Sounds like the players are still behind DC and we’ve defended well. Need to start Mayenese and Broadbent for a few games in a row now. It’s the 2nd time they’ve played together with 1 goal conceded. We’ll pick it up and win our next match. UTG Why keep posting this happy clappy nonsense on here, it's gutting we let in a late goal to lose yet another away game, what we do in our next match isn't really relevant tonight. Not happy clappy nonsense though is it ? Broadbent and mayenese have played together twice and conceded 1 goal. I’d stick with them for a few games personally, that’s my opinion if you don’t like it fair enough.

Makes sense to see why they like the Ref so much, that was some added time !

It's his opinion which I happen to agree with. just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's 'happy clappy' result is again poor but nothing was won or lost in November!

come on mate they did. They were pushing all second half and we were trying to park the bus Rovers defended well, that is what I meant. If they hung in there it would have been a good away point. thats true, we did. But it’s always going to be hard to play that technique indefinitely.

Bit gutting really but having looked at the predictions 1-0 is a lot better than most expected...
Very unlike DC to play that far back, like he was playing for us to pick up a point to boost morale. Had Nichols not got a silly booking I think we would have pushed more than we did but when he went off we just didn't have the creativity/movement.
We go again, home game against the Dons and the perfect match to get 3 points and boost morale with a big win.

So Dam angry!!!! 7 defeats out of 8 and only a minute away from a desperate point. From what I am reading we parked the bus, coach and the whole of the world behind Adam Smith but still couldn't keep a clean sheet! Hey but don't worry Lockyer and Sweeney are back next week! Something has to change somewhere as we are so brittle!

Watched online. Simply not good enough today, Adam Smith worries me constantly running off his line. Fair play to DC changing tactics and playing out for the draw nearly came off but we needed more counter attacks. Maybe a change from 4-3-3 might help as well? I would stick with this CB pairing for another game. Oh the joys of following the Gas!

Yes i agree with this. They have earned their right now for a chance to have a decent run of games together.

Plenty of nervous moments involving TB and RM where Smith hadn't called for the ball or come of his line to collect when he should have.

I think we're poor all over the park footballs a team game and DC'S running out of ideas with such a bad recruitment in the summer

We needed to show some resolute defence today which sounded like we achieved that, well almost. I hope DC sticks with this as already suggested, especially after the pathetic defending that has gone on in many games this season.

Unfortunate to concede so late, although we spent the second half defending very deep. Thing is, if we had pushed forward & conceded another 3 or 4, some would be moaning as to why DC didn't sit back & settle for what we had. They are a top 5 club & we are going through our worse run for 3 years - the team will be devastated but if the commitment is maintained we will be fine. UTG

Granted, not a lot going forward but we couldn't afford to be open today and ship another 3+ goals. Tactics so nearly paid off. Another defeat but an improvement in terms of effort and defending as a unit. Agree we should run with these CBs for the next match.

In the game till the last few minutes. Usually we are out of it after the first few. It won't always work but I'd rather we try to keep it tight and lose 1-0 than get embarrassed.

Absolutely gutted with the kick in balls at the end. That is really gona hurt the boys and the morale will take another massive nose dive. We need to get right behind them next week straight from the off, they will need us. Massive game next Saturday I will be there loud and proud, we’re Gas and that’s what we do. UTG

To be fair, Broadbent let their guy through for no reason who could have easily scored, then he got in Smith's way for a back-header which could have easily gone in. Menayese had two or three incidents where he and Smith completely miscommunicated.
It's not like they were rock-solid until the last minute.
