and we need to reduce the number of goals conceded, because we were on a par with the relegated sides.

Gareth Ainsworth hopes star duo Aaron Pierre and Marcus Bean put pen to paper on their new deals offered to them recently. Bean had an excellent second half of last season and has known Ainsworth since their QPR playing days together and Pierre is one of the most sough after defenders in the lower leagues. “We have offered an improved deal to Aaron. Unfortunately a few top end League One clubs and a couple of Championship clubs have expressed an interest but nothing solid. “I have been there as a footballer and we respect that Aaron wants to play as high as he can but if there is a club that doesn’t necessarily feel right for him, we here at Wycombe Wanderers definitely want to keep Aaron Pierre.” On trial at the sh**. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40530384www.bcfc.co.uk/news/johnson-plans-pierre-talks/

He has actually been on trial at city which possibly means his other offers are from league 1 and 2 clubs but he wants to play for a championship club. I did wonder if we were one of the other clubs to offer him a deal as on paper he would be a decent signing.

Atm we only have Ollie Clarke who does that job. If he gets injured or suspended etc next season then we currently wouldn't have a defensive midfielder to play. Plus, I've got a feeling we're going to see us playing 4-3-3 quite often this season, in which case you need 5 CMs anyway.

I was surprised Joe Partington or James Clark wasn't utilised in that position when Ollie was injured

No Kennedy or Godden in the Stevenage squad for their friendly against Norwich for unexplained reasons. I wouldn't mind seeing either of them at the gas tbh.

Kennedy has a lovely left foot and looks a very good prospect. I only didn't mention him as I thought he would be too costly and have interest from the Prem/Championship. If Darragh MacAnthony was correct and Stevenage want £1mil for Godden that would seemingly rule us out too. www.thecomet.net/stevenage-fc/could-ben-kennedy-become-stevenage-s-first-1million-player-1-4838602

Given they've signed a couple of strikers this transfer window and they want to raise funds for a improved north stand, I can see them selling Godden for 500k. Kennedy will probably go to the prem/champ/Celtic I agree.
