For me I would like to see Slocombe Parts Sweeney Broadbent Brown BB Sercs Lines Bola Gaffers Telford Brown and Bola swapping / overlapping Sercs & Lines together in midfield sounds a recipe for disaster, particularly when we'll need to try and protect the CB's on Saturday, plus why try and confuse our new CB partnership by having the LB's swapping places during the match!!

happy bl00dy hangover more like! Without a doubt! The trouble is it takes me a couple of days to get over one now. Isn't it great getting old! That's a definite and huge NO from me. I just wish I knew then, when younger, what i know now. I certainly would make some big changes. I only drink on match days and then it's very rarely more than 3 or 4 so hangovers are basically a thing of the past but I still find it near impossible to order a non alcoholic drink when I sometimes go to eat. Happy birthday fella. Hope it's a good un plus 3 points, to make it the perfect weekend for you and us. For once I feel we may win this and win well

Hoping very much Sincs plays - to bolster our weak midfield - then we might stand a chance. Bola and Partington also a must for me. If Leadbitter not fit, I'd have Bola on the right and Parts partnering Sweeney as GGMI has suggested. In fact I'd go with that 2nd line-up

Hang on a minute there's no Sercombe - he would play for me and Lines on the bench.

Need to put an end to these sendings-off. They signal desperation by players who have lost it. That's not like Rovers, so need to make sure we don't get into desperate situations in the first place. None of the red cards were players "losing it" Let me help you out. By losing it I meant any of the following (and maybe more):
- losing self control - losing shape - losing positional discipline - losing confidence or concentration - losing support or interest in, or from, team-mates - losing determination or commitment (very unlikely as we are The Gas) - losing fitness or pace etc
Take your pick, but the red cards are a sign of something not right.

If we are to get anything from the game we will have to keep a close eye on Newcastle loanee midfielder Sean Longstaff. He's been in impressive form with 4 goals and 3 assists from 6 appearances so far in the league. If we give him time and space he can unleash from distance too with a couple of screamers scored already (see below). The midfield battle will be key with Middlesbrough loanee Callum Cooke also impressing with 2 goals and 3 assists.

Why not:- Slocombe Bola Parts Sweeney Brown Sercombe Sincs Lines Bodin Gaffers Telford Although personally I'd go:- Parts Broadbent Sweeney Bola Sercombe Sincs Lines Bodin Gaffers Telford Although if Burn is fit there's always a chance DC will play him at CB.

Have we sold Ollie Clarke? - No-one has mentioned last season's "best player".

I've changed my mind on the lineup and, if Sincs is fit, would go with:
Slocombe
Partington, Sweeney, Broadbent, Bola
Clarke, Sinclair, Lines
Bodin, Harrison, Nichols

Just at the back I would like to see...
slocombe
Bola Parts Sweeney Brown
Parts is a calm head I think we need that at the back and he captained his old club so won't mind being vocal in amongst the back 4.
Bola, with Slocombe have been the best performers for me so far. needs to start again.
Sweeney not hit the ground running, but think he will find his form again.
Brown always gives 100% would be nice to see him back nd might look more at ease with not being a member of less shaky defense.

We have already got a lack of width, so you would play a left back at right back (ok in emergencies, but on Sat?) and one of out best assist providers (Parts) who has barely played there for years, at centre back?

If one of our defenders has the most assist, that screams things arent great in front of them. If Parts can stop us from conceding almost 3 goals a game at the back id rather he do a job at CB. Bola looks to be a good footballer, is in form, and may do a better job than Leads who is struggling at the moment.

Yes I would. Bola did fine vs Fulham at RB. And Parts is one of those players who I feel would do himself justice whereever he played. He has the height, calmness and composure to play CB. Burn isn't up to it on recent showing and Broadbent and Sweeney would be too similar together.

Fair enough, I can see your reasoning and Parts would probably do ok at CB, but I would just rather play players in their favoured positions and where they have impressed the most this season.

If DC is planning on dropping BB or the returning Sincs could he let us know in advance and I'll stay at home!! With Locks out I assume OC is stand in captain, if so, I guess that means he's virtually guaranteed to start. As far as posters saying Parts is a more solid defender than Leads, didn't they notice that Parts was caught hopelessly out of position for Wolves goal on Tuesday?

Would certainly go with your second line up - even though Partington was way out of position for Wolves goal - maybe just lack of game time - although I think he will stick with Clarke over Sinclair at the moment. I feel Burn is toast (Burn(t) and will be offloaded in January. That's only 5 changes from your starting line from the Wolves game so that should be ok from a DC perspective.

I was going on the basis that Leadbitter limped off after a long game and so might not be ready for another start. BB probably needs a small rest so a spot on the bench for the next match might refresh him. Don't want him to burn out. I think partington had been on the pitch about a minute when they scored (please correct if wrong) Good job BB didn't leave in the transfer window else you wouldn't be going at all I guess (?)
